no i already told the ppl @ the store that most of us that are used to going to tourneys wont pre-reg...theyre just getting random customers from their store to enter ahead of time so they have a rough estimate of how many ppl there will be. i explained that all the ppl finding out about it via smashboards will register the day of (like we're used to doing)

Hmm. Would it be ok if I brought my wii w/ wiikey and brawl? I thought it would be nice to play a little bit before the release and maybe have a mini tournament since were gonna be there for 12 hours.

Also, I plan to bring a vcr to record some friendlies and finals. I have a gamebridge here at home and I'll use that to put the matches up on stage 6 or youtube.

ok so i talked to the ppl at gamecrazy today, they said theres already like 40 ppl that pre registered at the store. of course im expecting some of those ppl not to show up, they might forget, etc....but thats not including the 20 or so ppl coming who are tourney regulars...and KC is coming btw...so theyre gonna try and talk the store manager into doubles. ill know for sure prolly by the end of the week.

I somehow doubt that place would be big enough to accomodate 40 people.

i dont think all 40 will show up...some will probably forget its going on. ive never seen a local tournament go above 50 ppl so i expect this one to be more between 30 and 50 total, including pre registered ppl and tourney regulars.

also..being those ppl who pre registered are just random customers...some of them will probably just leave after pools if they've never seen competitive smash.

there are 6 setups right now, and the store said they can provide more setups if necessary. HOWEVER...4 of those 6 are the little screens used to play game demo's on...so if u dont want to be squinting to see the match...i suggest a few ppl bring additional set-ups just incase.

*edit* there are 6 TV's, that doesnt include gamecubes or smash discs, so bring those!

Wow i want to go to this but i live in springfield missouri which is 3 hours away so staying at a hotel is something i might have to do in order to go to this tournament any body have suggestions on how i can make this work...

*Reminder* all those who plan on purchasing Brawl after the tourney remember to bring some extra cash...the store will be open til midnight and the owner said they will probably have 50-60 copies that aren't reserved, so there should be enough for everyone who wants a copy.

im 100% going to the tournament now but i would like to know if there is a limit to how many people can enter because if i drive 3 hours and find out that all spots are taken that would really suck.

doubles is looking more promising! i just have to get an OK from the store manager but since theyre staying open til midnight...it looks like it will happen!

i dunno if that was funny i just had too much adrenaline or somethin lol. So what characters do you guys main im kind of interested in how competitive the competition will be. oh and i also am wondering if brawl will be on sale after the singles tournament because i might purchase it if there are enough copies. im 15 how old are you guys i thought you would be like 17 or and just drive there...or maybe you are but you unfortunately can't drive.
