Why do you play as Snake?: When I played Melee, I used to main as Captain Falcon (pink costume, CFAB, son). My playstyle was being aggressive and out-running the opponent, racking up damage with grabs and always ending with a spike or THE KNEE. Good times those were.
Then Brawl came out, and due to the engine change, I could not stand playing as him anymore, plus finding out how horrible he had become was the final nail in the coffin. I watched a few YouTube videos of early Snake players (such as Psycho ******) and noticed how they would completely dominate the field, and his amazing moves (the first time I saw the F-Smash KO someone I almost fell out of my seat). Finding out about the Mortar-Slide was ultimately what turned me on to playing as Snake.
It was difficult playing him at first, he was much slower than Captain Falcon and had a different playstyle to him. When I finally got a Wii in November (I was playing Brawl by bumming off of people during Game Club at High School), I decided to get serious. It took a while to learn the timing of every single move and the range of his hitboxes (which are massive and another great reason to play as Snake), but I got it down with the help of these boards.
It is unfortune that I do not know of many other WA players who play Brawl (I'm trying to find more, Gameclucks seems to be the big place), and I am trying to find a scene again, which I have not participated in since Melee, 2007. I would love to see how my Snake fares against other players BESIDES always beating people at my High School
tl;dr version: Snake is more manly that Captain Falcon in Brawl and dominates the playfield.

Why do you play as Snake?: I originally wanted to main Poketrainer (I still want to, but snake is was somehow easier to pick up), also, I heard snake was in brawl shortly after I completed MGS3, so yeah, I knew I was gonna play some rounds with Snake.

Why do you play as Snake?: I have no main. I'm also pretty bad as snake I think, he's probably my third or fourth best character actually, but he's my favorite. my other best characters are lucario and meta knight, neither of which are from games that I care that much about(although KSS is the bomb! and so is metaknightmare ultra in KSSU). aside from being a fan of metal gear I also love snake's playstyle for the most part, so much crazy stuff you can do with his various explosives. matchup strength is also great, the only character I really dread is DDD although diddy has also been a massive pain in my *** as of late.
