$18 for a outfit that adds zero gameplay benefit? No thanks.
what worries me the most is that as the life of the game goes on, our mains will major buffs, nerfs and reworks. They did this so many times in OverWatch and it made many of my characters super not fun to play.
Another thing to be on watch for is the longevity of Marvel games+netease. They are notorious for dumping games (ending support and closing them down) in under 2-3 years.
You can still earn them for free. A but much sure, but if you want the cooler skins of Fortnite it’s about $23.
Or a more horrible example, Multiversus is charging $30 for skins right now that are elusive rarity( meaning they never return) and dropped 6 of them this event. You get one for free.
So I’ll take that monetization any day, considering it’s still able to be gotten free.
As for marvels other games, they died off because they bad tbh.
I say this as someone who paid $80 for the avengers game. It was pretty disappointing. Snap seems to be suffering from the same anti consumer support and nothing to really do. Which seems to be the issues marvel has with their other failed projects.
Something that Rivals seems to be ahead of the curve on and is already better situated because it’s a game with more replay ability then other projects marvel has done.
But we shall see how it pans out.
