Back from seeing an early showing of Looney Tunes. I don't think it's groundbreaking or anything, but it is a fun time all around. There was only one joke, unsurprisingly a modern joke, that I don't think worked/was cringe, but everything else was solid. There is a kind of clever plot twist towards the end and the relationship between Daffy/Porky really is heartfelt. I still prefer greedy Daffy over screwball Daffy, but they did a nice job of using the screwball-ness to their advantage.
There was sadly only myself and four other people at the theater this early, but thankfully they ranged in age. There was a Father with their 7 year old daughter and an older couple in their 70s. Sadly from what I've read, it doesn't look like the film will make much back, so seeing it in theaters at this point is probably more of a bragging right than anything.
If you can make the time though, please do go see it. After what happened to Coyote vs. Acme among other cancelled WB films as of late, this is finally the chance for people to put their money where their mouth is against the Execs making these decisions.
