If we're talking nostalgic toy commercials, I have to mention the GOAT

Any of the Mahri or Barraki commercials are probably my favorite but I mostly remember the Online mini movie versions and not the commercial versions.
This.

Now THIS, right here, was my childhood along with video games.

I loved Bionicle in general. I played with them all the time, loved both building and playing with them more than any other action figures on the market, and I always either asked or hoped for the next series of them every Christmas or so.

To this day I still own every figure I ever got as a gift or bough myself. The Hordika, Inika and Mahri Toa and the Vizorak, Piraka and Barraki are among my favorites, along with the Rahkshi as well.

Bring BIONCLE back again, Lego. You revived 'em once, you can bring 'em back a second time.

Didn't these fellas get in trouble once for using a no-no stereotype lol.
To explain, that was from a character description of one of the...tongue Mixels iirc (some of the ideas for Mixel tribes were wild), and the bio referred to them as a...let's say it's the title of a popular Aphex Twin song. Which also happens to be a no-no word.

That'd probably be part of why the franchise ended so quickly. A controversy like that is gonna cast a DARK shadow on the whole thing. But it's a shame that some Lego webmaster's terrible choice of words cast such a bad reputation on a really charming toyline.

Not the Goon Gumpas 😔

I did know about the controversy, but I never knew the details, I had no idea that phrase that was the source of controversy was ableist, the more you know I guess

A FCC filing for appears to be a wireless GameCube styled controller for Switch 2
Well, it'll at least work for Ultimate and the Mario Sunshine re-release. I already own Metroid Prime's original version, does the remaster let you use the GC controller like those two?

...okay.

I won't try to change your minds. I'm a lot more positive about the future, but I know constant positivity can get beyond exhausting...even in the times we're in right now.

But if humanity only has so much time left...I guess we better make the most of it.
Oh unlike Michael I don't think humanity is going anywhere, I'm just second-guessing if I should still being trying to always see the good in people.

But I suppose I've been spiraling a lot too and I just haven't been feeling like myself.

I might need to get screened for PTSD tbh.

So what is considered the order of what is the easiest to hardest to 100% for the games in Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy?
If you consider getting the gold time trial relics for every game, then I'd say, from easiest to hardest, Crash 3 -> Crash 2 -> Crash 1.

If you don't, then you're only required to get gold time trial relics in Crash 3, so the order would be Crash 1/Crash 2 tied and then Crash 3 as the hardest.

Take good care of yourself. I hope you find your light at the end of this tunnel.

I won't say much, but I will say that you deserve to be happy, and I'm sorry that you've not been feeling like yourself lately. Just remember to look after yourself and take the steps you believe you need to take to heal yourself, at the pace you feel most comfortable.

So there’s some speculation regarding the next season of Fortnite:

The date the current season ends is May 2. Additionally, during the latest story quests in the Battle Royale, there’s a suspicious looking chest that resembles a different chest.

The answer? It seems the next Fortnite season will be a collaboration with Star Wars.

Even if there isn’t a full season, there will likely be a Star Wars character in the Battle Pass next season.

I've been trying to get into listening to more industrial music. My all time favorite album is Nine Inch Nails' seminal "The Downward Spiral" and I'm a huge fan of NIN in general. I owe it to the genre to get into more of its artists.

Going through Skinny Puppy's discography first. So far, "Burnt With Water" is my favorite of their songs.

I will agree, the Dualshock actually rules. Gamecube is elite as well, if it had some extra buttons to make it more "modern" it'd be my top choice; I also hate how no other Nintendo controller has pressure triggers.

The 360 controller is the gold standard imo; the best controllers nowadays usually are based of the 360s design.

Back from seeing an early showing of Looney Tunes. I don't think it's groundbreaking or anything, but it is a fun time all around. There was only one joke, unsurprisingly a modern joke, that I don't think worked/was cringe, but everything else was solid. There is a kind of clever plot twist towards the end and the relationship between Daffy/Porky really is heartfelt. I still prefer greedy Daffy over screwball Daffy, but they did a nice job of using the screwball-ness to their advantage.

There was sadly only myself and four other people at the theater this early, but thankfully they ranged in age. There was a Father with their 7 year old daughter and an older couple in their 70s. Sadly from what I've read, it doesn't look like the film will make much back, so seeing it in theaters at this point is probably more of a bragging right than anything.

If you can make the time though, please do go see it. After what happened to Coyote vs. Acme among other cancelled WB films as of late, this is finally the chance for people to put their money where their mouth is against the Execs making these decisions.

Day 14: Celeste
1_lY12Iwv4qFS9Mb2DYpyvYQ.png

Celeste is a beautiful game. That's all that needs to be said, be it the lovely sprite work, the incredible music, the touching story or the challenging but fair gameplay, all of these combined make a simply amazing package, going through Madeline's struggles which for some people, are very relatable and unfortunately for others, were too much to bear. I still regularly think about the game every now and then, I loved it enough to get all the strawberries and hidden collectibles in those grueling climbs, I did all the brutal B Sides and even the C sides. However, one thing that sticks to my mind is from the DLC chapter added for free. Not for being the hardest thing in the game, requiring advanced techniques, but because of the story of it all. It ended up being incredibly relevant as shortly after I played it, my grandfather passed away which considering the story of the DLC chapter, eerily prepped me for the reality of my life. I know things seem very difficult in these times and a mere video game won't be much help, but it makes for a distraction, which might help
