I tend to take large breaks between playing it after playing it for a few weeks to about two or three months or so, but I'm still a big fan of the game and have been for a long time.

Heck, Minecraft is where I first used and thought of the "KingofPhantoms" username lmao. And that was years before the first ever Mob Vote.

If you’re holding off, wait until the summer update where you can raise your own Ghast and have a personal flying air fortress.

The new caves, dungeons, and QoL features make the early-mid game pretty fresh. It’s not quite nostalgia, but in these stressful times I enjoy the peacefulness of vanilla survival.

edit: Thinking on it now, the new Pale Garden and Dungeons from this year are more late game content tbh. You need to be adequately prepared before dealing with that stuff.

I play it with my nephew whenever he comes down since he's absolutely obsessed with the game.

PS5 version tho, so I'm not sure how far behind it is compared to PC and whatnot.

Believe it or not, Bedrock (pretty much any version of the game that's on a console that's still getting support) actually has features that are unique to it and some of it's Minecraft early development preview versions (AKA Snapshots) are available earlier on Bedrock than they are on PC.

So technically speaking, it's probably ahead of PC Minecraft in all ways except the melee combat system.

I am curious if the prices were hiked up already because of the tariffs being a possibility or if they are just as arrogant as Sony is whenever they got a good thing going. I'm assuming the latter. Cause if ** costs even more, than how the ** do they expect to actually sell copies.



There's been a history of Racist Whites hurting themselves so long as minorities don't benefit from something. It's something Trump's whole campaign worked off of. And of course we also see the effects of self-loathing or "I'm better than they are" minorities in the US as well, hence a like a third of Hispanics voting for him too, despite the clear distain he and his followers has for all of us. The closest thing to honest they've been about this was saying "It's gonna hurt!" But with an equally vague, "It'll get better bro, I promise!" I dunno, I hate talking politics, but **** man, things are rough.

Not to mention how this could effect the job market as a whole within the states in and of itself.

My personal guess: they tried to avoid listing price until now because of potential tariffs that were already in place, so they were already in consideration and thus the answer is on former. However they did not anticipate a tariff on Vietnam which is where Nintendo things are manufactured, which makes things all the more worse. Keep in mind that with the tariffs hitting Asia where products for consoles are made, most gaming related things will become more expensive, that means people who play Playstation or Xbox will also be impacted by tariffs. PS5 Pro legit could get to 1000$+...

In general having the market be uncertain all because of tariffs is a really really bad thing. It's not good for Nintendo. It's not good for Sony. It's NOT GOOD FOR Microsoft. Basically with everything being more expensive... It's possible that gaming industry could collapse or have a recession.

This was the first ever song that I heard play in Minecraft, and I think it captures both the game's peaceful elements as well as it's some of it's more dangerous and mysterious ones in one track:

I can't remember if it played on my original singleplayer survival world or on my friend server, but at the time I didn't even know that Minecraft had music at all before the track randomly played, so hearing the notes slowly start up and play came as a surprise.

Hearing this song for the first time was when I knew Minecraft was a game unlike any other that I had played before. And that it was going to be a truly special one.

I'm surprised the Minecraft movie is getting as 'good' reviews as it is.

They're not 'good' in the sense of like, highly rated, but a 51% on Rotten Tomatos is way higher than I expected.

The movie is very accurate to actual Minecraft outside of the human characters. Like in the Sonic movies and Detective Pikachu, the humans are always the worst part.

I think that would work in a Metroid that's explicitly more action-packed even compared to the normal titles. Or at the very least, for a Metroid game where Samus is in a planet populated with more intelligent life. Most games give her very few people to interact with. That's how I think you could contextualize side missions for hunting unique enemies.

Speaking of the new Minecraft content, I’m really excited for the Happy Ghast! The Ghast is one of my favorite mobs, so getting a friendly, pseudo-tamed version of it you can ride around is really cool. It and the Ghastling are also really cute! I hope someday there’ll be a way to keep the Ghastling from aging, too, so I could keep one as a pet while its older sibling is parked outside my house

At first, I didn’t like how you could craft the Dried Ghast, but after realizing Ghast tears are basically soul essence that could magically transform bones, it grew on me. I still dislike how it can be auto-farmed though, plus it seems to somewhat defeat the point of finding one naturally (though it does seem like that’d be relatively easier to do, at least in a newer world).

The Vibrant Visuals stuff they’re working on is also really cool, though I really dislike the new clouds which don’t seem exclusive to it. They don’t fit Minecraft near as well as the current clouds do imo, feeling stretched out and kinda weird somehow, and they seem to lack the sparse areas with some smaller clouds dotted around too, being crowded with little empty space in comparison to the current clouds.

Feels like an unnecessary change made for the worse, I don’t get it, but it is just videogame clouds at the end of the day lol and they’re not necessarily “bad” anyway, even if I don’t like them. I guess I can also just use a resource pack to revert them.

In lighter news, Alpharad and his team have made a new Pokémon ROM Hack. His Twitch chat beat the game in under 48 hours and it is now publicly available.

It is an Emerald Rom hack set completely in the world of Mario. All Pokemon are replaced with Mario characters, alongside custom music, QOL features, all new tiles sets, and much more.

Looks like a really great rom hack worth playing if you’re a fan of Mario and Pokemon.

Definitely playing it this coming week, I saw it and it looks really fun!

I think that website might not be legitimate though; it was up before AlphaRad released the game, and the download seemed to be planned to just be available in his discord server according to his video iirc. I guess this website may have updated to include the released version, though, idk, but it seems unofficial from what I can tell. I know some sites tend to redistribute legitimate copies of rom hacks anyway, though.

I gave it some thought, and Gabby's favorite Pokemon being Snorlax makes a lot more sense to me now. It's likable but also can be a menace, just like her. Also there's the Pokemon Sleep app, a super-wholesome and cozy game with Snorlax as the central Pokemon. Gabby's the type of girl that I think would like cozy, wholesome stuff in her games and PKMN Sleep is a great example.

I'd still pick Meowscarada personally, but thinking about it I definitely get Snorlax.

That’s a fair point actually. I wasn’t sure either if legitimate. But it’s probably just a reupload site. Either way his discord does indeed have the download either way.

I do kinda see the vision. I feel like the Lilo and Stitch remake might be the make-or-break for Disney continuing their live action remakes in general. If it flops, maybe that might be the smoking gun that prompts Disney to abandon the trend altogether.
