No but fr tho, FE6 is soo ass, man.

All the maps have the exact. same. objective, and it feels like there's only a handful of actually 'good' units. Roy is especially ass in his own game.

The only thing the game has to spice up the gameplay are the hidden chapters to get the Legendary weapons, but even then those are just "Clear X map in X turns", and they're the exact same clear conditions as the normal maps.

Also the Legendary weapons can break, which incentivizes you to either not use them, or use them sparingly, and if Roy's Legendary weapon breaks, then you're locked out of the good ending.

Also, I feel like if the game were remade for modern consoles, Lilina would have a much larger role. She's Hector's daughter and set up to be Roy's main love interest, but after you recruit her and get the first Legendary weapon, she's just kinda... there? She really doesn't feel super plot relevant after that point.

Also Roy can marry his teacher which is like, very, very anime.

I will say, Lyn Mode tricked me into thinking she'd have a bigger role in the game.

Nope. Got pranked.
Nostalgia is one hell of a drug my friend, her impact cannot be denied but it is insane how she's without a doubt one of the most popular women in the series despite barely mattering in her own damn game

This is funny cause the most infamous **** about FE6 is haha Bolting hit Roy now you have to restart or FE6 having truly absurd hit rates. Iirc the ROM hack Project Ember is deemed a significantly better alternative, being described as FE6 for people who do not like FE6 and if you're playing a Japanese only GBA game you might as well try and get that

Is Lyn still the Artoria of FEH? A part of me feels like Lucina, Robin, or Female Corrin must have usurped her by now.

Camilla has 10 alts, Lyn and Eirika have 9, Chrom, Lucina, F!Corrin, both Robins and Edelgard have 8
Eirika and Lyn also both have their emblem alts in game and these numbers aren't counting resplendents or being the backpack in a duo

I'm actually surprised Eirika of all characters has that much, huh.

I typed up a guide for Switch 2 pre-ordering on Discord and I figured it'd help to share with y'all here:

US Switch 2 Pre-Orders
After being delayed, US Switch 2 pre-orders will begin on April 24th, 2025. Pre-orders will be opening at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop. Specific pre-order times are as follows:
  • Walmart: 12am ET/9pm PT online—has a stated 9am launch day delivery.
  • Target: 12am ET/9pm PT online—no guarantee you'll receive it on launch.
  • Best Buy: 12am ET/9pm PT online—has an option for in-store midnight release pickup.
  • GameStop: 11am ET/8am PT online, in-store when stores open on the 24th—online orders can only be shipped, whereas in-store orders can only be picked up in-store. GameStop will be doing midnight releases for the Switch 2 as well.
Walmart, Target, and Best Buy all start their pre-orders at the same time, so it's fundamentally up to personal preference. I can't necessarily recommend one over the other, since I've had success with all three in the past. I'll personally be trying at Best Buy, though it's more of an ethical thing for me.

GameStop is the only major retailer starting pre-orders the day of the 24th instead of at midnight. If you miss your shot for a Switch 2 at any of the former three retailers, this is your second chance. If you don't get one online, you can visit your local store since they have a separate allotment of stock. It's unknown how many Switch 2's brick-and-mortar GameStops will have, but you should generally be fine provided you arrive like, 2 hours before opening. No need for an obscene overnight campout.

But what about Nintendo?
Nintendo's using an entirely different process entirely. Provided that you (a) registered interest on their How to buy Switch 2 page and (b) meet the requirements for priority eligibility (At least 12 months on a self-owned NSO account and at least 50 hours of playtime shared with Nintendo), you may be sent an invite to purchase from the Nintendo Store starting May 8th.

Invites will be sent out on a first-come first-serve basis based on eligibility, with priority given to people who meet all the aforementioned requirements before being sent out to remaining eligible registrants.

If you get an invite, it'll be in the form of an email link that will be valid for 72 hours. During this time you'll be able to purchase the console you registered interest for as well as additional accessories and games. Of note, this is the only way to purchase the NSO GameCube controller. It's unknown if you will receive your Switch 2 on launch day if you buy from Nintendo, but getting an invite is the only guaranteed way to get a console.

