Thats just the ground beeing elevated alittle towards the middle and as such the shadow shifting higher abit.

xD My Catrin Ridley doesn't like tea that much....and this is what my friend wrote when I made him the question about the 3 fancy Ridleys:

Catrin Ridley, Elegant English Ridley, and Sophisticated Business Ridley?

English Ridley would offer the others tea (made from the tears of aliens whose families he'd slaughtered of course) and regale them with tales of his jolly adventures through space, lamenting his many encounters with that uncouth savage barbarian of a bounty hunter who always arrives unannounced and devoid of decorum, going on and on about how he taxed her parents to death or some such.

Sophisticated Business Ridley would accept the tea and note the recipe to turn into a franchise later. He'd comment that English Ridley's story sounds remarkably similar to his own, as his capitalistic business enterprises of mass producing bioweapons to sell to the galaxy at large were always hindered by a pesky agent from the Galactic Better Business Bureau. She has a grudge against him, after his seizing her families assets in a perfectly legal acquisition drove them to suicide.

Catrin Ridley would listen carefully to the other two but would pass on the tea for wine instead. Seeing the trouble his fellow Ridley's were in, and not having a nemesis of his own since having taken her soul long ago, offers to get rid of these two nuisances in return for their own souls. English Ridley accepts the deal immediately because he thinks Catrin Ridley looks like an upright fellow, but Business Ridley wants to see a return on the investment before concluding the deal. Catrin Ridley agrees to this in return for Business Ridley's hat.

And so agreements are made, the meeting concluded, and deals carried out, and they all lived happily ever after! ...Sort of.

Im pretty sure hes holding pikachu. Theres no way that clumb is just his foot. In the earlier frames prior to the gif pikachus outline is even easier visible.

I see no Pikachu in that shadow. Could someone show me it in a better quality, with a red outline? He grabbed Pikachu because I can clearly see Pikachu's ears dangling at the end of his arm. And before you say it, not, that wasn't Ridley's feet claws, those are more angular, and spread out. The points are too soft. Also, there were stumps to be Ridley's feet, which resemble the Conceptley anyway.

Really interesting. Also, why would Ridley be so small if he's boss/stage hazard? But I'm pretty sure he has a stage hazard. Ridley could be a character that is constantly hovering. That's why a grab would make Pikachu be off the ground. The way he hangs in that video looks so gruesome. Like a dead mouse hanging from the claws of an owl.

Or it could just be a temporary protocol for the sake of the video.

I'd like to see Ridley in the game. Saw a thread about baby Ridley, that could be one way to solve it. But I still want them to add one huge character like this. There has to be some limit but I love how the characters in Smash can be SO different. Ridley would add to that variety. Also, still only one Metroid rep.

• I don't expect a character reveal
• If there is however, I expect Bowser Jr. Not any of the clones or DHD.
• Hopefully they don't show off Wii U footage, then Stage Hazardly might actually appear

This was amazing. I remember when everyone jumped on the bandwagon and wanted it to be real because there was an extra slot for Ridley, but when the Ridley model was revealed everyone was like "OH GOD PLEASE NO DON'T BE REAL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD."

Still the best "leak" this site had. Interesting social experiment it was.

I have just one question: When do we know for sure he is not a playable character? I mean if he is not a playable charcter then there will be no ridley in the 3ds at all.
So when are we all goning to agree that he is definitely not a playable character?

When the lock on the All-Star icon disappears, then it will be definite. Or we randomly unlock his trophy first. Whichever comes first.

You know, if Ridley is in, it'll be weird seeing him labeled as a "Newcomer". He doesn't feel anything like a newcomer. He feels like a veteran, even if he's never been playable in Smash before.

On the contrary, although there are other bosses in Smash Bros that can grab (Master Hand), the difference between Ridley and Master Hand is that when Master Hand grabs opponents, he immediately starts attacking the player. However, if Ridley did grabbed Pikachu, him compared to MH did not attacked Pikachu as soon as he grabbed him. In fact, Ridley didn't do anything while he held Pikachu. The only characters in Smash Bros. that can grab opponents and not attack them are playable characters. (Unless I'm mistaken) So if Ridley did indeed grabbed Pikachu, the fact he did nothing for such a amount of time without doing anything to Pikachu, inclines me to say that Ridley was doing something only a playable character would do.

That's because people (particularly the Gematsu leakers) kept saying "Shulk is the newcomer on Monday, so get ready" and everyone who believed in them went berserk, thinking he was a shoe-in to appear. What we're doing isn't anything that much different, mind you. But the last time someone said "I doubt they'll reveal character in this direct, so stop false hyping" *Cough JP 3DS Direct Cough*, Shulk appeared. Just because the odds of a character reveal might not be clear, we need to stop thinking "It won't happen", cuz would like to have a word with you.

If you're talking about the amount of new pages, same old + some off topic leak talk + fake leaks.

If you're talking about the site acting up, then one; the site shut down last night to do some maintenance for the upcoming Smash release (which imo, they didn't do a good job *cough crashboards cough*, and two; the possibility of some JP Smash Bros information might get leaked very soon and we're tense at the moment.

Other then that, everything's just y.

