It annoyed me for a different reason, and it has more to do with ToTK itself. Wasn't a fan of how all the story relevant stuff has almost nothing to do with Link. It was Zelda's story first and foremost, but because status quo is king we don't actually see it nor follow her. Instead we get a significantly less interesting story with Link.

In other words, ToTK should've starred Zelda but Nintendo were a bunch of cowards.

But also, I am not a fan of shoving the lore into Warriors spinoffs, like please stop man.
Yeah after the AoC story chickened out of doing a canonical ending I don't have faith that this will actually be faithful to the Imprisoning War either. It's weird because you could so very easily have had both the canon compliant ending as the standard ending and then you do a certain requirement and get the Golden Ending which would be what we did get. They could have had their cake and eaten it too.
Okay, I'm a big fan of all the "Wild" era LoZ games so far, but I actually agree with these criticisms.

I thought it made enough sense with Link being playable in TotK, and I still thought his story and his interactions with the new Sages were great, but I also think they should've made Zelda playable in addition and given her a storyline of her own there.

And why didn't they at least add the canon ending of the near-apocalypse and deaths of the Champions in the DLC? They could've easily added that as an additional short campaign along with the rest of the game's DLC.

Master Sword? Secret Stones? Sages?

Link, forget about all that and get down with Sidon.

.....wait hold on that's not what I meant
mfw Urbosa's thunder claps means lighting strikes when she claps her hands and not [redacted] (I wasted $90 on this game plus subscription fees)

No see her proper playable debut in the main series had to be in the weird experimental game where she doesn't directly fight and she's first shown summoning furniture because that would make #ThosePeople mad

I told my mom how you have to drive to the next track when you’re done with a race in the new Mario kart, expecting her to think it would make the game to complicated, but no she thought it sounded fun.

Well **** me then I guess.

The first remake hasn’t even released yet!

You gotta wonder how many better projects got shelved and will never see the light of day to make stuff like this happen

Guess I'm one of the few here who still thought the games after BotW were great. -Shrug- My only concern with Age of Imprisonment is if they still don't have at least the canon ending since Zelda still makes it back to the main timeline eventually, and all of the others in Hyrule's founding days would be long dead by the time of BotW even if they survived, so it'd make little sense to me for there to be an alternate timeline here even if Age of Calamity set a precedent for it.

Zelda stuff aside, however, I'm just as if not even more hyped for Deltarune's latest chapters. I'm both looking forward to and simultaneously terrified of that awesome band minigame in Deltarune's latest trailer. Hyped because it looks epic, worried because I utterly suck at rhythm games.

I wonder 'how' Snowgrave will impact the game since, ya know, Deltarune has save files.

Like, how many endings will this game have compared to Undertale....? If you don't Snowgrave in Chapter 2 but do in Chapter 3, how will the story change, etc....

What do you think will release first: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond or Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
We are lacking a story trailer or in depth look at Metroids world, so I am Going to say ZA. Metroid could be the holiday title and we just don’t know it.
Granted they could do a June direct give us that and go “Metroid is out August”

So it could go either way right now

What WAS the context of Kiryu slamming his fist on the table again?
His love interest in the game goes to the main antagonist (who is her half-brother) to try and stop him from starting a yakuza war and basically says her goodbyes.

Also Nintendo didn’t list the price of the Switch 2 in the direct.

So imo that means they are open to changing it and we’re testing the waters. Would not be surprised if Nintendo come out and frame as they are always listening to their consumers and will be adjusting the price so everyone can enjoy their games like it’s always suppose to be.

I think part of it is because they knew how people would react to the pricing but also Trump's Tariffs mean they can't exactly nail down and commit to a price

I just don’t understand people. To me it sounds like padding and that it takes away from your individual victories in each race by not having it determine your starting position. It just does not sound fun to me and I’m confused. I don’t get why people like this.
Well the point of this Kart game is obviously about the exploration, which is kind of a ridiculous concept but I’m down. So in this game, which is less about the competition and more about creating a cohesive world, it makes total sense that you’d drive from race to race.

It’s kinda like Mario and friends are on a globe trotting roadtrip, and you get to play as your favorite character (including the most basic of enemies and the most random of NPCs) and immerse yourself in this journey.

For a game that’s obviously trying to differentiate itself from the standard Mario Kart experience, I’m down with that.

Legit, it might be me becoming more cynical with age but Nintendo's obsession with gameplay above all else genuinely sucks cause the only reason Zelda is playable.is because she would 'fix' the issue of players not using Fun New Mechanic as Link could ignore summonong enemies and just swing a sword

There’s a part of me that’s just happy to see Dragons get content aside from a Paw Patrol spin off. Even if it’s recycled content.

I know he is wrong, but he is powerful.
No but FR tho TV guy has the exact same smile as the basement creep from Chapter 2

But like… that’s not why I play Mario Kart. I play to go fast and win races.

And seriously why do people have such a hard on for exploration? It’s not that fun or interesting.

Idk I’m still hoping there’s at least a mode where it just warps you from track to track like the old games.

Mario Kart World is them going all in on making the courses feel connected like in Double Dash where you could see Daisy Cruiser off in the distance on a couple of tracks or how Rainbow Road is right above Mushroom City and I always liked those details.

****'s cool.
Which means we probably won’t have some if the more interesting or out there courses. Like how are you gonna fit Waluigi Pinball or Squeaky Clean Sprint into an open world map?

Mario Kart always had exploration, how do you think people find those shortcuts?

You know there’s probably gonna be other modes that’ll allow you to play track by track like previous games and you probably won’t need to play the off track modes if you don’t want, right?

I remember getting to the Daisy Cruiser track as a kid and thinking "Hey, this is that cruise ship from Peach Beach!"

I wish the series had more tracks and elements like that between Double Dash and World.
