Yow, the price keeps climbing. The top floor is still worth it.

Maybe a higher venue fee is in order.

I'm doing the FA now with a couple other guys. You're gonna love it, Henrik.

Actually, so far it doesn't seem as bad as some of the EOM exercises were.

yo i can't make it today, but just letting you guys know i finish my finals on the 14th, and i'm staying on campus until the morning of the 17th. Also, sometime between the 5th and the 11th, we should have a study-break smash session.

my platinum controller finally broke and my orange is at home :( Thinking about getting another platinum. Not sure if I wanna commit to a white controller

Where can you find original GameCube controllers these days? I mean Nintendo ones, not third party ones, since Nintendo's actually last.
http://www.amazon.com/Official-Nint...IBAI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1322864892&sr=8-7

^normally $25, but amazon is out of stock at the moment. not sure if they'll get more. The white ones are the easiest to find nowadays.

^platinum, which i prefer probably only because I've been using one for 6 years.

You can also find the other colors from certain ebay sellers. Be careful on ebay though. Lots of fakes.

And the one Amazon's offering appears to cost ~$45.

Master Ppv: I recently purchased two controllers from the official Nintendo store (bertbusdriver's 2nd link). They're fantastic and most likely the cheapest ones out there. All the ones I've purchased from eBay are not fine enough to be used for Smash.
Hope this helps.

I am down for Smash Study Break (SSB). Anyone else?

Successful smashfest64 with Battlecow today. He destroyed and humiliated me multiple times with his Falcon. I have most of it recorded too.

Good stuff to Mark, Jason, and the roommate whose name I forget but whose DK's mighty fist will be forever burned into my mind

Y'all are surprisingly good for non-online players, Jason in particular was impressive with the rat, and I'm pretty sure Mark's gonna be shine-shieldbreaking me with that fancy techskill by our next session.

I'm up for melee (or 64) whenever, as always

I would love to play some melee with you (and then we can transition to 64). I think next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I'm free.

Also, his name was Jeremy.

I'm figuring on 70 people paying the venue fee? I don't really know. $7 would be cutting it close in that case, and there would be very little for the hosts. Might just make it $10.

Fee is usually waived for those who bring a TV that isn't small.

I can do wednesday. Tell me when!

My peach is... less sophisticated than my 64 falcon, if that were possible. But still highly effective :awesome:

setup + tv has been standard for venue fee waiver for a while. 10-15$ venue should be able to cover our costs. I could co-TO and help out with venue fee and deposit. When do we need to have the deposit and venue fee by?

I don't have a CRT TV here so wherever we can find one of those I guess. I'll try looking around; see if you can do the same. I'll PM you my number so we can communicate easier.

Well I'm sitting at 17 on the MLC PAK with 18 as the usual passmark, so looks like I won't have to worry about that for a while...
