Dark samus was a character before she was an alt and echo fighter, daisy... was really just be princess of the land series dark pit was literally brawl pit’s edgy costume before sakurai took the kid icarus series under his wing

I'm so glad Dark Pit is back. He's actually in my top 10 characters and I prefer him over Pit. It feels especially good because everyone and their dog were expecting/wanting him to be cut. Take that, Pittoo haters!

It's a shame that there wasn't at least a couple of changes added to Dark Pit this time around. Uprising had an insane number of weapons, and having an Echo of Pit use a couple of different ones would've been a great way to represent that. Even something as simple as this could've made the two characters more distinct:

• Change Dark Pit's Forward Smash to use the Ore Club, which is a single heavier hit than Pit's Forward Smash.
• Replace Dark Pit's Guardian Orbitars with a Counter using a katana from Uprising. It mirrors Pit's reflector, but with a different purpose.
• Replace Dark Pit's Power of Flight recovery with the Wings of Icarus that Pit had in Brawl. It's more maneuverable but slower, and it represents how Dark Pit's flying isn't nearly as limited as Pit's is.

Probably the toughest change outside of animations would be remaking the Wings of Icarus recovery, but even if all of these changes were made, the two would still feel pretty similar with a shared Special moveset. They would just be more distinct and potentially develop different playstyles, just like past clones in the series.

There's already all of that stuff without it being character specific. There already is the Ore Club so maybe you meant Ogre Club?
There's also Drill Arm, Backshield, Daybreak, and Killer Eye, and Insight Staff that aren't character specific.

I think three different weapons compared to Pit's two is enough although I wish the Dark Bow arrow wasn't used since he's using the Silver Bow.

It's time to rejoice! Nairo recently went Dark Pit against Marss in Losers Quarters at Momocon 2019 this past weekend. Not only him, but ZSS, Wolf, and Robin as well. Marss may have won 3-2, but you have no idea how happy I am to see our angel boys finally get the representation that they deserve, along with Robin. Hopefully, this can attract some others to at least try to understand angles a bit more and we could even see more people pick the Pits up. The future looks a little brighter now and I can't wait for it to become the present.

Whenever I see a pro player play Pit I see a lack of combos, arrow abuse, and they just straight up lose. When was the last time you ever saw someone use dthrow to uair with the Pits?
