People I'm back from pound 3. I have have alot of info to share with with you. First I'd say that BRAWL WAS AT POUND 3. I played at least 10 matches, Both with Peach and Pit I have a mountain of info. I'll add it to the first post. Also I'd like to say L-canceling is out. Some character can do air move and when they land it has Zero lag. Characters like Pit. Dash Dancing is in but hard to do. I actually did it with Peach and didn't fall. With some characters when you try to dash dance they trip (ink drop). Wavelanding is in but very hard to do. NO ONE can wavedash at all. People were trying even me. Don't try it it won't work.

Also something VERY important. Do not play brawl expecting it to play like Melee. That will ruin you. Brawl feel alot like Smash 64. In the beginning it was hard for me to get use to Peach. When playing Brawl you change the way you play. Another thing Don't hold down and c-stick. it will create a tilt instead of a D-Smash.

Btw Peach Still has her Float cancel YAY!! Peach is very quick and strong. Her float cancels make her one of the best characters in Brawl. Beware Ike is dangerous. He can probably counter Peach. Also Ike is not as slow as everyone says. He is too strong. Beware of Ike players.

This is all all I'll say now. I'll add the rest of my impressions in the first post. Overall peach is excellent in Brawl and can survive for a long time. Look forward to maining her. XD

Did you see any of the videos I posted?
Was Peach's Down tilt any easier to spike with if you tried it?

Why worry about Ike? Worry about MARTH. He has been de facto improved from his Melee counterpart, and will outrange Peach on all accounts. Not to mention, items can be caught during aerials, which will nerf Peach's turnip game against anyone.

Couldnt it be good for Peach too?
Maybe you could trick them into catching it and lead to something else...

I actually use item catching to stall. I throw two turnips, they catch the first one, and while they're dodging the second one (still stalled from catching) I hit them with a dash attack.

A new video
Its a WiFi match between Peach and Link.

00:21-00:23~It appears that her parasol can do 20% and even kill people but I'm unsure if that was because of the items or not.

01:15-01:22~Also it seems that her FS does 10% damage if the person is far away so I guess this does confirm the damage varying on the distance they are from Peach.

02:23-00:26~Also her Dair seems to do 15% now.

02:30-02:32 Even though we know this the Side B does 15 and it seems like a Semi-Spike to me....

Unfortunately for some of you I'm going to have to agree with icy_icicle. The quality of certain posts in this thread is completely nonexistent. If you're going to merely post the same spam over and over, do it in a different thread. It's sickening to try to look for actual information while weeding out garbage like OMG PEACH IS SO CUTE.

I had a conversation with crystal107 about the new Peach. You can read it here http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=141522&page=2
There's also high quality videos in the first post!
I saw those videos..
To me it seemed like FC wasnt that affective, in fact it didnt even look like she could when Peach tried....
It might just be me though....

Btw here are the youtube links incase you cant watch themthe other way.

Also in those videos...
Was it me or is Peach still kinda lacking KO moves?...Because it like to her forever to KO Sheik...
I know it couldve just been the player but still...
And jeez I wish they wouldve nerfed the needles so they dont have that much hit stun...

Well it's alot harder to KO in general in Brawl, that's why it looks like that. Also everything has alot more hitstun now.

Fighting Marth seemed alot easier than fighting Ike, in fact I didn't have much of a problem fighting him at all (of course we don't know how this will really be when everyone knows what they're doing). Omg I forgot to mention this, it is ALOT easier to catch items now...and you catch them so easily by airdodging which makes things even worse.

Ok its no big deal lol.... I actually didn't use those two moves X_X ... I had wanted to try out the Peach Bomber too and completely forgot about it. Anyway, a few things I did learn: Stitches does NOT really kill... it does the same damage, but the knockback is pretty insignificant. The Beamsword is AWESOME however. The thing is like Sephiroth's sword and deals heavy damage. Peach still has alot of priority and can obviously attack very quickly as shes the only character that can cancel all of her attacks...I don't know if this is well known alot yet but certain aerials of other characters auto-cancel.
I'll probably post more on her in a little bit.

Yeah but the damage is the most important to me...
And yes those beam swords are super long! I'm going to guess thats its going to take more time to pull it out..
Oh another thing....Did you use the parasol much? If so how would you compare the length to melee?
Gosh I feel like an interviewer lol...

I feel special lol. She's still powerful, but like I said its much harder to KO in general. I loved using the parasol. I had used it in combos in Melee and now it can kill (well at high percentages at least). It seems to have more hitboxes now too. The length I think is about the same but the main problem with using it is youre more vulnerable after using it because you fall alot slower with it now -_-

You can cancel your momentum from an attack by throwing a turnip in the opposite direction of your momentum.

Also Fair cancels momentum from horizontal smash attacks.