Also, just because PAX or Comic-Con didn't reveal anything, FYI, this is a new day, and a new time to do something different. Talk like that (happened once, happen again) is like saying Ridley will be a boss again. So stop thinking "nothing will happen" cause we're not sure about that yet.

There isn't any evidence, and if there is a reveal, I don't expect a Ridley reveal. I still HIGHLY doubt we'd get a Bowser Jr. reveal, though. Granted, I do think we ARE going to get one more trailer (Sakurai never said Shulk was the final trailer, but did say at Robin's reveal they were nearing the end of trailers), I just don't think it will be Friday. If anything it'd probably be Monday right after launch. That's when I'd think Ridley, K. Rool, Mewtwo, or whoever else could potentially be announced if they are announced. K. Rool or Ridley I think is more likely, though, because they'd announce a newcomer. Mewtwo could be announced alongside one of them, though.

The tree house is the last big Nintendo hosted event before the Japanese release of Smash Bros., and don't you not find it the slightest bit odd they'd do it right before the Japanese release not the Western? Pretty sure they also said the Smash Bros. part will be at the end, likely so it doesn't overshadow the other news.

But if anyone has a better reason why it wouldn't make sense (not just once bitten twice shy), I'm all ears..well eyes.

Only thing I can think of is that NoA are doing this because they're aware we would just find out ourselves anyway through people with the Japanese version, so they might as well show us the final build themselves, I'd be very surprised if we get no reveal at all. Comic-Con and PAX aren't normally Nintendo events, so not having reveals then was kind of expected, but this is a Nintendo hosted event about the FINAL BUILD. What am I missing?

So, with SSB4 coming this weekend I figured I should make one last post before the inevitable thread lock.

Y'know, with how long I have been on this thread, I really never got to introduce myself and tell my reasons for wanting Ridley and how I came here.

So I will do just that.

Anyways:

My experience with Ridley to be blunt with you all. Before I EVEN came here, I never even cared for Ridley, as I was just someone who really didn't care for him or was against him. I mean I DID know a bit that he was rather wanted, but I was just neutral on him at the time.

THAT IS until one faithful day.............

It was a few days after the April direct, it was a normal day when I (get ready cause I'm about to tell you the most honest to god dumbest way I stumbled upon this thread) was googling SSB4 leaks just for whatever reason really.

I don't remember which pic got me here, but man what had happened still makes me scratch my head to this very day honestly, what I think has been 5-6 months of me being on mostly this website MOST OF THE TIME JUST WATCHING THIS THREAD! it really astounds me to how much I genuinely loved watching this thread, from the astounding amount of intelligent arguments, to the many laughs you guys gave me, TO THE INCREDIBLE ARTWORK SOME OF YOU GUYS HAVE DONE! (Namely Schalternate smilingmad and mostly AndreaAC)

seriously though: NEVER have I seen this much dedication and passion into one JUST ONE CHARACTER! and these past couple truly made me MUCH more interested in the character than I even thought honestly.

HOWEVER, I will admit though, I do regret not posting that much truthfully (by the time I have posted this, this is 60th post on this whole thread........... YEAH, TELLS YA HOW MUCH OF A LAZY ASS PIRATE I WAS! ) idk, maybe its because I was rather shy or maybe its because I have a lot less knowledge of Metroid compared to most of you.

And really that's KINDA a big regret I have with my time speculating SM4SH. I really never did anything other than make some rather make some silly posts honestly (some I admit are pretty funny, some I'm not really proud of)

And still, there are some stuff I do regret: like never thanking Phaazoid for welcoming me (which BTW thanks mate)

Because Ridley, honestly, COULD be announced at any time. We have no idea. Its not the same as during the behind-closed-doors event where people were freaking out over nothing, this is just a few people commenting on when he could be announced.

A freaking picture of Ridley explaining who he is, what he does, and the fact he's a bloody stage boss!

But no, the big N has me kindling false hope as I bite my nails that maybe I can punch my middle school bullies with Ridley in the face, when I could just as easily be excited for Bowser not sucking, or Greninja being in, or Charizard not being attached to two Pokemon I don't care about, or the fact that Larry Koopa may be an alt for Bowser Jr, thus invalidating over 49 other characters!

Ha, no problem man. We've all appreciated your presence, I assure you your regrets have a lot less impact then you may think. First off, I try to welcome all the newcomers here (If I'm around when they make their first post), and it's maybe less than half that acknowledge it. I could tell you were shy from the outset (you've mentioned it before) so I'm not miffed or anything

Secondly, not having a high post count here is not a crime in the slightest, lol. In fact, having a high post count is what's gonne get this thread locked, lol. I'm probably one of the bigger offenders, having close to 2000 posts in this thread, haha. But you've definitely been present, which doesn't require being talkative, and it's been noticed and appreciated. It just means you have a lot higher ratio of quality per post than most others here xD. You shouldn't worry so much about the quality of your posts, either. Just say what's on your mind. These may be archived but rarely are they gone back and read. I mean, tjhat's what I do at least, lol.

Anyways, don't treat this as an end, but a new beginning. I hope to see all you guys active in the Ridley subforum when he's finally revealed, being active and awesome as always.
