Just watched Crisis on Infinite Mirths. Pretty good, though the digitally traced model sheet art turned into flash rigs was very pop putting for a lot of the characters.

Nice that they specifically used Season 1/2 Dexter though. Aka the superior Dexter.

Seeing this devoid of context for a split second is really funny, not because I have strong opinions on Dexter's Laboratory but because if you say this exact sentence about Dexter, the show about a serial killer who goes after criminals, people would absolutely agree

Were you operating under some sort of rule that characters who are in smash can’t be here? Cause the lack of any final fantasy is jarring.

Also I’m pretty sure Wander is the bane of the Shadow of the Colossus guy, not the demon souls guy.

Y'all remember that Sonic screensaver program? It had its art put onto Sonic Gems Collection
As a kid I always believed the last few pictures depicted a distant future where Sega has completely taken over, where Sonic Team rules the government and the dominating face of Sonic is seen all around us, reminding us of who's really in charge.

Those videos of real lawyers playing Ace Attorney irritates me because of the fact that they absolutely do not know that Ace Attorney isn't going with our court but is going with Japan's backwards court
Tbf not only does the game says it takes place in America, but it's a parody of an outdated law system in Japan, not just the Japanese court in general

That reminds me, when I did a brief study abroad program in Japan in College, I remember it was primarily focused on Sociology and Criminal Justice, so we ended up visiting several court houses and police stations for seminars. I basically remember nothing from it now, but I still have several pictures of me and my classmates dressed up in the extra Judges robes they had laying around.

I think I left it in my personal safe with my legal documents, but I was also given a copy of the footage that was recorded of us by the local TV station.

Beat Gen 4 Lance and his GMO made Dragonites. Most of the Elite 4 were really easy, but I didn't have an Ice Move for him so that's whatever. Got Houndoom and he's about halfway caught up on levels before I even started any Kanto Gyms so I can have a reasonably cracked out team. It's good to have a Dark Type. I think I could've gotten him earlier if I had done more in the Safari. I think the only major adjustment to the Johto team I'd make is consider Mamoswine. But then again, I don't think I'd swap out any of the main 5 I've got now, honestly.

Last time I played Diamond, I went with the mostly stereotypical team of Infernape, Luxray, Staraptor, Roserade, but I had Azumarill as the Water Type. I tried to cook with Weavil too.

Yeah, and I have a couple FF choices in mind outside of what’s in Smash. I just haven’t decided which one yet

And I saw the name WanderER as the name for the DS player though I could use “Slayer of Demons” instead to avoid confusion

Day 6: Metroid Dread
images - 2025-03-06T194127.287.jpeg

Metroid Dread is easily one of, if not the best single player games Nintendo's made in the past decade, Samus herself looks amazing with a kinda freaky techno-organic suit, but the way she controls is simply amazing, she feels so smooth which makes for an unforgettable experience, the Samus Returns counter getting improved with the dash counter does a LOT for the game feel, especially with how aggressive enemies are so you can run right at em to smack them with the counter and blast their faces off! The new powers are pretty cool which when in combat also make you feel like a monster which is just amazing to me, especially as the game's EMMI Zones take that away and make you tense up to try and run. The story is also pretty neat, with Samus staying silent for most of it but still showing off there's still that badass woman under the suit we all love, and while I wouldn't have minded if she talked like in Fusion beyond the one scene here, what we got was really, REALLY cool. However, the coolest things about this game are the boss fights which feel incredibly fun, ESPECIALLY Raven Beak, oh my god. Easily the best Nintendo boss fight ever, he hits hard, he does the **** you do, but you can beat him at his own game! It's also really fun to sequence break when you know what you're doing as Nintendo did not do a Nintendo and remove that ****, my favourite example is getting the Gravity Suit early to absolutely clown on the underwater EMMI, but there's also stuff like using the dashes to instantly get onto Kraid's head and pump him full of missiles. This game is so ridiculously fun, I just cannot help but hope Nintendo keeps getting MercurySteam back for more amazing 2D Metroid, perhaps even better sequels or even the Fusion remake they wanted to do. A true must buy game for the system if you ask me

Are there anymore popular or most recognisable Sony IPs or third parties you can think of? That's a good start.

Still hoping for Kineticlops to make the cut even as DLC. But I'll be happy if War of the Monsters at least gets a stage.

What about Until Dawn representation? There's also Tomba for a classic Sony rep. Wander from Shadow of the Colossus and there's The Last Guardian as well for whether Tico or him and the boy together.

For third parties there's Monster Hunter.

I personally think Atreus should be added to the roster. God of War is one of Sony's most successful and popular IPs. It'd make sense for God of War to have more characters compared to others like you have with InFamous and Ratchet & Clank but since its your roster, do whatever feels right. Though I can see him playing similar to Aloy so I can see why you might not add him.

Started reading The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas.

Basically Night of the Museum if it was a horror.

Love the idea of a ghost dinosaur.

Only nitpick I have is COVID being a thing in this world but isn't enough to ruin my enjoyment so far with this book. After all I read Extinction by Douglas Preston that also had COVID and I enjoyed that one which was basically Jurssic Park with Pleistocene megafauna and FBI murder investigation mixed with sci-fi.

I'll never get over how one version of Sonic Lost World is my second-favorite game ever made and a game that endlessly uplifts me when I feel down...while the other version is straight-up dogwater...

Seriously. I know the 3DS is smaller scale but handheld ports of console games have worked for Sonic before, Sonic Colors DS is great. But Lost World 3DS...yeesh. The implementation of the parkour and wisp mechanics are so much worse than they are in the console game, and the bosses, while not embarrassingly easy like on console, can be a total pain too - figuratively or LITERALLY in Zor's case, because for some reason they decided to implement the 3DS' gyro mechanics and bro they do NOT work. The Special Stages are also ROUGH.

Yeah I might be a SLW stan but that ONLY goes for the console version

Hey so I have a question to people in the US, are eggs really costing you over 10 bucks? I got a major shock learning you guys have to pay more than what's on the price tag but I really need to know how bad the egg situation is over there to get some perspective
I think it varies from state to state but
IMG_20250307_075553.jpg

This is in California. Luckily we don't have to pay sales tax on most groceries here so the price is actually as listed but still.

When I first beat this game I immediately had to play it again. That rarely happens to me, this game is that good

It took me so many hours to beat Raven Beak. It was like 4 am by the time I saw the ending.
