If he wants less 'sequel-y' 'remake-y' films in the future, I'd suggest that Micheal starts supporting the films of A24. They're an independent company that both distributes and produces some of the best independent cinema you see these days. Everything Everywhere All At Once? That was them. They've gotten a lot of attention for their original filmography and you're likely to find SOMETHING you resonate with.

Which is why I'm excited for Death of a Unicorn. Finally a creature feature that isn't sharks and of all things a killer unicorn?

Star Fox is definitely one of the best Nintendo IP choices for movie material and would really love to see one be made. An origin story of Fox McCloud is something I'd really like to see.

Think this is something that works better as a show notably on NetFlix.

Really though, a killer unicorn is an idea that I'm genuinely stunned hasn't been attempted before.

If you really think about it, horses are SCARY. They're huge, they'll kick the soul out of any poor sap who doesn't approach them correctly, they bite (and their mouths are HUGE), and they're fast. Imagine a horse running straight at you with a death glare. 1050 pounds of pure rage...

Add a razor-sharp horn onto the might of an angry horse, and all hope is lost.

I'm surprised a killer hippo movie alone hadn't been made given their reputation as the most dangerous animal in Africa.

Speaking of killer horses. Read this book called Tortures of the Damned by Hunter Shea years ago involving a bio-chemical attack from terrorists that affects most of the east coast of the US which makes all animals in contact with it very hyper aggressive and vicious attacking people on site, horses was amongst those and shows how terrifying they can be as you described.

One of the horses in that book bit off a guys face! Damn!

What makes up for the lack of creature features in modern Hollywood nowadays are Indie films and novels.

Currently reading The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas and it's about ghost dinosaurs!

Basically Night of the Museum if it was a horror.

But I'm just glad A24 is doing a killer creature flick on a mythical creature I never would have expected lol.

Also Bubbles was set up because Lilo was a VERY troubled child with Nani struggling to take care of her, what we see at Hula class is simply one case out of what Bubbles implies is many

Yeah there was a subtle race element in there too with how Lilo and Nani were treated, and I hope the live action remake doesn't erase that.

Like it wasn't the big thing but it was there.

Pokémon GO: Moving to a New Home with Scopely

For the unfamiliar, this is pretty bad. I remember hearing that Scopely bought some marvel game and ****ed it up.

Looking into things, they don't seem to have the best of reputations, let alone being owned by Saudi Arabia. Best case scenario is they stay hands off given how much money Go already generates and the Nintendo/GF/TPC involvement and let the current Go development crew do their own thing.* Worse case is microtransactions/ads are introduced.

*There were reports that the Niantic CEO was more interested in data collection than improving the game and taking player feedback to heart. Supposedly their influence resulted in daily caps being placed on Remote Raids and the price in the Shop for Remote Passes being increased as well as the generally disliked Route system to obtain Zygarde.

Aside from Community Day boosted Shinies (1/25) and Masterwork Research to obtain Shiny Mythicals, the game has been pretty stale for me.

Glad I've started to already transfer some of my shiny collection over. You can only transfer 5 Shiny Pokemon with a fully charged bar (1 full bar for a Shiny Legendary) and it takes 1 full week for the bar to charge. I currently have 570 Shinies in Go, so it'll take around 2.5 years to transfer everything.

I don't believe if there is a limit if you transfer to Let's Go directly, so at least Kanto Pokemon I don't have to worry too much about. I worked way too hard to obtain Shiny Mew to lose it now.

EDIT: Actually it looks like you can't transfer Mew into Let's Go.

An origin? Wasn’t that the original game, where he joined Starfox after Andross killed his dad? Because James is the one who made Starfox IIRC.

At that point, if we’re going in the past, make a game with James McCloud and prime Peppy.

Text only game intros and instruction booklets aren't an enticing way to see a character go through development at all. I want something like him growing up and see the first few steps of being a member of Star Fox.

We live in a world where an animated Popeye film was canceled in favor of The Emoji Movie and instead we get 3 Popeye horror films released in the same year.

Am I the only tge sick of this trend where once entering the public domain the first thing done is making beloved characters into slasher villains when there are so many potential ideas and opportunities you could do with them?

It's lazy and unoriginal.

Unoriginal? Maybe.

But I definitely wouldn't call it lazy. Like I said with the live-action remakes, there are people working on these films that I believe are putting their heart into their work, or at least making the best of what they can with a silly premise.
