Yeah, Chunky and Tiny were pretty redundant. Tiny less so, cause Shrinking could have been her thing entirely, while Dixie was the flyer.

I'll forgive Kiddy if he does just turn into Broly Kong though.



Need them to add the cooler X-Men like Nightcrawler since they already got Wolverine and Storm.

I'm probably the outlier in the DK fandom in that I don't want to see these characters age and change. I argue that the games where Tiny is shown and has become a teenager are non-canonical for this very reason. If Kiddy shows up and he's not still a baby then it's not Kiddy.

But yeah, I argued a while ago that DK 64 could have just been DK and Diddy (give all of Chunky's powers to DK, give all of Tiny's powers to Diddy, and split Lanky's between the two) and it would have been a better designed game.

OK I'm not gonna say they've won me over but I'm more welcome to what they're doing. A few details are things that I really wish had been done differently but the foundation looks solid enough. I just hope that, over the course of the pre-release cycle, we get confirmation that more characters from his expanded cast are gonna be there.

Even if K. Rool isn't the main villain they could do him as a side character, helping DK out in exchange for something and lording over him the fact that he needs his help. That could be a fun dynamic.

Still hoping for costumes, we saw those pretty early on in Odyssey if I remember correctly.

also i'm still not on board with all of DK's new weird facial expressions I think they all look really stupid.

Emma Frost always confused me as a kid because her powers have nothing to do with ice. I don't get why they didn't give her a name that didn't confuse people about what her powers were.

I really like the moment when hes trying to figure out how to calm the rock down and he actually pauses to think and then starts whitling. DK is more than just a big dumb stupid ape and I like that they showed him problem solving like that.

I do believe that’s what their roles are. Which I don’t mind. We got human torch last season and he is fun.

We have a fairly large duelist roster right now anyway. My favorites are Magik, moon knight, squirrel girl and then iron man.

As for supports I play Loki and Luna is fun if I have to play another healer instead. Not going to lie though, I don’t like how most of the tanks work. They just sit there taking hits and can’t really score kills. Which doesn’t help if the enemy team is well out together and yours can’t coordinate right.

However, I do play the thing if there’s a tank role that needs filling. He’s a perfect mix for what a tank should be imo. I even bought his trench coat outfit.

I’ll play Penni too if I need too, but she’s a little complicated. The thing is easy to understand and can quite literally be a rock for the team. So I hope Emma can be as good and Balanced as he is.

I'm of two minds about the odd rock. On one hand, it's cool they assigned this gameplay function to a character instead of a gadget or an item, that's something Rare did all the time and Nintendo rarely does. On the other hand I feel like I can see his entire storyline a mile away and you can too if you've played Kirby and the Forgotten Land or Sonic Unleashed. So.... eh.

I guess he’s season 3 at this point. Maybe his kit needed some reworking. Ultron was suppose to launch with the game after all.

Hope they nail his kit, if he can’t shine in a movie, let Blade shine in Rivals and let people know how badass he is as a character

I get that this is a team and they have a style but I just... I wish they tried to go for a different visual style instead of having it look sooooo much like Odyssey. Like even something as simple as using a different style of texturing would go a really long way to making it stand more on it's own.

Oh hey, they referred to Sylux as a He. Originally it was "IT" or They. I know I remember people saying they had theories that Sylux's beef with the Feds and Samus was that Sylux could've been a clone or brother/sister of Samus in some way. But that was only a fan-theory. I would like his mystery motivations to get shown off finally.

Showing off the Federation Force mechs in an artstyle that fits Metroid is crazy though. Like, ****** would've been more down for that game off of that alone. Switching between Mouse controls and Two-Joy con mode seems really seamless, even if it's a style I probably won't use.

Anyways, that game looks badass. And the music cues and sound effects hit harder for me than I thought it would.

KKKevin Fiege will have Patrick Stewart in that chair even after he actually needs it, and Emma Frost in the shooter game. But no Blade movie or Blade in Rivals? No Bishop, despite him being and X-Men who also uses guns in combination with his powers. I see it.

Bananza is the perfect way to bring back Donkey Kong (that’s not another port or Mario), a game where you can destroy the entire level while collecting gold and consuming potassium. They even brought back “oh, banana!” from DK64 (different voice but same line). Of course, DK is already popular, but this has GOT to shoot his popularity straight through the roof. It’s charming, it’s funny, and you can destroy nearly everything!

It would be nice if the Kremlings and other Kongs returned, though (and Cranky has already been shown, so there may be other returning Kongs too), but this game is still absolutely fantastic. I haven’t actually played a DK game in a long time (outside of DKC on NSO and a bit of DK64 in recent years), with DK64 being my favorite from what I’ve played despite its issues (I really like it, and loved it as a kid), and I’m very excited for this!

Most of the tanks seem eh to me…tho I might give Venom another chance since I worked hard to make his ass shake (the swinging finna be a massive problem)…much easier to shoot nuts with Squirrel Girl, damage with Cloak, and heal with both Invisible Woman and Dagger

In terms of tanks, I mainly use Peni. I'm not very good when it comes to tanks outside of her.

She also somewhat scratches that TF2 engineer itch that I have at times with her deployments, but not fully.

I'm a Squirrel Girl and Jeff main, but I like Rocket and Peni as well. I'm also quickly learning that Star Lord is fun as hell.

Yeah, so the courses still mostly have 3 laps, and still have a scoring and menu between races. The transitions aren't as extreme as I was a little worried about. It doesn't bleed into one singular race like I thought it would. Each race still feels complete on its own. It's more that there's more stages like WuHu Island with checkpoints. So I guess that's where things are going. Most of those stages, like the DK one still has a clear loop from start to finish in and of itself.

Aside from the insane price, which is some BS. I think the only thing I don't like is that costumes you don't just unlock right away and might have to deal with lightning screwing you over and you lose the fit. I feel like a more clean way to unlock them would be better. But I'm sure some people might like the challenge of it instead.

And a minor complaint, I think the Speedometer should come back. Double Dash had one, but with the coins being a factor still, being able to actually see the difference in speed when you have some coins or a lot or none at all can be pretty helpful for any type of player.

She’s sort of an anti hero. Kind of depends on the story. She’s a telepath but also has a diamond form and is considered one of the strongest marvel characters in existence. Definitely one of the strongest mutants out there.

If you watch X-Men 97 she shows up in the new season and original show I believe. So that can give you a look into her character. Snow is worth the watch regardless.

Evil White Woman tm. Becomes Anti-Hero White Woman. She's a telepath, cause Marvel has stronger telepaths, while DC has stronger Super Speed ******. She gets a 2nd mutation where she can turn into diamonds, which makes her "iced out" another pun on her name, instead of referring to her icy demeanor.

She's generally kind of a douche 80%, so Gay X-Men fans refer to her as mother despite there being cooler female character from the same series. She ALSO fakes a British accent like Madonna, she's from Boston, home of the CeltiKKKs.

Was Prime 2 confirmed? I mostly want 3 to get remastered so it can have a regular control option. I still have my copies of Prime 1 and 2, thankfully.

Ok so I do feel strange about like… the entire gameplay structure of DKB. Because yes, it does look at least a little fun. But I feel like this pigeon holes the series in a way. In both 3D and 2D. Now if you want to make a game that isnt about smashing everything with a fully destructible environment people will feel weird about it. And I imagine this will affect how people look at the older games too. Now DK games have to be about smashing stuff. It’s not like Mario where you can take away the fludd or cappy and it’s fine. This is baked into the dna of the character. And I don’t know how I feel about that because smashing things is not why I like donkey Kong or his games.
