Let's remember this...

The animated Popeye movie was scrapped in favor for The Emoji Movie.

And here we are getting two Popeye horror movies...

What has cinema come to...

Just watched this again...and it's frankly sad how it still holds up even one generation later (and, if anything, has grown MORE relevant after Terastalization).
The current type chart is just not balanced right now. Snow at least helped Ice be better, but Bug is still total freaking garbage, and Terastalizing made Steel even more insanely broken than it already was. Rock and Poison aren't doing too great either.

The type chart HAS to change - a new type, changing resistances and weaknesses (WHY DOES FAIRY RESIST BUG, also Rock should resist itself prove me wrong), just SOMETHING. Because the way it is, some types are just completely gimped, preventing some really popular Pokemon like Snom, Malamar, Abomasnow, Leavanny and several others from being able to do ANYTHING. That's why my own type Love is not only super-effective against Steel, but also immune to it.

While pondering on ideas for the Purore region, I came up with a new type of weather - something that I think could be really interesting.
New Weather!.png

Once we're away from Terasteel- I mean Terastalization, Fairy will probably return to dominance, in addition to the addition of Love-type nerfing the Steels it usually worries about. So to prevent Fairy from getting TOO dominant, here's a weather that not only nerfs it, but also adds a huge boost to the struggling Poison type. Once a Poison type gets some Acid rain up, not only will you struggle to remove Poison types from the field due to their essential free Leftovers, BUT their Sludge Bombs and Sludge Waves will hit even harder.

And an update to the Poison Typergy ability, Ultra Toxic: not only do Normal-type moves become Poison Type, and not only do all Poison moves do double damage to poisoned foes, and NOT ONLY can all Poison Type moves damage Steel types...but the ability also calls forth Acid Rain, which can't be removed until another Typergy ability brings in new weather.

...I think I just made Poison types completely broken.

So apparently another Grinch horror is being made...

I'm so sick and tired of this trend turning childhood favorite into these slasher villains.

Winnie the Pooh, Popeye, Steamboat Willie, etc.

Not because it "destroys" your childhood but it's just lazy, uncreative and unoriginal when you can do more creativity with these characters in the public domain.

Hate to imagine 50 years from now... Horror slashers on Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, Spongebob. God imagine what they'd do with Pokémon...

Donkey Kong horror movie...Dear God the horror...

But civilization probably won't be around by then...Hopefully I'll be dead by then.

Public domain was a mistake...

Rant over.
I find it hilarious how people allow another take on a character or story “destroy” their childhood. The simple remedy is just don’t watch the new/changed version and keep enjoying the old/original version.

One of these days I want there to be an elephant starter Pokemon, and I want it to be huge.

Most starter Pokemon are around 1 foot tall, the biggest max out at around 2 and a half feet. I want this baby elephant to be like 3’11” and really chonky. And it only gets bigger :nifty:

I'm still thinking about the PH Brazil rumor that Microsoft has the largest list of confirmed games for Switch 2 than any other companies.

We know for a fact that 10 years worth of Call of Duty is happening and then there's rumors of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Interested to see what else could be possible if true.

Quickly guys! Time sensitive question*, what do you all think of Dudunsparce?

I like that it’s basically a big troll from Gamefreak.

Years and years of fanmade Dunsparce evolutions turning it into a majestic, legendary dragon. And the real thing is just…more Dunsparce.

I especially like that it has an incredibly hard to obtain form that’s not impressive at all. The whole point of Dunsparce was to be rare, but stupid. It fits.

Dudunsparce is one of the greatest joys I have seen in countless years, the dopey little tsuchinoko getting an evolution that is literally just bigger Dunsparce, the extra 'du' almost sounding like a 'ta-daaa' with it just so happening to have a rare extra segment form to make players feverishly try to fill out their living pokedex or getting a shiny seemingly get mocked with that ta-daa every time they evolve the little **** and find out lady luck wasn't on their side

Meh

I appreciate them making the Dunsparce evolution a joke but if I'm being honest I don't think it's that funny of one. I wish they did something more creative like they did with Farigiraf.

Plus the segmented body just looks kinda gross to me tbh. Kind of like a maggot.

