Regarding Splatoon 3, content updates have ended. Seasonal Splatfests (such as Halloween and Winter), Big Runs, and Eggstra Work events will continue to be held.

There may also be balance patches on an "irregular" basis.

I wish I have participated in those previous splatfests, but I've been so busy irl that I couldn't use my switch often. All the time I had for was PC when possible.

I'm trying out a Metroid ROM hack for NES and it's one of the most visually pleasing games I've seen for the system.

I know people hold that mentality but I find it really dumb.

They should get it out of the way so parents know to hold off or not on getting their kids switched for the holiday or not.

Also if they drop the price for the current models it will increase the sales most likely. Why buy one switch 2, when you could buy both your kids a switch lite for that same price.

Similar things like that will encourage a decent part of the buyer base and still let them make money off of the old gen, while hyping the new one.

I also think that 7 years in they probably don’t care about the sales of the old console at this point.

Kinda weird how it goes blind only to just get it's sight again immediately

I feel like Sliggoo has a bad case of middle stage syndrome. Both Goomy and Goodra are a lot cuter. Its design is also kind of weird. It doesn't look like a dragon yet but its got a long neck like one. It also has a protrusion on its back that looks like a snail shell, but isn't actually a shell?

I don't really like Sliggoo, but I think it's strangely memorable despite that.

It’s not a warning.

The bottom line is the hardcore fans are buying it day, they already have multiple switches and want the new one.

Then a majority will wait for the holidays next year

Everyone severely underestimates the population of parents and casual gamers who are totally cool with the waiting to buy the new consoles and will be the last generation instead.

They will make money regardless and if they thought the markets overlapped, they wouldn’t be dropping several different switch bundles this year instead of the usual like one around this time. They seem pretty satisfied imo and know both sides will sell this year regardless.

So getting their new console that’s going to make the PS5 pro look like a home, because there will be an actual difference compared to switch would be smart. Especially at the world’s largest gaming expo for Japanese companies. Where all the eyes can be on them and they can have physical demos.

Last time, they showed off the Switch in like October and released it a few months later right? If the leaks/rumors of it being 2025 is true, than I think they COULD repeat that.

Pretty much the same reason why half of the PS5's killer apps are also on PS4. Not everyone can jump right away into a new system(I'm not planning on getting it right away, for example). The people who want the "NEW THING RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW!" will do so in nearly any situation. However plenty of people will hold over until a game they really want or the cash they need to save up, but can afford to make a smaller investment in place of that. Some people bought PS3's before the PS4 dropped, for example. Switch is a mad popular system, despite what graphics whores will bemoan about. So how many people who will benefit from that still, since the current install base is large enough that realistically, most people who want a Switch will have one.

And IF Nintendo's Smart, they'll have a price cut for the OG Switch so that the Switch 2 or whatever can have its sales supplemented by people who want a discounted system. Granted, Sony's currently being dumb by NOT price cutting the PS5 in place of the PS5 Pro now being a laughably expensive product with little going for it for the people who actually play games.

Did a bunch of fighting game alt colors for my Gohan drawing. Here's the first half of them. The link's below if you want to see all 4 of that first half. And a cropped version is here right away. Obviously, this color's mostly based on his Younger self/Early Buu Saga gi. Though it's only really the games that makes the Buu Saga version Purple like Kid Gohan's. In the show it looked more Blue-ish, IMO. Though he wears purple in Superhero again so it's cool.

I'm gonna try and get more original art done soon. I think I have an idea that I'll be happy with.
