Imma cheer for Minato in the PS3 tournament cuz he's a cool guy and sometimes visits me in the Utah thread. Spelt is my brony for Xbox cuz he loves the plot.
My money is on Minato to win it.

I contacted Raziek via PM as soon as the bracket update went up, but I haven't heard anything back yet.

Could you direct me to some optimal/practical combos? I would greatly appreciate it.

Army of Noels turning to an army of Makotos?!

I actually don't know anywhere that has all the combo listings. I learned all my combos from videos. What you typically find out though for Makoto's combos is that all her drives are roughly interchangeable. As such you can always modify your combo slightly for your own comfort. You might lose out on positioning yourself into the next drive however.

Assume all D attacks are level 3 unless otherwise stated.
* means delay
(66) means it's optional depending on your distance away from your opponent.

      Actually there isn't much stuff in the corner that some shifting of the Impact drives won't fix.

    Notes:
    • 214B~B dj j.D 236A~D j.D vs 214B~B dj j.D 66 236A~D 214B~D
      You can exempt the 66 for some characters: Noel, Hazama, Mu-12, Valkenhayn, Tager, Hakumen, Rachel, Taokaka, Bang, Litchi. Since without the 66, 214B~D will whiff.
    • 2D j.D vs 2D 2C 214B~B dj j.D
      The timing after the 214B~B to 66 236A~D is very strict. If you just used 2D, you can skip to j.D to allow yourself a more lenient time frame. 214B~B dj j.D does not work on Carl, Lambda, and Tsubaki. You have to use the 2D j.D route as an ender.
    • Damage enders forgoing oki options:
      After 236A~D in combos without 214A~D: 214A~D 5CC j.B 623C~D or 214A~D 236236D


  1. Eh, updated with all the combos I know. Zero has said that 4B+C 2B 6A 2D works but I dunno (probably corner? Good for counter throws I suppose). I have no idea how to link into 236236D (PF) mid combo.

So i usually make a room with darky anytime during the day (or night) during the weekdays and so just throwing this out there for those with the 360 copy. If ya want to join us for some daily training (though i personally am not too good :( ) then just send me a messege or add me and ill just send everyone i see on bbcs at the time some invites :D.

I was online earlier and noticed KoopaKlawz had a room going. Woulda dropped in for some games, but apparently being at 2/6 person capacity means the room's full.

Great pokes and normals, great mobility and amazing mixup thanks to wolf form. His strength lies in conditioning the opponent to make him helpless against mixup, while having varied options in his neutral game. The only downside to Valk is not having good HP, primers, or a meterless reversal.

His corner game does buttloads of damage too.

Characters with high mobility (Tao, Valk) will probably always be good, regardless of how many times they nerf their damage. :I

I haven't seen his damage even go up to like 4k lol.
Personally I have a hard time with valk because he's tao-spazzy-everywhere and idk what to do most of the time but i just blamed it on me being bad.
His wolf pressure is pretty choreographed.
the only thing that worries me is the command grab.

Command grab is scary. :(

I think he'll drop in the tier list, simply because no one plays him. I can only think of one notable Japanese Valk, and no American ones.

Oh, I have, and he CAN be most certainly annoying. Yeah, the wolf crossups can be pretty standard, but that doesn't make them easier to get out of when you get caught in them.

Oh give yourself some credit, it wasn't THAT bad. Yeah it was a convincing 2-0, but it's not like I double perfected you both games, lol.
Raz. Dude. You did perfect me though. Not in the games that mattered, of course, but you roflstomped me so bad when I picked Platinum I almost thought that you did it out of rage against the character. It's like, "WHAT?! LOLI? I HATE LOLIS. FFFUUUUUUUUUUU!" Then I see Hazama chuck knives with all the finesse of a dervish, which worked surprisingly well into your oki game. Platinum may as well been pinned to the floor for all it was worth.

I was so salty that smacking my lips together made them crack open and bleed. Oh, I tried D spamming with Noel, but you're just like "lol I'm Hazama and I'm still mobile after my changes. I'm just gonna kinda watch what you're doing and deeeeeee-light in your whiffing 'cause that means I'm gonna come in and **** you." Whenever I did hit you as Noel, I pressed buttons that DIDN'T WORK. I TRIED SPACING, WHICH DIDN'T WORK. I TRIED EATING A SANDWICH WHILE PLAYING, IT DIDN'T WORK. ARE YOU SEEING A PATTERN HERE? I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING.

I didn't do much better with Makoto. Matter of fact, it made me feel even worse. I WAS A TOP TIRE. I SHOULD HAVE WON. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Tires don exits, apparently. At this point I was just spamming DPs and hoping that I could catch you with a METEOR DIVE THAT LAG DIDN'T LET WORK.

aka I suck at this game and I need to get better. I only have a couple of semi-johns to sincerely utter. I definitely lagged like a mofo. I had a feeling that if I was able to function all seamless and lagless like I would have done better. Oh, you probably still would have beaten me and everything, but I would have at least shaven a game off of you. Maybe, but I dunno.

The second john was a girl john. >_> I was talking to a ladyfriend between matches at the time and she distracted me. Made the blood go to my...

Protip: almost everything Hazama does is safe, more or less. Even moreso online. Jayoku = unblockable.