What I find fascinating about Dudunsparce is how much it divides the Poke-playerbase. Some people found it hilarious while others were genuinely upset that it didn't become something greater, like a dragon or something.

I personally think there's room for BOTH kinds of Dunsparce evolution, and an ideal situation would allow for both possibilities to exist. So to that end, I dusted off my knuckles and built a regional Dunsparce form for Purore.
Regional Dunsparce.png

I wanted to avoid making Dunsparce look TOO fearsome, cuz I do think THAT takes away from the charm of the line being a silly snake which wouldn't harm a fly outside of battle. So instead of going straight up epic awesome dragon route, I went a, well, 'dreamier', cuter route. Everyone and their grandma wants a ground-fairy type and I thought it fit my idea the best. But to keep with its pretty draconic appearance and all the desire for a dragon-y Dunsparce, I gave it an ability that boosts dragon moves to STAB status, without having to worry about the additional weaknesses the Dragon type would give it (nobody wants to be quad-weak to Ice!).

I'm especially excited about the basis, though. I based it upon the European legend of the Sandman, a being that brings good dreams. And keeping with Dunsparce's friendly silly appearance, it evolves into a lovable serpent who brings good dreams to the people of Purore. It even evolves when it learns the special new move Slumber Sands, essentially a Ground-type version of Sleep Powder with slightly better accuracy.

I think I did a good job of giving this Pokemon some appeal to those disappointed by Dudunsparce while still keeping Dunsparce's classic doofy charm without making it a fierce dragon deity. But for those who prefer the classic Dudunsparce, there will be a fellow in Purore who offers a Johtonian Dunsparce for a Purorian Dunsparce, so everyone gets a happy ending.

🎵Mr Sandsparce, bring me a dream...🎵

I'm a little curious to know if Meowscarada actually is gonna be in the next Smash game, or if Gen IX will have passed its sell-by date by the next Smash release.

Adding a new Grass starter to the game would make it so Grass, Fire and Water have equal representation, so a new Grass starter would be ideal. But we're closing in on the end of Gen IX, so I'm curious if Sakurai will use a new gen 10 Grass starter, or even pull off a magic trick and give us a totally different Grass starter. Most likely Sceptile, but...imagine if Sakurai picks Meganium.

Rewatched Tremors. Reminds me how much I want a Universal Platform fighter game.

Burt Gummer along with Cocaine Bear would be my most wants.

Also had a stage idea for Perfection.

Players fighting on the roof of Walter Chang's market and the water tower. You're able to fight on the ground as well but if you stay for too long you risk getting attacked by graboids who are a stage hazard. Any contact with them will lead to damage and potentially a KO as they drag you underground.

Let's see. We've had:
Red/Blue
Gold/Silver
Ruby/Sapphire
Diamond/Pearl
Black/White
X/Y
Sun/Moon
Sword/Shield
Scarlet/Violet

What are some ideal names you can see for future Pokemon games?

For my own Purore region, I thought of Star and Shine, but that just sounded lame and kind of unfitting for the region - one game features the source of all magic elements/types (Fire, Ice, Water, Electric...) while the other features the source of all physical and/or entity elements/types (Rock, Grass, Bug, Dragon...). So the stellar theming doesn't really work for game names. I need better names.

Our site's spam catcher generally catches about 50~100 bot accounts a week. Most are just advertising bots who use User IDs that directly mention their product or they include links to their fake websites in their signatures, which are usually health supplements, fake streaming, or gambling.

How do they get so far as to make accounts and post/create signatures? Aren’t there measures in place to stop bots?

Personally if Smash gets a Grass type rep, who says it has to be a starter? Why not another legendary? The only one we have so far is Mewtwo.

I think she’d fit in like a glove

Does it have to do with fire and ice being types?
Fire and Ice DO happen to be the types of the legendary mascot for Pokemon Fire.

That said I do think Ice still kinda works for the version that has a Grass/Rock legendary mascot. Rock and Ice are both pretty hard things that necessitate a big heavy punch or a metal pick to break. In general Ice feels like it can cover both bases, as it's both an element and a physical thing that's part of many environments.
