Current Plans for Iowa​

I have been out of it for over 6 months, so I have no idea what the current plans for Iowa's Smash scene is.

Not all of Des Moines will be there, but the top 4 players. Good enough though.

And most of us know that the stuff the happens online doesn't carry over into real life anyway. Don't worry about it.

I am native to Iowa, but I have been dwelling in Idaho for the past several months. However, in mid-to-late August I will be returning to Iowa. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Yeah, Marion is practically inside Cedar Rapids.
After taking a better look at my calendar, it looks like I won't even be able to LEAVE Idaho until the 24th of August at the earliest, unfortunately.

We're not going to join Smashfests, considering we live roughly 2 and a half hours apart and there's no reason why we should.

I'm hoping a lot of good people go to the Fest on the 19th, because I'll be there, and I want to play people...I can't make it to Des Moines, and even if I could, I have to go to Chicago on the 12th.

Well, several Des Moines players are coming, combined with kintehr's local friends, you guys, and if EarthBowser decides to come, it looks to be a good-sized fest.

I was able to get off for both dates, so now it's just pending on a ride from..... Tim I guess, since victor is riding with him. Has David confirmed that he is going yet? I might be able to drive, but I doubt it since I think my girl has to work on the 19th.

David will be at my place on the 12th, but he hasn't asked his parents if he can go to Marion on the 19th. He will be playing kintehr at the Des Moines fest, so maybe he won't feel the need to go to Marion.

Also, Ian is the one who'll be driving.

ok guys sorry very late notice.

i've talked to victor about your smashfest, and i thought since i will not be able to make it on the 12th do to my parents job fair, i was thinking of maybe holding on the 13th a mini tourney. i still would have to talk to omaha if they'd want to come, but so far my count would be that we'd have almost 20 people participating in the tourney if everyone showed up, now it'd be like a 5 dollar buy in for it, which wouldn't be bad, regular tourney rules and such, 60% 1st
30% 2nd
10% 3rd
we could even do a doubles tourney, 5 per person or possibly just 5 per team. if we did it the pot for first if the show up would be 20, the pot would be 100 dollars, so 60 for first in singles, and if we were to do 5 per team, would be 30 dollars, and if we did 5 per person it'd be 60. please think this over, its a good oppurtunity for all of you who have not been to a tourney before, if you don't think that this is a good idea or too short of notice, i understand i'd just like to repay you all for missing the smashfest.
