Smash Master
This weekend, several great tournaments are going down. If you're looking for some good Smash to watch you won't be disappointed - whether it's Melee, Brawl or PM you've got all your bases covered. Read on below to find a stream, grab some popcorn and have fun!
Low Tier City 2 - Irving, TX - August 16th-17th
Stream: Twitch.tv/VGBootCamp and Twitch.tv/TourneyLocator
Low Tier City 2 is a Project M and Melee tournament being held in Irving, Texas on August 16th-17th. And it has a $1000 pot bonus. To clarify, this is a standard tournament, not a gigantic Low Tiers event or anything like that. The region is just known for having many strong players who eschew the upper tiers in Project M. Feel free to hype up specific people in the comments!
The latest in a series of tournaments pitting P4K EMP | Mew2King against Wobbles, Low Tier City 2 will also feature the likes of Westballz, Sethlon (famous for his fantastic Roy in both Melee and PM), Rat, CT | ZeRo, Strong Bad, TheReflexWonder, and some of the best PM and Melee players Texas has to offer. Expect AG | Arc and GG | Mojo to take some names.
A full schedule can be found in the event's Smashboards thread, but in summary, Day 1 will start off at 11:00 AM CDT (12:00 PM EST and 9:00 AM PST) with Doubles for both games, then move onto Singles Pools before finishing PM and Melee Singles bracket up to Top 16. Day 2 will start at 12:30 PM CDT by finishing Singles until Top 8, then completing Doubles, followed by the conclusion of Melee Singles at 5:30 PM CDT and Project M Singles at 7:30 PM CDT.

Nick Carroll (AKA that guy miming a vomiting C9 | Mang0 in the documentary) has hosted other tournaments that don't bear his name, but Carroll Fests tend to be some of the biggest and most fun tournaments Pennsylvania has to offer. This one will include C9 | Mang0, VanZ, Juggleguy, Wife and Husband. Also, free food is included in the $10 venue fee.
The day will begin with a 4 vs. 4 crew battle at 11 AM EST, followed by Doubles, Singles pools, another crew battle pitting Michigan against Pittsburgh, then nothing but Melee Pro and Amateur brackets until the venue closes at 10:00 PM EST. The laid-back atmosphere of the series is evident even in the event schedule—where else would you find two crew battles during a one day tournament?

Billed as "possibly the last big Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament ever in Europe" by Twitch.tv's own weekly email newsletter, SUPER Brawl will actually feature Melee and Project M as well. Big names in attendance include Ice, Luma, Leon, Reaper and quiKsilver—no P4K EMP | Armada or Leffen, but a strong pool of multi-game talent nonetheless. Leon spent much of the summer in my own region of Toronto, Canada, and ended up at the top of our Brawl rankings before he left.