Nintendo can be considered a sort of third chance/redemption round for eligible people, though I would still recommend trying for a retailer pre-order regardless. Worse comes to worst, you can always cancel your retailer pre-order if you get an invite to purchase from Nintendo.

Help! I'm super stressed about pre-orders!
A healthy amount of anxiety isn't a bad thing! It's unknown how competitive Switch 2 pre-orders will be based on the unique circumstances surrounding these pre-orders. Reports from insiders like Bilibili-kun claim that Nintendo has an ample amount of stock for pre-orders, and this is backed up by the relatively chill experience our European friends have had pre-ordering. However, it's possible that concerns surrounding tariffs and price increases may create a significant amount of FOMO leading to more competition and scummy resellers attempting to capitalize on that. Regardless, expect competition and be prepared. Here are some tips on how to do that:
  • Use multiple devices. Based on previous competitive pre-orders, sometimes a store's app is faster than their browser page. Regardless, having multiple devices and windows trying for something gives you more chances to get through an overburdened web server.
  • Make sure you have an account and your accounts are up to date. You'll want to have both your address and payment method saved to your account at minimum. If you have a PayPal, make sure to log in to that as well beforehand and use it when available.
  • If you don't get one, it's not over. Besides subsequent pre-order drops, retailers will probably provide more opportunities for pre-orders after this, but at that point you'll need to watch for dedicated notification accounts/platforms like Wario64, Jake Randall, hotstock, or Nowinstock
That's all I got. Best of luck.

To this day, I'm still rallying for Project X Zone 3 to happen; and include Scrimblo mascot characters. (yeah, I said it for the 1000000th time lol)

Aside of Sonic, Pac-Man and Klonoa; what other toons (as in "cartoon character") should be there?

It always bugged me that Ultimate finally made Masked Dedede his Final Smash (instead of the garbage Smash 4 had) but then proceeded to not add a Masked Dedede theme into the game.

Maybe Smash 6.
Lot of themes are missing in general like how Smash has a stage from Majora’s Mask but the only track from that game is mostly a remix of the original Zelda theme excluding the beginning (Termina Field).

PAC-LAND doesn’t have its theme because it was apparently based on the cartoon at the time but not 100% sure.

Figure-8 Circuit’s theme isn’t in Smash. The only track from DS is Waluigi Pinball. Also there was an error where it was called Mario Circuit in previous games despite having the Figure 8 shape

I like to think Lyn realized the cushy noble life was nothing and just traveled the world with Florina as nothing else makes sense. That's way better than *ing Canas. Seriously, why the * did they do that, dark magic having consequences like that was only ever in the same game as Canas and then they just kill him through unrelated methods.

Also fun fact as *ed up FE4 is, I think FE8 having implied necrophilia and getting the age rating it has might be the most morally depraved thing the series. If they ever remake that they need to keep the horrendous *. And maybe not tone down the other bad **** in that game. Make it a bit more challenging too and it might be the greatest game in the series ngl, I love that ****ed up little GBA game

Nintendo heard you and said "yeah let's put it on NSO tonight"

Just got a notification from LRG about my Shantae GBA and Rugrats NES cart pre-order shipment being prepared.

No shipping/tracking just yet, but it's progress. I thought I'd be waiting until the end of the year after what happened with the Rugrats cartridge drama.
I got the notification for Shantae Advance too! Man, I'm pumped for it!

What's crazy is that I was wondering why FE8 wasn't on GBA online yet and then... bam. Here it is.

And as someone who really enjoyed FE7 but never played any other game in the series, I'm kinda hyped
Will say that 8 tends to be on the 'easy' side due to the Tower, which lets you grind pretty much every unit as much as you want. However, it's also got a pretty neat story so I like it.

I heard the gameplay is a bit more robust as well which sounds neat. Can't wait
Yeah, you're not locked into a specific class upon class changing. Iirc you're given 2 different classes which have different promotions.

IIRC it also introduces the "Trainee" units like Donnel was in Awakening. Weak as **** but they have good growths and have 3(? iirc) different class paths they can take.
