But when you substitute being fun over being good, its not such a good trade off.

And honestly, TL is garbage compared to YL. He does'nt rack up nearly as much damage as fast as YL does. His projectiles suck in comparrison. Pretty much, literally everything is worst except his killing ability. Even YL was better in the air compared to TL IMO.

YL's n-air alone was too good and awesome.
I do wish YL had TL's b-air and f-air. :|But his d-air is alright I too I guess.

Wow....Toon Link was not even in the top half of fun characters or good characters in melee.

Young Link was just useless. Projectiles weren't that useful, (and the TL boomerang does not do 6% max) his smashes were not better, his aerials were worse, his upB was worse. I can't believe you could say YL > TL in the air. TL is arguably the best air character in brawl.

This can be partially attributed to them playing in different games; the environment favors combos in melee, the flouty stuff is just brawl (and i don't like it either) but don't take it out on TL.

If you want to talk about racking up damage, I can't believe you cited falco and ganondorf. If you're talking about combos, sheik, marth, and fox destroy everyone.

I hate how there ar epeople who main Toon Link based on how good he is rather than the actual character or games he's from.

Shallow, yeah, but I just do.

That's actually the opposite of what you want to do. You should play a character based on how you like their playstyle, not on the character himself.

I would first like to say I just started playing with Toon Link and i like him. Really working on getting better with him. But I played with Link and Young Link on Melee.

The only real thing I don't like about Toon Link is his boomerang and his chain. The boomerang comes out at too sharp angles and his chain has lacks in range. His aerial attacks are some of the best in the game, his bombs have great stun, and his arrows have excellent trajectory. You don't even have to charge it long and it still has some distance.

Young Link was too much like Melee Link and Toon Link is a completely different character from Brawl Link. I want to play with Brawl Link but his recovery is garbage and Toon Link is faster. Toon Link is everything that Brawl Link wants to be.

If you don't like Toon Link's floatiness (dictionary, please?), try fast falling and short hopping his aerial attacks. "Toon Link doesn't rack up as much damage?" Brawl is a much slower game than Melee, can't compare them. If Toon Link was in Melee, he would probably be better than Young Link.

I dont like how Toon links Dair is actually spelled D.O.O.M
his dair is very good adn I like how chip say BC, when I'm original BC/alot better at melee and bc does dumb stuff in brawl/doesn't play smart.
