doesn't chrono trigger have a super terrible remaster or am i thinking of old final fantasy

Original Steam port was a literal port of the mobile version and same UI, they have fixed the issues somewhat.

I fixed the final roster due to missing a couple big IPs and Japanese gaming companies:

Now all is right with the world. This feels like the definitive roster now. Now, how would you react if this was the final roster?

Its nice in general, dunno about Tom Nook really and would just change Leon for Jill to give 3rd parties a bit more variety.

Which should I play next - Okami or Final Fantasy 7? For Okami, the game seems to be building towards Ammy meeting Queen Himiko or Rao, and I'm about 14 hours in. For Final Fantasy 7, I'm heading north to meet Sephiroth after the big spoiler that everybody knows about.

I know that both of them are great games, but I find that generally speaking, I can only focus on one game at a time.

FFVII. I mean, I never played Okami and couldn't get far in VII, cause the opening area wasn't fun for me and just confused me. I hate being thrown into deadly battles immediately without actually some tutorial or a bit of down time to prepare myself. But the game is very solid, and I played at least some of it. All I remember is it had at least some mini-games that didn't control that greatly. As well as one boss where your "tips" in-game are a bit off. First one too. I think it was to do the opposite of what they suggest?

If it was up to me I’d put in both Elma and Rex but if I had to chose, Rex and Pyra/Mythra appeal to me more on the basis of interesting moveset potential

Yeah, it was a translation flub for that scorpion boss. With any luck that issue will be avoided for the remake...

I'll be fair on that; that's still a better translation. I mean, was it wrong? It's grammatically incorrect, but it's still correct.

Which is what I prefer for translations.

Another game that I'm not sure if it was made in Japan first or not is Quest RPG: Brian's Journey. It has a ton of Engrish. I know Quest 64 was first made in Japan and then translated overall. The final Japanese release was an updated version(with changes akin to Master Quest, though these are more major improvements on it instead of dungeon changes. ...I would've liked a better Blue Cave).
