Ever want to see one of your fake update creations in action? Want to see what Smash Bros. would be like if the fans had the chance to create it? Well come visit The Smash Bros Mojo!

How do I get my update on the site?


We've got a new method now, just e-mail mojosub@rick-gardiner.com, make sure to include the update title in the Subject name!

How often are you updating it?

I'm not keeping any schedule or anything, basically whenever I get a great submission! If there's not much activity, I'll make an update myself and put it up (you don't want that).

Why such the weird URL?

That's my domain I have, and I didn't want to put this on any free hosting site, the ads mess up the layout badly, and it just looks crappy.

The Checklist
Make sure your E-Mail includes these:
- Title of the update
- What type of update it is
- The text of the update
- 3-6 pictures (If Character/Item/Stage/How to Play/Game Mode)
- MP3 File (If Music)
- AVI or similar file (If Video/Notice)
- Any specific date you want the update on
- Your credited name, Smash Boards name, Real Name, I don't care.
- Upload your pictures to Imageshack, or use Hotmail's uploader or whatever

Here's an example:

Hey Yartch you are so cool!!!11
Credit Name: YARTCHISCOOL!

My update is a no gravity type of game mode
Here's what it should say

Link to Picture of people floating around

In this type of Game Mode, when players jump, they never stop going up!

Link to Picture of Mario flying
Mario just can't get down!

Players will find it challenging to get good combos, and easier to get out of combos!

Link to Picture of Link dodging Bowser's attack
Run Link! Or should I say Jump!

Make sure you don't go too high though, this make you vulnerable for getting Star KO'ed!

What needs a good update?

Here are some good suggestions for updates
Re-doing Veterans
Kirby Hats (Not too many please...)
Items from other Nintendo Games
Pokemon
Nintendo song Remixes


Franchises

Try to keep it in the current franchises!
We don't want it being 100% random. REALLY random updates will just get the Smash Bros. symbol.

Adding New Franchises
I WILL accept new franchises, but only if you can show me at least 4 other updates that could be potential new ones. They won't need to be done, but I just but want to waste any space.

Adding to New Franchises
Just take it like it's a normal update. The Shoop da Whoop franchise should be treated as equally as the Mario franchise.


Mixing Updates

Old fake updates
Remember that one "Lightbulb" update? You shouldn't because it's not real, but if it was, PLEASE feel free to use it in your new update.

Unconfirmed Items or Character in the Updates
I really don't care about them. This isn't serious business at all.

Additional Rules!


Pictures

Dimensions max:
Width = 500px
Height = 400px

"Proper" Dimensions
Character profiles: At least 300 x 300
Screenshots and stages: 400 x 329
Items: Approx. 300x255

6 pictures max, 3 pictures minimum!
If you're update doesn't need any images, then you don't need to give me any.

Edited pictures are encouraged!
Even though I didn't do any for my generic 3 updates, edited pictures will REALLY increase the chances of your update going up!

Don't worry about them... but don't go overboard on purpose!

Length
Just look at Sakurai's updates, they're a good length.

Curses/1337
Curses will be ***'ed, and if the 1337 is REALLY needed, I'll keep it in.

Other

Don't worry about formatting
I'll do all the image shrinking/modifying, music/video encoding and stuff. Just send me the raw stuff!

The better updates are the clones of dojo but with changed text! Actually you made the better ones.
But if i think something im sending you.

a mojo trailer?

a trailer on the mojo would be cool, with the Bill Cosby Music, and replacing Link with the mojo link kirby and pikachu with paint pixle and ladderman! That'd be funny.

Thanks, hopefully we will see quite a few of those icons, I have an idea for a trailer but it would be hard.

this place is already starting to feel like home (except the high ranking members don't own the forums anymore ;_; ).

I still think that Cosby Bros. Brawl is the best update on Mojo. Its just so epic...... I must dine with it..............IN HELL!
