I know you're reading this. Vote 2B.
2B is what I would like to call: a Pop-Model character, which is a term I created for character who are only popular for their.... well "Looks", yet their personality is usually bland, underdeveloped, or just bad.
you wot m8? now i'm gonna stop you right there.
ahem.

2B is far more than just popular for their looks. Yes, it's true, a lot of people no doubt like her for the sex appeal, but you can enjoy a character for more than just that. Many people who have actually played NieR agree that 2B is popular for more reasons than their looks, but it's because of the magnificent game she stars in as well. As for her personality... You have played NieR: Automata, correct? For those of you who haven't, please do not read further for I am about to drop major spoilers, but here it goes. 2B's personality isn't bland or underdeveloped in the least. She may not be the most emotional at first, but if you played the game long enough you'd realize why she was the way she is. She restrains her emotions for many reasons, and I don't mean because of the "emotions are prohibited" nonsense. She uses that as an excuse herself. 2B is meant to remain calm and collected most times, but only because she forces herself to. Why? Well, since I'm assuming you likely don't know, 9S and 2B have met several times before the events of NieR. They've been partners multiple times, but each and every time it ends the same way: 2B is forced to assassinate 9S at the orders of the Commander. 2B isn't her real name, it's 2E. Her job is to hunt down and kill androids that go rogue. Because 9S's curiosity and intelligence transcends that of every android, he always finds out the truth about YoRHa one way or another. Because of this, 2E is partnered with 9S under the alias of 2B, ordered to assassinate him every single time he discovers the truth. Each time hurt more than the last. In one of 9S's previous "lives", 2B freely called him Nines, she was more open and emotional with him. She ended up killing him then after things went down differently than usual, and forced herself to prohibit herself from showing emotion in an attempt to not get attached to 9S so it wouldn't hurt her as much the next time she was forced to kill him. You see this almost all throughout NieR. The times she lets her emotions/true self shine through are when things seem the worst for them. Having to kill 9S upon being infected by strangling him, when she seems to be at her end and leaves a message behind for 9S, etc. You learn throughout the story of NieR as well why it was she behaved the way she did; 2B forcibly restrained her emotions in hopes that she wouldn't get attached to 9S, and 9S wouldn't get attached to her. Of course, in the end, they still got too close to each other. This is one of the things 2B hints at right at the start of NieR, with being trapped in a neverending spiral of life and death. Being constantly forced to murder 9S again, and again, and again. You can claim her personality is bland or bad, sure, as it is subjective (even if I have to disagree). However, calling it underdeveloped of all things would certainly be a mistake. Outside of NieR, 2B certainly is mostly popular due to her looks, but to everyone who has actually played the game, she's certainly popular and resonates with them for more than just a pretty face and the way she looks after self-destruct.
But if it's her looks you're upset about, blame the designers. They wanted it, and Yoko Taro said "if you're gonna do that, then you better damn well make sure you make it the best one out there or else you're fired." Troll feeding aside, I actually do feel like talking about something else.

You know what’s funny about Smash Bros?

It’s probably the only fighting game series in the world where people legitimately show concern about what characters are getting in.

In other fighting games like MvC, Tekken, MK, DBZ, Naruto etc, nobody really has to worry about deconfirmations such as Assist Trophies, backgrounds, bosses, and what not.

They’re either in the roster or not in the game at all, it that’s simple.

But with Smash, potential requested characters are capable of given non-playable roles instead of being fighters like the players desire.

Just an interesting thought.

Still doesn't change the fact that he should have been an assist Trophy, that he's a waste of DLC space, and that the price for this asshole should not be placed at 15 dollars (Let alone 31 freaking dollars for one lousy fighter pack!

And that's price he'll be after the free for a short time thing is done with!

Also! We didn't need more freaking Mario character (Really wish Nintendo would stop acting like Mario is the only franchise they have at their disposalfor Heaven's beautiful sake!

Being the biggest and most successful crossover in videogame history kinda helps. Especially when getting a slot in the roster gives franchises an automatic popularity boost.

I'd assume because he isn't a fan requested Square Enix pick, like Geno or Sora

When I said "this guy", i was referring to the troll you were replying to
Ooooh okay. So they hate on him because he's not a super popular character in America like the ones you mentioned (though I think Sora is much more popular than Geno amongst the general videogame community). They hate and dismiss things they don't know. Seems a little bit closed-minded to me. Everyone hates on characters they don't want until said character gets in the game, then they say, "Oh okay it actually makes sense now" and move on to the next potential character. I for one am gonna keep supporting Erdrick until he is either in the game or a different SE character gets in, whichever comes first, and I think everyone else who supports their own character should do the same (even though I think certain SE characters have basically zero chance)

I never understood the sex appeal for 2B. I mean, to each their own, but for me personally, I just don't see it.

Show of hands!

How many here think that Sakurai should scarp the DLC garabge (The Fighter pass consisting of Steve, Piranah Plant, A Medieval Goku Cosplayer From Dragon Quest, and The Joker) and just leave the game alone (Knowing how much of a colossal garbage fire Ultimate is) before the crappy DLC is released!
I'd really love to know why you have to be told so many times that Piranha Plant isn't part of the Fighter Pass. Like if it wasn't rude, I'd ask if you have dementia or something, it's absolutely ridiculous.

Why is it that he refuses to use Erdrick's name? Like, he named all the other dlc and potential dlc characters, but refers to Erdrick as a Goku-ripoff. Why? Just... why? Is Erdrick not good enough to be mentioned by name?

Then who is part of the pass (Aside from The Joker, Steve, And Medieval Goku Cosplayer from Dragon Quest)??

It would make my night wonderful if you could give me some decent insight as to what that ******** pass contains that's worth me investing a crap ton of money into getting a switch, a copy of Ultimate, and the fighter pass itself (Along with the stupid paid online service)!!

Also Kuon! I can't remember Edrick's name (He's that forgettable in terms of a video game protagonist!

He's right!

...So, like, am I different like Dark Samus, or am I a Richter kinda deal?
You are a uniqe, top of the line Echo that was originally meant to be a part of a super secret government plan ran by Inklings to take over the world! Noipoi Noipoi was the best of the project, but he defected, destroying the original testing grounds and slaughtering hundreds of his own former brethren! And when it was all said and done, he mysteriously vanished saying, and I quote, "I'm going to become one with the dragons!", and was never seen again.

After that incident, the government created a cloning project filled of replica Noipoi Noipoi 's. Naturally, of the 5 hundred million specimens, you were the alpha selection. But, after their plan of world domination was leaked to the whole wide world by some nerd name on GameFaqs, the government shut the project down, killing all of the clones, and wiping away your memory so you would never be suspected.

You, Wario, are the Omega Noipoi. Also a really cool guy and don't take this seriously at all please and thank you.

I dunno what to say about that... When it comes to animated characters, I care about how the character looks in the face...and that's about it.

I know I should’ve expected some meme answers, but I’d appreciate at least one actual suggestion for what I posted earlier here:
Just something I thought up while I was at work, so imagine if a live-action Pokémon movie like Detective Pikachu used human characters from the games like Red, Blie, Giovanni, Cynthia, N, etc. Who do you guys think would be good casting choices for characters like these?
