I’ll only be able to get one since I’m currently living with my parents. But I hope hope hope they do a bundle with DKB just to make that go down easier.
Also I hope the price doesn’t go up too much now that the tariffs are actually in effect.

SC2 is easier to get into for a fighting game. It's more so mastering that would tricky. But if me at 7 years old can do single player in that game just, fine, I think the kids are safe. It's probably one of those games I'd more easily suggest to Non-Fighting game fans, even if I like Tekken 5 more if we're going by same gen fighters.
F-Zero GX will twist your testicles or ovaries, though. But unlike Ghost N Goblins, it isn't CBT the entire time you're playing.

Afford it, technically no.
But If it keeps the same price and I finish the few games I have to still…. I’ll trade those in and my base switch (maybe my OLED as well, but then I don’t know if I’d be able to transfer my data over) to GameStop and with their promotion and the money I have from my pay check, I should hopefully be able to afford it at launch.
But if they raise these prices then I probably won’t be getting one anytime soon.

I mean, maybe. But no matter the financial situation, I NEVER get consoles at launch. I usually wait at least a year. I'm willing to be a cheapskate now more than ever.
Even if the games weren't super pricey, I'd probably still wait that long anyway.

I have heard that SC2 is one of those fighting games where you can just press buttons and look cool anyway. Definitely want to get around to trying it someday.
And yeah, you'll be having a good run on GX and then the game violently reminds you that it was made on the Monkey Ball engine.

i would be that way if it weren’t for the donkey Kong of it all. Even if I’m not super jazzed about the direction I still gotta play it. Although if there are problems with scalpers like there were for the series x and ps5 I might be able to put it off for a while. Or maybe I can just put it off through sheer force of will idk.

I was also saving so I should be able to afford it, well, in a way. but My main problem is I hate spending money and seeing my bank account do down. Makes me feel guilty. And if the price stays the same, Ill feel even MORE guilty so emotionaly, i wouldnt be able to afford it

Might as well try to gain the will power, since like you said, you still feel very mixed about Nintendo doing an in-house DK title. Waiting could give you the knowledge of whether to skip it outright or not.
Then again I wanted a 3DS later on for Legends 3, and when that didn't happen, I waited anyway for Smash mostly. Then some Pokemon titles, Mega Man Legacy Collection and Samus Returns. Got some other games for it down the line, including retro titles.

Same with Persona 5 to a lesser extent, In the PC port and other consoles where they had to change Ryuji’s shoes (also in Smash when he was a spirit) and change the symbol for the almighty skills because of the Rising Sun Flag.
Same with the Raidou DLC costumes being removed.
It was the case in the PlayStation versions for South Korea and China but the changes happened in all regions when it got ported to PC and other consoles.

I know the feeling. But if you don’t spend money recklessly then there’s nothing wrong with splurging a little every once in a while on something nice for yourself. Game console or otherwise.

What the hell is going on over there, since when did Kamen Rider become OU again
Here in the Netherlands, we get bigger paycheck in May to fund vacations with, so much so that it's pretty much double wages for the month and as someone who doesn't really travel much, the idea to me was to use that unless I stumble on a preorder, otherwise, take some money out of my savings and put the vacation money in my savings
I can afford one but it would be best if I hit the breaks on most of my splurging first.
So far I managed to commit to only buying a few figures this month so maybe this will be what gets me to actually save money

I waited to get a Wii U until it had enough games on it that I actually wanted to play. Then the week I bought it they announced the switch. Which would eventually get every game I had bought for my Wii U except Smash 4 (kinda) and Splatoon 1. Idk if I should even bother waiting since the greater hardware power will just upgrade my existing switch library. That’s the same reason I didn’t bother waiting until the series x had games in it I wanted since I knew it would make all of my Xbox one games and a good chunk of my 360 games just run better and play better. Of course Microsoft didn’t charge for better frame rates on older backwards compatible titles.
I guess we’ll see. See how I’m doing financially in July, see if DKB can win me over, see what might change in that time regarding like… everything. All we can say is “we’ll see”.

There's already an economic crisis going on in my country with weak currency making gaming much more expensive and now, it's going to be even worse. I wouldn't be surprised if Switch 2 costs an entire monthly minimum wage at launch.

I’m privileged enough to have been able to save more than enough money for one over the last couple of months, so even if the price increases I should be able to afford it. Maybe I won’t be able to get things like controllers, an SD card, or games, but I can afford the console/console bundle itself. I figure this is the last big tech purchase I’ll be making for a good long while, so best to just get it out of the way and not have to worry about it.
…assuming I can get my hands on it, but I’m confident about that too. I got a PS5 in 2020 during the semi-conductor shortage so I know the unique kind of obsession you need for a highly competitive purchase like this and I’m confident I make it through just like I did back then when US pre-orders start again.

It's been like this for a while, but the threshold has been crossed, I basically cannot use my Switch in handheld mode anymore, the right Joy-con just won't stay connected for very long, even the slightest nudge will disconnect it. And every other pair I own has bad drift.
In that regard the Switch 2 actually has impeccable timing.
