Our last piece of news on the game was all the way back in June and that trailer really felt like just a tiny teaser if anything so I can believe it.

Apparently it got a limited release in back December 2024, but I figure marketing for it must've been pretty limited since earlier this month was the first I heard of it (and I recall seeing several other people being surprised by it's existence as well).

this is the first time they add music from a Third Party game (even it was developed by Nintendo), so Super NES SimCity isn't that impossible.

Jokes aside I do think Mega had a pretty damn solid lineup of sets, especially things like the moving statues, the Pokedex and the pixel art. Stuff that I don't think Lego would do and especially not for the price Mega had.

But I think it is also telling that despite how cool some of them are, I never picked any up.

Pokémon dropping mega blocks is pretty shocking.

I never thought they would abandon that partnership. Never had much interest in them because they weren’t as intricately built as legos.

There is a lot of potential here now that they have the Lego designer team on this. From full scale sets like elite four models, gym models, Pokemon centers/marts, etc.

Or full on recreations of popular Pokemon from across all gens.

I wonder what made they stop the mega blocks partnership.
