So yeah...
This thread is full of stupidity.
Have you ever been really good at a sport like football or something, and had someone who plays videogame sports titles or watches on tv talk to you like they know better than you, who actually practice and work hard in a field where the things they are trying be all know it all about really matter?
You see the thing here is... CASUAL SMASHERS have no place in this thread. This is about the COMPETITIVE SCENE and how it effects TOURNAMENTS WITH LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY ON THE LINE.
Now, if you are unable to understand that, your intelligence comes into question. Simply put:
IF YOU ARE A CASUAL SMASHER, THIS PROBLEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU! THEREFORE, YOUR POINTLESS INPUT IS NOT NEEDED AND IS JUST SPAM.
Thank you.
Quoted for emphasize. People need to listen to this man.
I can see the reason to the whole get over it thing, since we can’t do anything about it.
But, to the people trying to pull off the crap that randomly tripping is anything but, a
bad addition to a fighting game…
Learn to only comment on something you know about.
Tripping isn’t tactical, it’s not something you can plan on, it’s not possible to predict.
It’s something that’s random, unavoidable , and can cost you a stock. Thats a problem.
Even if the chance is low (so was doing a attack right as a exploding capsule spawned in front of you but, we still got rid of that).
Now, using certain moves that has a chance of causing tripping, that’s another story.
But, having a chance to randomly trip just cause you dashed?
Sure you
can stay in the air more but, that’s just another limiter for players.
How exactly is limiting players a good thing for the competitive scene of a game?
Better yet, what does even tripping add?
