CT is still planned for PC releasesometimes in June right?
Uhh, no. The console release is in July. The PC release hasn't been announced.

Although there is supposedly an illegal port of the arcade version available for the PC out right now.

oooooo just thought. Anybody in California that plays Blaz?

Cause I quite possibly might be going there soon.

I know I could look at Dustloop, but maybe there's some players here that I'm missing.

ooo sick!!!!!

would San Fransisco be best? Cause I would have already left if I knew WHERE in California to go to. XP

I'm just assuming S.F because well, it's a big city. Yeah. But I don't want to miss out on the best players,

you know.

LA's best. Gotta friend out there, Wong plays at his arcade on occasion. The music scene is really tight with the fighting game community as well, getting into one will get you into the other, should you try.

Orange county is also a recommendation of his, as is anywhere in the valley.

Search Arcade Infinity, they do BBSC tourneys there quite often.

You'll also find some pretty notable players in there.

Infinity, huh?

Oh there it is, gotcha.

Hmmm.

Not really familiar with it. I don't really follow the American players for SF or Blaz. Just Japanese.

Regardless, I've gotta figure this out sooner then later. XP

Thanks dudez. And Skye. Or Irsinn. Whoever you are lol.

Oh wow. There sure are a lot of cities in California. Errgghh this is mind-numbing.

Maybe it's not so crazy for others, but I live in Alaska, where there is like ONE city with a decent size

where everything is concentrated in. I'm not used to all this spread-out hugeness. Woa. guess I'll have

to like scout around and check people's location on their profile? There's gotta be a better way to do

this.

I know it won't bother me when I play her, but listening to it is irritating.

Sadly, I can't really tell in the videos if she's speaking German.

How long do you guys say it would take to get somewhat decent at a character? I want to see what other characters i'm good at and i'm not really sure what to look out for.

Honestly, pick whoever suits your fancy. In terms of both looks, playstyle, and moveset. Jin, Ragna, and Noel are the easiest characters to pick up imo, but pick who you like best and roll with it. Then worry about getting better. And to keep things simple, pick one or two characters. Don't overload yourself.

In terms of getting better at the game in general, learn your defensive stuff. Barrier, instant blocking, throw-breaking and whatnot. Once you have these basic systems in place, it'll definitely help your game overall.

i had about guessing a week and a half so i guess i'm still adapting
Judging from personal experience, it's gonna take a week or two to adapt to stick, and then another week or so to become as good as you were before you switched.

I agree as well.
Yeah, Nu just doesn't feel right on a pad. I can't explain it. :ohwell:

Its the thumb. Stick let's you play with just the thumb, that's why.
Not if you have your buttons mapped like this:

B C D
A X X

Then it's all ring finger (or pinkie depending on how you hold it).

I've never played Nu (or BlazBlue in general) on stick since I got my stick, but I never had a problem before doing the basic BnBs for her. It's not hard to do 6B 5C*4 2C 6C 236 D (basic close ground BnB), 5D D 4D D 236 D (basic far ground BnB) or 6D D 2D D j.C 2C 214 D (basic Anti-Air combo) on pad, at least for me (though I did have some trouble adding a second set of j.C 2C onto the second combo). Those are all the combos you really need when playing Nu imo, the long 60 hit ones are flashy but usually impractical imo. And no, I couldn't do the infinite on Tager, but I used Arakune against him since it was so easy to land a curse on his huge hitbox anyway.

Man, I should go back and make sure I can do all these on stick lol.

If you can't get out the j.C > j.2C > dj.C > dj.2C, then you're not canceling them quickly enough. You can't let those moves finish, or the combo goes black. Or you'll just drop back to the ground.

And yeah, I agree with CRASHiC. Type B arcade setup is better than Type A, if you're playing Nu. But it all comes down to personal preference.

So yesterday I went out and bought my own copy of BlazBlue, even before I bought a PS3. Seems weird to have a game to a system you don't even own yet, but I know a good amont of my friends who have PS3s who wouldn't mind me bringing my own game to play at their house.

I hope I get a PS3 soon.

Nu is easy on any control set up, on any control device.

Realistically, you only have to worry about two buttons, the only time you'll need a or b is to barrier or Rapid Cancel.

4B is pretty terrible.

Both hits don't combo unless it's CH, only the second hit is an overhead, it's probably Nu's only move that's unsafe on block.

It only holds any merit online, because lag lols at reaction time.
In case of mixups, you're better off with TK Crescent.
It's a good mix up tool, fairly safe on block, and you can feint it for more mix ups or gimmicks.

Good to know, but I'm aware of these things about 4B already. And people still fall for it. And I do TK Crescent Sabers. :)

And according to the frame data, Nu's only move that's safe on block is 3C.

PS - I don't play online. At all.