Oooh! I wanna ask questions! =3 ...uhhh... well... peach bomber... toad... parasol... items... final smash... combos... people who're hard to fight... float cancel... attack cancel... Oooh ooh! I think I have a question... umm in the video I saw it seems like Peach's forward throw has been nerfed, but in one topic at E for All I read that it was BUFFED (I guess they changed it?)... question is at what percentages does it usually KO somebody? Also is using ANY throw move to KO an opponent a really good idea? O.o

Sorry if these questions have been asked already... or are stupid. -_-;;;

Well for the f throw I really was expecting it to be awesome yet it didn't send them quite that far (even at around 100%). Really though, it doesn't seem like ANY throw from any character is going to KO unless the opponent is at an obnoxious percentage. As for who's hard to fight, so far I think possibly Ike and I had trouble against Mario but I think it was because I was fighting DA Dave who owns the game :ohwell:...

Snakeee your a great help by answering all these questions for people. But honestly Majority of the questions being asked are already answered in my first post. Read my Peach impressions. I put a lot of new info in my First post.

Also One thing I want to say is this. Most of us are really use to melee. When you get brawl take some time maybe an hour or so, and play brawl against computers or a friend. Brawl really does feel different The first time you play as peach it WILL feel weird. Trust me. And for those of you with the lighting fast fingers, you'll need to slow down to adjust because you will be killed if you rush. People I'm not saying Peach will be hard to use. I'm just saying she feels different in brawl, most of the characters do. You'll see what I mean when you play the game.

They're found at 38-present...
Anyways I think I'm going to have a rough time getting used to the slower gameplay....
Hey you know what I wondered? Okay you know how there are 3 taunts..What if there were 3 different entrances?....

Thanks and sorry if you had answered them already. I didn't realize you updated the first post. You're right about the mechanics of the game, they do take some getting used to. Actually, Peach players should probably have the easiest adjustment out of everyone because she's so similar to the way she was in Melee. What you said about having fast fingers is kinda sad but true... for one thing if you try to dash dance (normally at least) or you mess up your momentum in some other way your character trips o_O

EDIT: This is Snakeee

Ah I read your first post Master Peach, I'm sorry that I didn't do that before though. ^^; Thank you both for providing information for those of us without the game! I really appreciate it. ^.^

Also another question... I'm sure it's probably been asked and it's probably really stupid... but can Peach's dance taunt do ANYTHING to opponents like people originally thought? O.o

Well to tell you the truth, that last post didn't really have to do with you. You were doing a good job. I just wanted people to know that I did update the first post with lots of information. If people ask questions I don't mind you answering them.

As you said Peach Players should have the easiest time adjust to Peach, but (for me anyways) Pit was easy to adjust to as well. Pit was fast smooth and amazing. He could survive for a long time, Camp like crazy. and can Build Damage. I'm not joking. his side B, Uair, Nair, and Neutral A combo can really build Damage. Pit is Perfect for Peach Players!

Also what you said about dash dancing and tripping. I Dash Danced once, I was fine, but during other times when I was trying to move I kept falling. it was funny. Peach players are going to have to Float to get around lol. Also Marth Players were falling down every 10 second trying to move and dash. This is really going to screw with us lol.

Know what... I'm not really sure on that. Most likely I think nothing will happen. But since I haven't really tried doing that on someone I can't really say for sure.

Oh I forgot to add that most of the people I was playing were very good players since this was at Pound 3, so most of them had good DI and some moves may be stronger in general than they seemed when I used them because of this. For instance Master Peach said that he was able to kill with the f throw. This was not the case at all for me because my opponent DI'ed well and went almost straight up like he said can happen.
Master Peach also said that the Up-B could only kill near 200%, yet I was able to kill at around 150% and the opponent went flying so high and fast it seemed like it would have killed at lower than that. (My opponent definitely did not think they would have to DI that move o_O)

Yeah this true. Peach's slap is powerful but if DI'ed correctly it won't Kill. It sends People flying straight up. I mean I did it on battle field and I thought the person i did it on was died, but Battle fields top was pretty high. The point is if you don't this to surprise people you won't get the kill off this unless their at really high Damage. DI in this game is really serious in this game. It's what'll make a difference to how you'll Win or Lose.

No this really happened, and was this yesterday you saw this when they first let people play in that room? If it was I think I was the first person there to do that, especially since when I did it everyone flipped out lol. I heard several "WTF??!!!'s" and "That's a kill move now??!!"

Oh I see. I'm really surprised because Someone had told me that Peach killed that guy at 200% with the Umbrella. I saw what happen but didn't see the Damage. Nice job. :chuckle:

New advanced tech especially useful for Peach? From what I can tell, it seems to be some sort of a pseudowavedash that works especially well for characters who have access to lots of items. In the middle of a roll, pressing A while holding something (i.e. turnips) results in a glide and the item being thrown. Check it out, there's supposed to be a vid up about it soon:
