multiversus lives rent free in my head for all the wrong reasons and I hate that. I wish I could either get it out f there or make it live there for the right reasons but both seam equally impossible.

They say "I'm a girl" in all languages, they only say "I'm a boy" at the start of the arcade mode and in Japanese it's specifically the feminine word for it

Yeah she just says "I'm a boy" after the first fight and then decides she's a girl at the end of arcade mode.
I think you might have gotten mixed up over the chapter being called Stage 1 ending?

I'm gonna play devils advocate here, as far as i understand it, this character was forced to grow up as a girl due to superstitions in their homewotn about having two boys in the family.
So being a crossdresser was forced on to them for most of their live, if they want to be either a boy or a girl that much is up to them but knowing that part of their backstory...

Being a girl feels a little... iffy. To be honest.

I still say Arms 2 is defo gonna go the route of certain other fighting game series and shift the main character to Min Min after this, maybe even a new one each game if it turns into a real franchise.
