This might be my final post here (excluding my "RIDLEY'S CONFIRMED!" post), so I'll just leave off with a few words.

Thank you everyone for this special time in my life. I never thought I would take part in such a amazing experience I got out of this thread. And to everyone I met here (personal shoutouts to the great and talented artists here; @ AndreaAC , @BaganSmashBros, @SchAlternate, @SmilingMad, @Wintropy, and to the ones I didn't mention, don't worry you guys are awesome too!), male or female, young or old, supporters, even detractors, I love every single one of you. It was a blast.

If I could make a suggestion; everyone here should friend everyone you know here so we can all stay in touch, even after Ridley's fate is revealed. You guys are awesome people who I personally would love to meet in person, if I ever got the chance to.

And with that, my "final" words.

Hey everyone! I joined a few days ago and meant to post in here first thing but got side tracked, so here is my first post.
Wanted to get in here before his fate is revealed and say that I support Ridley. I have been lurking here since about the time Little Mac was revealed and I have loved every second of it.
Here's to Ridley!

and is on her way to her spaceship. Everything went according to plan and seems like mission accomplished. Only a few steps from her spaceship, but then, it happened. Once thought to have been vanquished for good and she would have never thought would come to the place known as Smash Bros, he appears before her, chasing what appears to be her mouse friend she knew from before. She assist in what seems to be the final showdown. Will this be the moment that ends it all?

Since we are approaching the end, I felt it would be appropriate to share my latest post on Miiverse. I made it with humor in mind, but also to persuade people from loosing hope on their favorite characters. I have not lost mine, as Ridley will always have a deserving placement in Smash, be it in this installment or one down the road.

It's been a pleasure being here, and I never thought I could find such a wonderful group of people. The fact that you're all Smash fans is merely icing on the cake. I look forward to seeing you all again on Ridley's official character discussion thread. If not, happy Smashing. I look forward to advocating for Ridley's inclusion in SSB5, perhaps after a period of time in which Metroid has only grown in popularity.

Well, I don't see what the huge concern is about reaching 2000 before Friday/Saturday. We're barely scratching 1.9k and we have only 3 days left. At this rather jaunty pace, we should make it. Unless the almighty tears of God leak upon us a credible picture/video of Ridley, then I think we should be fine.

That being said, RIP Lizardon and Roxxas. It's been fun. Now, the real question is: what sort of stupid outfits would Ridley look absolutely hilarious in?

Well, I didn't post here much. I joined the thread late in it's life, and I wanted to conserve posts. But I do just want to say that you guys are incredible. After the April Direct, most of my depression came back, because I really wanted Ridley, and April was just tough in general for me. When I finally found this thread, you guys gave me hope, and also made me realize that not everyone on the internet is a jerk. @ AndreaAC , your art is awesome, and so is everyone else's. I probably won't post again, unless a reply demands it. I am much more sure that Ridley is in now, so thank you guys!

While I'm here, actually, I have something to say. Some of you may remember my post a while ago about why I really want Ridley, about my dead brother and my terminal illness. Now I know this is a terrible reason to think a character will be playable, but Here it is. I haven't been posting here recently because not long ago I was in the hospital, and I was to the point where the doctors were just "making me comfortable". I was sure my time was coming any day. One night I decided to say my goodbyes because I didn't think I would wake up after I went to sleep, and I remember the last thing I thought before I fell asleep was how I would never get to see If Ridley was in smash. Then I did wake up the next morning and I was fine. Not just alive, but healthy. No Pemphigus, no infection, nothing. After that, I just feel more optomistic about everything. It doesn't really make sense for this to affect what I think of his chances, but it does. I'm sure Ridley will be in it now, and I really hate to see so much pessimism here. We've held together this long, so let's finish strong. We'll know in a few days, so keep the pesimism away until we know for sure. I think in a few days we'll all be celebrating in the Ridley official character disscusion thread. And if not, I can finally hope for smash 5 with you all because of my miraculous recovery. Here's hoping We don't have to wait till then though!

I am dead set on Ridley's appearance in Smash 4. All the evidence, all the teasing, and now a miraculous recovery from a terminal illness. I mean, it's destiny we're talking about now.

You'd think that after submitting more than 20 pieces of art to this thread people would remember me but that's how the ball rolls. No thanks at all, but then again nobody remembers me, either here or IRL. Good ol' Crocovile, always gets ignored. Just because I don't colour my art it gets forgotten, grumble grumble...

They're gonna lock it a bit before that, like at 1930 or something, because if it gets close to 2000 the whole boards can get buggy. This thread is basically a supervolcano.

Also, I'd totally do some sort of massive callout or epitaph for the thread, but I have all of the homework right now, and I'm trying to get rid of it all before Friday so I can focus my weekend entirely on Smash. Also, it might take hours to list all the people I'd wanna call out. Also, I'm bad with speeches.

well, my fellow space pirates, it was a fun ride and i will continue to enjoy it for the final few days. it was great being a part of this thread even though i didnt comment much on it and it was great to see so many ridley supporters like myself. he likely has more support than any other requested character and deserves it as well (if only i could say the majority of detractors were logical, but i can't.) let us all support our glorious commander til the end where our hopes and dreams come true.

Because the end of this thread and (hopefully) the confirmation of the playability of our glorious leader is near, I want to thank you all for what you did with this awesome thread.
Your an awesome fanbase and I'm glad to have posted many of the few posts that I made on this thread. Just for the love and the support that you give him, Ridley need too be playable. The fact that we are all praising and nearly worshipping the ruthless, cunning, evil and brutal leader of a group of space terrorist is just awesome to me.


