Hey, I'm Vourdeox and I'm here to cram my high quality, painstakingly crafted textures into your Melee. I have been a lurker for a long time, a silent watcher-over-er. I think it's about time I put something back into the community that I have come to love and be a part of myself.

Some of you might say that I work on the presentation more than I do my actual textures, and to you I say "Work on your presentation." I find joy in taking the time out of my day to not make a terrible mess of something, and so should you.

Fox/Falco: Improved Dark Purple Firefox/Firebird​
I took it upon myself to fix something that was bugging me with the Dark purple firefox/firebird modification. I noticed that the firefox flame texture was jagged and lacked the transparency the original had. I can tell that this was a mistake in how the texture was edited, so I took the original texture and edited the hue in photoshop to match the purple colour theme. This resulted in a much cleaner texture more in line with the look of the original.

Here's a before and after comparison:

Tested on dolphin and console.

Kind of an odd first post, but I guess something had to bring me out of lurking. I'm hoping to get more into melee modding as it seems really fun. Hopefully this is appreciated.

Link: Pastel Spin Attack​
I haven't seen many Link mods knocking around here so I thought I'd bring a little love to Link's Up-B, Spin Attack. Apart from the main texture, I decided to learn how to hex edit .dat files so I could change the colour of the trail particle at the end of Link's sword. Expect more mods of this type from now on.

If anyone can point me toward the offset for the other large texture, I will be eternally grateful, as I wish to make a 2.0 version that will involve editing that.



Marth: Sword Swing Colours​

TRON Sword Trails
While experimenting with hex values, I found out that you can alter the transparency for the sword trail at two points, the start of the trail (Blade) and the end (part of the trail that fades out first). I made both parts opaque, giving me this strange effect that reminds me of TRON. So I made these, enjoy!

Jigglypuff: Sing Note Textures​
Jigglypuff's sing is seldom used, but I will provide for those that appreciate the musical perfection of her Up-B.

Would you be able to make the Fox up-B purple at the top as well (overall more of a "bright Violet" if possible). Also would a pink side-B be possible?
