I prefer to play with items off too, but you all know that they can work in your favor too, right? I main DK. His FS isn't that great. Even if you get it perfect, your opponent can still dodge it on FD. Do I care? Nah. I'm confident that I'll wreck even with smashballs on.

Everybody here is still hiding behind Melee Fox, Sheik and Marth huh? No, I understand. I need to play as characters that have a distinct advantage over everybody else, too.

But I really do know how you feel. I love using old, out dated software too. I'm using Windows 95 to type this message right now.

1: We're not afraid of Smashballs (at least I'm not) ; we just like the game when it's at it's fairest i.e. no items. They can turn around a match faster than a shine-spike, and they're an unneeded factor in competitive play.
2: 'FD only' is horrible. It's not exactly the best stage either. I'd let it go if it was 'Battlefield only', but it's not. Also, not having the ability to switch characters is a stupid idea. I'm not sure where these people got the idea for the rules, but they're overall horrid.
3: I main Peach and Falco, thank you very much.

Wow, for a moderator you sure do jump to conclusions fast, hmm? I didn't come up with this ruleset at all. LOLOLOL I am in no way affiliated with PnT at all. They make the rules and hold the tournament, I'm just a competitor trying to get the word out to whoever wants to go.

So maybe we should think before typing next time, mmkay?

The Director - I like melee way more than brawl. In regards to hiding behind the best chars, I (and I can name 20 other people at least) could beat you with any of the chars in the game.

Well, if you're talking about my Smashfest, it's not going to be at WakeTech. It'll be at my house, and there will be a Brawl set up. I'll give y'all the low-down on the down-low once it's all set in stone.
There might be a tournament at WakeTech near the middle of June though.(20th? 22nd? I'll find out later tonight). Probably Brawl, I'm going either way, but might have to influence the rules so they don't end up like the tourney 'Director' was talking about.
