Plasm Wraith could return, but I doubt it. As a final boss, probably not.
As a optional side-boss, maybe. Miyamoto would most likely do an original final boss.

I would prefer a original final boss myself as the various unique creatures that inhabit PNF-404 are one of my favorite parts about the series, but I least want them to clear up why the Plasm Wraith likes Olimar so much (all three captains wonder about it themselves, but it's never resolved) and what the 'mysterious force' was that caused the SS Drake to crash.

You know what i never thought about adding another Pikmin character cause the captain's would just be clones. But i never thought of the creatures like the Plasma Wraith. That makes a lot of sense i mean if its gonna be any boss in the series this one fits the part. So sign me up as a supporter love the franchise and love what your doing here

Well, it's been a while since I've visited Smashboards. I've still been a lazy piece of protoplasm that doesn't update the thread, but uh, here ya go.

So after seeing the Direct, the Smash Ballot has me pretty excited. I'm sure tons of Ridley, K. Rool, veterans, etc. requests will be on there, and that's fantastic. But if any of you could cast a vote for the Plasm Wraith, that'd be great. I'll be casting mine whenever the site loads for me.

Also this Shaq avatar makes me feel very serious for some reason. :yeahboi:

I don't think that the Plasmwraith would be very likely but sure, why not? I'll support.
If the Pimin franchise were to get extra representation in Smash, it would be nice that instead of an explorer who might just end up being a clone/semi-clone, why not have representation for the hostile wildlife present in Pikmin which give the games so much charm? Plus, the Plasmwraith seems to be taking the spot as the closest thing the Pikmin franchise will have to a main antagonist, and his moveset could potentially be very unique, much like Olimar.
I was also thinking of having the Scornet Maestro as representation for Pikmin, but the Plasmwraith is more likely and makes more sense.

FINALLY added aerials to the OP, as well as some dope signature icons.

Also, I decided not add customs to the OP, seeing as Mewtwo was not given any.

If you guys haven't already, I ask once more for you to put in a vote for the Wraith. I'd really appreciate it. If you do happen to vote for him, I suggest including a bit of info on his fighting style. Making the Plasm Wraith sound really unique might grab Sakurai's attention.

Speaking of Twitter, after seeing Omni's Smashified K. Rool, I think it would be cool if we requested Plasm Wraith. I already left a comment on his video, so if any of you Platoon members with Twitter accounts want to tweet him, you should totally do it. If you guys don't use Twitter, then Facebook and Youtube are your other options. It's a long shot, but being Smashified would definitely help Plasm Wraith's popularity.

This moveset is REALLY good. I'm impressed. I only have one minor gripe with it. Plasm Wraith's neutral B, Needle Arm, seems more like an infinite jab with a finisher than a neutral B. As an alternative, you could have Dwarf Bulborb be the Neutral B.

It could spit out a small blob of it's own goop, which lands right in front of it, then forms into a Dwarf Bulborb, which will walk around, and if it walks near a foe, it will bite it, doing about the same damage as Bowser Jr's forward tilt. It can block attacks, and will dissolve into goop after walking around for 10 seconds. But hey, that's just an idea. I'd love for Plasm Wraith to get in anyways, and Smash is in DIRE NEED of more villains.

Also, if any of you haven't voted for the Wraith in the Ballot, I still encourage you to do so. No matter how many votes the Wraith gets, it's still quite unlikely for it to get in. But maybe the idea of the Wraith might pique Sakurai's interest, and the more votes the Wraith gets, the greater the chance of that happening.

You could also do the Snow Bulborb. And maybe even a Bulbmin.

...OK, the Bulbmin is just wishful thinking, since I'm SEVERELY disappointed Rock Pikmin and Bulbmin are not represented in any way in Olimar/Alph's moveset.

Posting in this thread, because for some reason I really want the Plasm Wraith in, even if he is sort of obscure.

Out of the 3 Final Bosses in the Pikmin games I would say he is the most prominent, though.

Assuming he'll return in Pikmin 4, I would guess he would have a role somewhat like Tatanga did in Super Mario Land 2.
That being said, since Louie got left behind at the end of the game, do you think the Plasm Wraith kidnapped him like he did Olimar?

I would definitely say that the Plasm Wraith has incentive to return in future installments.

He's one of the only bosses that doesn't die after you defeat it (inching back to the oak and regenerating before you can fully destroy it) and there are some unsolved mysteries that could easily be solved in a new installment (why does it want to care for Olimar so much? Did he cause the S.S Drake to crash at the beginning of the game? Whats his relation to the Waterwraith? They share the same name in Japan after all).

I think it's certainly possible Louie got kidnapped. I feel certain that 4's plot revolves around saving Louie back in some way so it could be the Plasm Wraith you have to fight in order to save him. Though personally I don't think he'll be the final boss again. Probably just in a Tatanga like role as you said.

Great, now we have to wait until the NX comes out to actually play it. But it would be equally as hype if Olimar's the main captain and a relative of the Plasm Wraith appears as a creature.

I still think it could be a Wii U title. After all, it is 'near completion'. I also hope Olimar is the main character again. I love Alph and his crew but Olimar will still remain my favorite character in the franchise.

(Also I'd love it if he were in Pikmin 4, which I'm fairly certain he will, with all the loose ended parts of Pikmin 3's story generally pointing in his direction...)

You might want to consider moving this thread to oni33's group with the thread closing and all. It would be such a shame if I didn't say that I support this golden creature. I mean, it is one of the scariest things in the Pikmin universe with it's intelligence and obsession with Olimar. Still better than another captain like Louie (though I'm fine with Alph being his own character)