@ AndreaAC , @BaganSmashBros, @SchAlternate, @SmilingMad, @Wintropy and all the other artists that I forget (sorry) I just want to say that you're all very talented!

Thank you so much guys! I really wished I could have developed more as a digital artist, but fear got the best of me...but I'm glad that you guys liked my traditional (silly) drawings of Ridley (Maybe in the future I will be able to get at the level of some of the awesome digital artist here.). I had so much fun showing them since I joined the forums, and then again, thanks to this thread and you people, I got my best concepts involving Ridley, they were so much fun to make and those concepts even changed myself and helped me to see the bright side of things (The greatest example, as always, the interactions between Ridley and Roidley.)

Thank you again for being so supportive to me, in the bad and good moments in this forum! It was one of the greatest honors being part of this thread and have meet all of you!

Don't say "see you in the Official Character thread" when there's no guarantee it'll happen. What you should say is "Well I'll HOPEFULLY see you guys in the Official Ridley Character Thread."

In all honesty, if things go sour for Ridley, Sakurai is horrible in his marketing department. I'm still confident in Ridley's inclusion, but beware that it may not turn out the best. Let's just keep our heads up high. I'll be back to comment (if I can) if Ridley gets revealed, otherwise, this is it, guys. Hopefully we'll see that Ridley Character Forum popup within the next week or so.

Once again, it brings a smile to my face seeing your guys' tenacity on these boards. I mean this thread trumps all others by 4x as much as the next biggest character thread (to my knowledge). I just wanted to post one more thing before the reveal, essentially my reaction to Ridley's inclusion. Mind you I won't post it directly here (goes against the language rule here, and I don't wanna break that rule), but it's a simple and epic way once Ridley's playability is shone up on us.

S'okay. Didn't forget you, and I'm not on anyone's posted special list either, though I did share a little Ridley art of my own during the point I had both the time and inspiration for it. Was mostly my inspiration that faded after the April direct though when a lot of people's hearts sank like the Titanic. :u

And honestly, I find the lot of these recent "This will/might be my last post here before confirmation/deconfirmation day" or "goodbye" posts kind of unnecessary and dramatic. Are they supposed to make me feel better for what is to come soon? Because it doesn't.

That said too, can't stress enough how much we need to slow down with the rating of posting here; like only post when it's absolutely necessary to delay reaching the max page limit (whatever it is).

Since evryone seems to be posting long and drawn out sentiments of human will, including our once morbidly sick friend who has earned a spot at the pimp table directly to the right of the Ogrelord's throne, I think I shall speak of my expressions and feelings.

So back when I was a tiny slithering eldritch monstrosity, me and my older brother would play SSBM pretty much every spare second of time we got, in between Mario Kart double dash. While I was frustrated by the fact that he was 'that guy' who read up on game mechanics and single handedly 0-5'd me as Fox versus Bowser at Final Destination, no items, the fact that the opening sequence showcased this weird purple dragon thing. So I was like, 'I bet he's going to be in!'

And then we unlocked Roy and the game was like 'Haha, you knobbers, you got everyone!' and I was left bitterly playing Bowser and Yoshi as I continued to get my ass pounded into the pavement. Fast foward a few years, lo and behold, SSBB was showcased. I was like "Hell yeah!" as I ecstatically watched the trailer showcasing Meta Knight and all the characters I didn't particularly care about. This time I was like 'That Ridley dude's going to be in now!'

And then I actually got the game, played through SSE, and then got wrecked by the fact Ridley was a boss. I mean, at least he's in the game, dumb little me said. So we unlocked all the dudes, played more, I continued to get my ass handed to me, etc...

Until the shining beacon of SSB4 reared its gorgeous, HD face! I looked at it, and was like 'Damn it all if Ridley isn't in this time!' Because before this moment, I had watched my Brother play Prime 3, and the Ridley battles caught my attention. And then you beat Meta-Ridley, and my bro was like 'he's dead.' And I bit my tongue until you fight Omega Ridley, and was like 'ha! Ridley's alive!' And then he 'died' again and my brother said he was permanently dead....then Other M came out with its trailers, noticed Ridley, and was like 'Ha! He's not dead!'

So then I happily rooted for Ridley while watching pictures of Luigi's nose, and then the Direct came. I saw Ridley, and was like, damnit, Ridley deconfirmed. Then my short attention span saw Greninja and Charizard, and that got me happier than a wolf in a bacon factory. With my brother now in college, meaning I had no one to talk smash with, I decided, 'hey, let's join Smashboards!'

So I signed up, had my Hastur the unspeakable icon goin', and tallyho I found the Ridley thread. Like some kind of giant cavernous maw, I was consumed into it, and the spark of Ridley hope was reignited! I thought to myself, hey, there's still a chance! I sat, watching this thread in every moment I was bored. Even when I was taking driver's Ed during E3, I groaned to myself as Palutena got confirmed outside in the sun during lunch. It kind of sucked. And in these final hours, I smile to myself, thinking 'What a jolly waste of time this was!'

So basically my reason for wanting Ridley is, when you boil it down, he's a dragon. Dragons are cool. And in that regard, this thread has shown me that Ridley is cool, not just because he's a dragon, but he's a space-dragon-pirate! I'll save my regards when we're closing in on the final pages. Let's all continue rooting for a purple dragon!

While I haven't posted much here, I felt the energy and strength of our army come together to bring the hype of Ridley to many places. If Ridley is confirmed, then we all celebrate and praise Sakurai for this lovely moment, if not, then...I donno. Maybe I won't come back to the Ridley topics anymore. I think if he doesn't make it in this game, he'll never be playable, that's just my opinion. But hopefully he'll be playable. Believe everyone.
