And you know what? I don’t hate it. If it leans campy and has a good cast, and actually gives us supernatural mysteries, then the show could be good.

I'd ask for Matthew Lillard to reprise the role of Shaggy again, but that wouldn't work if the gang are supposed to be either fairly young adults or teenagers again here.

You'd think it'd be easy peasy to get all the UMK3 Male and Female ninja as they color swaps of each other. Skarlet even has a UMK3 design to use as well.

I'll admit that I haven't actually played Hey! Pikmin, either, but I don't mind that they made a spin-off because it helps get word about the series out there. Pikmin 3 and nostalgia from older fans of the series really helped gradually bring the series into the spotlight, and Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Pikmin 4's massive successes have solidified it as another major Nintendo IP and a beloved modern game franchise in general.

And actually, I'm not sure if that's necessarily a hot take. There's a lot of changes about Pikmin 4 that people are fairly divided on, but the one thing that almost everyone seems to agree on is that most of the game's soundtrack is way too relaxed and atmospheric for a Pikmin game, especially when every other game in the series is well known for having creative and striking OSTs.

...With that said, Pikmin 4 still has the occasional awesome song that's an exception to it's otherwise "meh" OST. Probably most notably, and my personal favorite, this one:

Pikmin 4 and Metroid Dread were both composed by the same guy and there are several songs in each that prove he can do more melodic stuff like past games, but for the most part they're just atmosphere.

For Pikmin it's weird because unlike Zelda there wasn't really a massive gameplay shakeup that warranted the change. Days are only slightly longer than before and caves are mostly the same style of gameplay as well.

For Metroid it's really weird because Dread is by far the most action-heavy the 2D games have gotten.

From what I've seen, Sub-Zero comes with icy tools rather than generic MK-themed ones, so they must be doing more than just recoloring the male ninja model's textures and selling it over and over.

Hmm.....well also considering that there was that leaked concept art which had a few names that were not included during the announcement, I wouldn't be surprised if they will possibly save the remaining cast reveal probably for a future event in which July's San Diego Comic-con as a likely destination.
