It's not meaningless, it means that Toon Links Down Taunt is EPIC!
It also means that we need new Toon Link avatars.

YES. I picked my skeptical Toon Link to be unique, then I found out a lot of people are skeptical here.
I thought for a moment this would be some new advanced technique involving the random sword swinging that he does. Oh well.

The D-taunt is a referrance to the "beserk" state hes in when finishing a fully charged spin atk in WW, right?

Then it's a very distant reference. TL doens't spin, and he stops out of fatigue, unlike in WW (and PH if you will).

the only way the taunt would be better, if it did damage, like luigi's kick, or snake's box.

When WW Link (Toon Link) completes a fully charged spin attack he then becomes dizzy and starts to bobble around therefore vulnerable to attack. So... the taunt is like a refereance to that.
On another note. I LOVE the down taunt. Everytime I use it as my taunt I've got it set up so Toon Link is shouting "FOR FREEDOM!!!"

Same. It makes a jingle, so your opponent is like "Where'd that come from? Oh.. Toon Link." And they're reminded of how the just got owned :3

I prefer TL's side taunt. It's just so Awesome. That blank stare is just pwnage. lol
The down taunt is close behind though. If it were an actual move, it would do like, 25% damage. lol

I prefer the up-taunt, mostly because of the sound it makes when you use it.

It's fun to do the D-taunt and then S-Taunt right after that. I asigned words and he's like "DIE!!!" and then he's like, "...Where'd did you go?" Try it, its funny.

Hands down the best taunt in the game IMO. Hell it's the only taunt that actually made me laugh (save for Snake's hidden taunts though).

but no offense to toon link he always looks kinda special in everthing he does
his sides taunts when hes attacked, when hes standing their when hes USING THE EPIC DOWN TAUNT lol
but overall toon links taunts are just PWNAGE!!
