Alright, I think the coast is relatively clear.

Anyways, even though the list isn't finished, I'm gonna give the honorable mentions of my Top 10 Anime List. These are anime I enjoy, but didn't quite crack the top 10 for one reason or another. Since there's a lot, I'll only be giving a couple of reasons. Also, the openings will only be links, since too many embeds are cancer.

Ouran High School Host Club
It came THIS close to making the Top 10. It would've made it as the secret #11 if it weren't for the new #10 pushing the old one to #11. Despite Squid Girl being the first anime I watched, I consider the first real anime I watched, if that makes any sense. Ouran is a clever subversion of common romcom tropes, specifically the harem, yet it also tells a poignant romance with a memorable cast. Unfortunately, it only got one season. I sincerely hope it gets the Fruits Basket treatment, where a new team tackles a full adaptation now that it's finished. Fun fact, but each character has a theme song with lyrics. Early 2000s anime was truly the wild west...

Squid Girl
The first anime I ever watched, and what an anime. Squid Girl tells a captivating slice of life story about Squid Girl, a being from the sea intent on taking over the world. Except, she's an absolute klutz and ends up in debt to a beach shop. Many hijinks ensue. Similar to Ouran, it came close, with the only reason being that I like the other anime on the list more. Regardless, Squid Girl holds a special place in my heart.

Persona 4 the Animation
I've watched my fair share of video game anime adaptations, but out of all of them Persona 4 the Animation is the best. It manages to adapt Persona 4 incredibly well, and even adds a bit of its own to make it unique. They also do a great job giving Yu a personality since they went with all the craziest choices for his dialogue and went based off of that. You end up with wacky scenes like this because of it, so it's a good time.

Sword Art Online Alternative
NO. THIS IS NOT SWORD ART ONLINE. It's a spinoff written by another writer, and it's surprisingly good. The writer really knows what they're doing, and they tell a pretty good story. It's not without it's faults though, as it can be pretty hammy at times.

Kill la Kill
The show. Is fun. The skimpy clothes and gratuitous fanservice can get overbearing at times, but Kill la Kill is so incredibly ridiculous that it somehow works out.

Fruits Basket (OG and 2019)
A nice romantic comedy. Pretty standard, but you know what? It works. I'm really glad it's being remade since the original is incredibly nostalgic for me. The remake is great so far too, so hopefully things keep up.

Seven Deadly Sins
Pretty standard shonen, but not without glimpses of genius, whether it be subverting a trope, telling a surprisingly deep backstory for a character, etc.

Fairy Tail
I feel obligated to put this here since it isn't trash tier. At the same time, it is absolutely standard shonen fare. Natsu is overpowered as [REDACTED] and nakama-power trumps everything. Some arcs are pretty good, but most aren't. Also, the show took a massive hit in terms of animation between the original and 2014 onwards.

I'll include Trash Tier too, since together the two equal one review. These are anime that are either bad, or that I'm ashamed to have watched. Little to nobody knows I've watched these, so enjoy a firsthand view of my regret.

Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts
Here's a fun fact: I watched this show with my Dad. Yeah.

Anyways, this show is a trip. If there's a trope in harem anime, this show has it. It's also anime as hell. Like, if I had to describe the typical anime, this is what I'd use, and I'm ashamed of that.

My Bride is a Mermaid
I don't even know how I ended up watching this one. Anyways, it's generic harem fare. It's not particularly bad, but if you're looking for a harem show though, there are plenty of better options.

Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online has only ever spawned two good things. Some great J-Pop Jams, and an amazing abridged series. The animation is good in parts, but the series as a whole is overhyped. The first 13 episodes are good, if not clichéd in parts, but it does some interesting things, especially with the two main characters getting together during the story instead of after T̶̛̮͖̪̃́̄̚W̵̩̯̺͗͜O̵̥̪̾̎̇̄̏ ̸̦̓̓͐͝Ỳ̵̫͆̃̄Ĕ̷̫̪̙͕̤̑͋͊̄A̴̺̓͑́͘͠Ŗ̸͔̜͓͚̍S̴̨̻̬̯͙̐̿̈͗ ̴̘͈͉̌͛̐͒͝W̸̢̨̦̯͛́̈́́̏Ō̶̗̲̔̈R̴͎̋͘T̶̮̳̏̒̍H̷͍̗̝̙̯̀̆ ̷̖͎̦̫͒͐͜͝O̷̭͈̺͂̀̐͒͆F̷̲͖͒͐͝ ̶̭̣̠͈̂͜[̵̝́͆̀̒͜R̴̲̻͇̳̱͑͒̈́̊E̴͙̬͛̍D̴̛͈̱̹̍̌͂̏À̶̧̻̹̬̆͗C̶̛̫͍̩̆̅̋͝T̵̩͔͕̂E̴͙̟̞͌͑̑́̈́D̸͙͎̄̕͝]̴̱̒̂̾̎ ̸̥̱͐G̶̠̠̉̈͑͘L̷̨̗̈́́̉̕O̶̯͔͈̽̊̈́͘̕P̶̹̰̪̩̂͒͝P̶̢̽͆̇Ȇ̴̡̧̦͈D̸̘̥͖̱̏̀͋̈͠ͅ. However, Reki Kowabunga's early writing is bad, if not outright offensive at times, and it gets to a point where it becomes too much. I managed to hold on much longer than most, but even I couldn't continue watching after he used the good old [REDACTED] for Drama trope not just once, not just twice, not just three times, but four times. That's too much. Supposedly his writing gets better after Alicization (where the anime currently is), but until then I'm done with this show.

But seriously, go watch the abridged series because it's better than the actual show.

While not great shows, nor ones I'd talk about unless prompted (and maybe a bit drunk), I don't really regret watching them. These next two...yeah I absolutely regret watching them.

Oreimo/Eromanga Sensei
Before y'all call the FBI, let me roast the **** out of these shows.

If you're in the anime community you might've heard about these shows before. You know why. They're both written by the same author, and they're both known for similar [REDACTED] occurring in their plots. I seriously watched Oreimo, but I thankfully watched Eromanga Sensei with a thick layer of ironic skepticism to protect me from the [REDACTED]. Both are worse than standard harem trash, as if it was even possible. I didn't even want to watch Eromanga Sensei after the shame of watching Oreimo consumed me, but after watching people meme on it I decided to jump back in. For the memes. But like.

  • A.) WHY IS THE LITTLE SISTER EVEN IN THE HAREM?
  • B.) WHY IS THE LITTLE SISTER THE ONE WHO WINS WHEN THERE ARE BETTER CHARACTERS WHO AREN'T THE PROTAGONIST'S LITTLE SISTER?
  • C.) WHY IN THE ABSOLUTE [REDACTED] DO THE BROTHER AND SISTER GET MARRIED IN OREIMO?
  • D.) WHY IS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN IN EROMANGA SENSEI?
  • E). WHY DID I HAVE GARBAGE TASTE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL???

God someone is going to look through this account and stumble upon this one post of them all and see this I swear I have good taste.

Where the party is at!
Coming? It's already here! <_>

I'm actually debating on whether or not to dip out for a couple weeks. Let you all chill out.

Might camp over at the disco or something. Idk.
In a way, how I see it is that there's gonna be tons of new people coming aboard during E3 time.

Some will be hot memesters, some will just be regular posters. Imagine all the new people coming aboard the site's most active part and to see some of the stuff that went down leading up to E3?

Wait **** there's gonna be that guy who'll be like the rest and say "I don't care about everything in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that makes it amazing I have to look at Pyra" SON OF A *****

I've been thinking it over, and I feel like all of us might need this today.

There's no deeper meaning it's just a spoonful of sugar in audio form.

In more lighthearted news, I'm making a bit more progress on my Starforce Mega Man moveset. The Final Smash, Specials, Jab, and Tilts are taken care of. Most of his air moves are too, except N-Air, since he uses the Buster as a Special move.
