I could ask mum if we can host some people however I live about an hours drive away from the venue which is about 2 hours by public transport. Although if at least one person. Who we host drives up/down then it would be ideal and I could possibly have up to three people. I ok have to check though.

If you stay at my place there will definately be some 64 playing as long as you bring down some of your controls (at least 3 if you want all to be working well) and bomber man. I'll have to fnd my golden eye though.

Rydges World Square tower is the BEST place for partayying. Provided you don't launch yourself thru the window and fall down to the depths due to drunkiness!

It has teh best views ever!

It's going to cost $160 assuming that we purchase the tickets NOW.

For everybody who wants to catch the same flight as me, I'm willing to pay for your tickets when I get mine (It's quite easy to do), but we need to have a meet so you guys can pay me back.

Alternatively, if there's anybody else who wants to buy the tickets for everyone, I'm open to that as well since I don't have immediate internet buying capability.

There's also the option of using the Brisbane Airport, which is much more straightforward and easy to access via train, however, their flight scheduling is less flexible, offering only two flights on Friday the 5th and Monday the 8th.

I've updated the following information on the first post:

With the large amount of interstaters coming I think it's necessary for me to look into hostel bookings for everyone to jump on board, because I think housing would be tough, especially since Sydney smashers are pretty spread out. The best idea would be to stay at a Hostel around Bondi Beach area or Sydney Central since many Smashers live around there. Once I've found a place I'll post up the info for everyone so I can get an idea of numbers to prebook.

ok i checked and its ok for up to 3 people to stay at my place, keep in mind though of the above. would be great if someone with car you drives up was with us that way could drive to the venue in about an hour and a bit. (ill chip in for petrols if so)

Sydney Central YHA - it's expensive as far as hostels go, but it's better to bite the bullet and reap the benefits (as a warning, you really do get what you pay for). It keeps you within walking distance of Central Station and UTS and has great facilities.

EDIT - I encourage everyone wanting to Hostel it to book their own beds - group bookings are very difficult and is a burden for the group organiser. So please take care of yourselves as best you can. I'm still ready to offer assistance to those who need a hand with bookings.

You can book beds through this site - booking 4 beds entitles you to a whole room for your group alone, and if you book through this website you only have to pay 10% to secure the beds ~ the rest is payed upon arrival.
