What if SSBB:Subspace Emissary could be Tv-show/anime?

What it would be if SSBB:Subspace Emissary was a Tv-how or Anime?
It might be a mixture of all of the Nintendo-tvshows/animes with many ideal things from SSBB, with the story following the Subspace Emissarys, but with more animeish appearance, like more events (or more happening to cutscenes in Subspace Emissary), Nintendoish humor, and as well as, Smash, Smash and Smash.

So,what do you think about this idea?

but a pig in the sun
it wouldn't work.

The SSE storyline was just an excuse to pump out countless boring and repetitive levels, and it definitely doesn't help that said storyline makes about as much sense as the plot to Sin & Punishment, the last 2 episodes of Evangelion, and the ending to a 2001: a space Oddesey combined.(except, those were confusing in a good way, but the SSE was just confusing in a ******** way.)

If they were to make a smash TV show, they should either make a LOT of changes, or just have an entirely different plot altogether.

Well, just what i thought. Story when in-game (SSE) \iss really confusing, but some of it's things are just good enough to make good plot, like personalities of characters and cutscenes. Maybe if they would take out those 'confusing' things, (Stages, perhaps) it could make something..
The whole tv-show might start in episode, called 'SuperStar Battle'. It happens in Tourney, where almost all of the residents of Nintendoversum had gathered, for 'Tourney of SSBB: Play It With Smash Power!'...
Wanna hear more? I have plenty of ideas.

It's not like you actually have something to do.
It's just another show you can make fun of, and/or enjoy.

It would be good, you just need very creative people on the staff.
If I were on it, there would be much wavedashing and l-canceling during the final episode.
It would keep even Ken on the edge of his seat.
And the title would be Fox vs. Ike.
Ike seems like a good main character, in that he fights for his friends and such.

Have you seen what happens when Nintendo games become animes?????!!!!!!!??!

Thats an example of it.

Normally I'm fine with stuff like that, but this is just wrong wrong wrong wron
That's not an anime. That's an American cartoon from the 80's when Zelda was still a very new franchise and things tended to get butchered in cartoon adaptations. See the Megaman cartoon or especially Captain N for other examples.

4kids would create it, give everyone horrible voice acting (Sonic), and delete all forms of death....

If you think about it, being "turned into a trophy" is already an evasion of "death," much like "going to the Shadow Realm" in Yu-Gi-Oh!

I'm guessing the thread starter liked the Kirby anime?

My fav. episode in Hoshi No Kaabii ( Kirby of the Stars):

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC_vYC6vNkM
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc1IZjYUg6Q&feature=related
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zY-UJCVrUM&feature=related
Yup.. I'm Kirby-fan, but i'm suck in watching Hoshi No Kaabii...
I just like games more.

SMASH SHOULD NOT BE ANIME.

IT SHOULD BE A REAL LIFE MOVIE.

Super Mario (Super Show, 3 and World), Zelda were just 80-tvshows... has this been told before?

That's, Nintendoish. Being turned to throphy, is muchly like a death.. Good one.

It wouldnt be very entertaining because for one none of the characters even talk.
Maybe if they changed a little here and there it could be cool I guess but I still wouldnt watch it.
Let's make them talk, after all, half of them, (Especially Mario,Zelda and Fire Emblem characters) can talk.. We have to just find good voice actors for them..

Isn't there an Animal Crossing anime in Japan? I don't see how this can work, but if there was an Animal Crossing anime, I'm sure it's somewhat possible...

Hmm. I could see the Subspace Emissary as more of a movie, but... a TV Show, yes. Anime? I don't know. I mean, sure, most of the characters could be turned anime... but it just wouldn't feel right. I'd prefer TV Show, as at least that would have a chance at them retaining their 3-D selves.

I'd definitely watch it. There's just something about the SSE storyline that I absolutely love... Perhaps it's the combining of dozens of characters I've known and loved throughout my childhood, in a darker-than-your-average-Nintendo-plot kind of plot? It's a shame they couldn't impliment death (as that is against "Nintendo's style")... but, hey. So long as I get something like SSE, I'd be fine. Just... work on fixing the plot, as I wouldn't want to watch repetitive Dragonball Z-type battles over and over again, episode after episode.

It has the potential to be a very good short series IMO. It could be something like the Secret Wars from Marvel comics.

I didn't read the comics but I loved the adaptation on the 90's spiderman cartoon.

Spiderman is transported to a planet and has to choose and lead a group of Super Heros against a group of villains.

Or it could be like the comic series DC came out with, Infinite Crisis, which I did read. Where separate DC universes combined and collided to save the multiverse from being destroyed.

Reasons against it

1: I hate animes now
2: I would find it embarrassing to watch
3: The SSE was meant to be a playable subgame, not a movie.
4: It would be weird to see many of the characters talk in English for the first time. Namely Mario, Link, Samus, Most of the Legend of Zelda Series characters, and Dedede. Kirby will still be mute, because Sakurai made him mute.
5: Sakurai made the game without lines to not contradict people's view of the characters.

I think if they did that, it would turn out extremely kiddy and repetitive. I mean, they'd have cheesy 2D animation, bad voice actors undoubtedly, and to make it work the storyline would probably be even more screwed up. It would end up being annoyingly stupid and pointless... I'm sure they'd have a lot of the characters talking fluently and often (Pokemon Trainer, Mario, etc.), but some would probably remain mute, like Olimar and the Ice Climbers. At least, I can't imagine Olimar and ICs talking, and I really don't want to.

I would watch it the same way I used to watch Pokemon: to make fun of it. I can imagine the script... "Oh noes! -insert character here- got turned into a trophy! What are we going to do?! Wait! I can touch the trophy and make him come back to life! Yay!" Bleh. That would definately be too annoying to watch.

You took all that words from my... mind? I'm not good expressing my thought to words..
But still, that's just same what i thought. I always wanted for SSB-series having their own story, and in that day when Sakurai did update about Subspace Emissary, i was overjoyed.

That's why I NEVER EVER want to watch Pokemon Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back.
I'ts becomes just that kiddy when lookin that part when Pikachu (and other pokemons) 'cries' Ash back to life. The most kiddiest thig that Pokemon had in their time..
Talking about that part where Mario makes Kirby go back to life, they could change script a bit, including Smash Ball, this time made by the Subspace Army:

Battle continues between Mario and Kirby, but now camera moves into Halberd, floating really high above the Tourney. Camera moves into window, where darkness fills it, only two red eyes looking at battle...
?: Petey, drop the Smash Ball.
Petey presses a button, and from below in Halberd, Smash Ball drops down, into the battle.
Mario hits it by accident, and then wierds darkness floats around him, turning into enormous fire after sometime.
Mario starts to charge his Final Smash (But being possessed by its dark power), but it collects all the fire and flame from nearby... Kirby gets shocked a bit, while Peach is wondering and same time worried.Zelda only could sense the darkness around Mario, but couldn't tell what it is.
And just then...

Mario: MARIO FINAL!
He fires his Final Smash to Kirby, and yep, as you could know.. he dies.

Continuing.. Im going put up that script to change that 'Kiddy Reviving Mario'-scene..
