Good comparison, I saw an adaptation of FSN years ago with friends and the writing of the game made it more enjoyable, seeing Shirou's inner monologues and the eloquent writing was quite gripping. A non VN example is The World Ends With You, Neku is a much worse character in the anime because when he ****s up horribly early on, not being able to see his inner thoughts like in the game makes it seem like he had no hesitations on ****ing up like that

Not my intention to be overly mean but a lot of people who aren't familiar with a gwnre tend to hype up ones for being unique or creative when the reality is that they simply don't look at the genre. Like, imagine if someone said that the greatest horror story was Sonic.exe, this hypothetical person has also never read any horror novels, watched any horror movies or played any horror games. You'd doubt their claim too right?

I don’t know tbh. People are weird. I can imagine someone who frequently consumes horror and also somehow thinks Sonic.EXE is the best one. Some people just have weird hyper specific tastes.

The marketplace has a subscription service that comes with stuff, but you shouldn’t need to subscribe to it to get anything as far as I know. You can find the Hello Kitty DLC on its own on the website, and it should be the same way ingame; you can browse the marketplace for free. Of course, you’ll still need to pay for the DLC itself.
How much is the DLC in USD? I see it in the coins but not usd. Wtf is that currency
Coins are used to buy stuff. None of it is needed to play the game.

It should work if you buy it via Xbox (the DLC is listed separately there) then go to the Switch if both are under the same Microsoft account. I had this happen in the past with various packs.
It depends on the actual writing itself and that comes down to the actual quality of the VN in question tbh

Like most 3rd party games, the Switch version is watered down in a variety of ways. I’d only recommend Minecraft for Switch if that’s the only console you have. PS5/XB are much better. PC is obviously the best.
How? Minecraft is a really old game! It had ports on friggin Wii U and 3DS for crying out loud? How does a game that looks like an N64 game not run well on switch?
If you remember, they split the PC and console versions into two different types of game.
