In general, the bug megas were among the coolest ones. It's nice to see their type receive some really fun tools for the Gen VI meta.

I kinda wish some of the ingame gym leaders throughout Gen VI got to use more megas. I think that's why they never really stuck with me.

Which is a shame cuz I DO love my bugs with rocket launcher fists

Yeah I always found it weird how none of the gym leaders used megas. Kahunas use Z-Moves in gen 7, the gym leaders use Dynamax in gen 8, they use Tera in gen 9, but in Kalos the special gimmick is off limits I guess.

Makes Mega Evolution feel really understated in the narrative of XY, even though it’s supposed to be the whole point.

Since it’s a Disney+ show, everything will always religiously be stuck between 6-10 episodes and nothing more. They’re really stubborn about it stories on the service being wrapped up within that timespan, hence the problems people have with a lot of the MCU shows.

I absolutely LOVE that he got beaten up so bad, the pigs stopped beating up for a sec and then asked him if he's had enough and he just sticks out his tongue like a toddler. That is based, Luffy would definitely approve and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of their dynamic

And as for the rest of y'all making jokes about how Jess' ship list is "basic": listen, some shippers tend more towards canonically hinted ships and that's okay. I'm glad Jess enjoys the ships she mentioned. (Yes I know y'all were mostly joking around, but I just felt like it needed to be said.)

It’s probably balanced around needing to heal after each fight potentially or just for convenience. Because for something like rad red your main bosses are not in the routes, but in towns or evil team encounters.

so I’m guessing there’s something similar here.
