Smash Ace
I saw the thread with the best uses for Golden Hammers, and decided this needed more publicity so that all of the poor souls reading that thread won't waste the hammers on something easy. It really makes me sad when people need to restart their records just so they can get their hammers back.
- Classic mode on Intense: Same reason as All-Star on Intense, except classic is far easier.
- Endure 15 Minute Brawl: With the right strategy, this is easy. Take Jigglypuff, grab a ledge. Then, drop down, and fly to the other ledge under the stage. You can do this in 3 jumps, and Jigglypuff has 5 jumps so there is room for error. If no Alloys are near your edge, hold on to it for a few seconds (but not too long) to reduce the risk.
- 10 KOs in Cruel Brawl: This uses the same strategy as the 15 minutes Brawl with Jigglypuff. Fly under the stage, and EVENTUALLY, some will jump off to attack you and suicide. If they aren't, try flying away from the stage until they jump off, and THEN fly to the other edge. Still doable in 3 jumps.
- 100 Hours of Brawl: Don't waste a hammer on something time-consuming. This just requires a few nights of keeping your Wii on in a 1-stock infinite time match. You could also get some time in with CD-Factory. ALSO, plug in some extra controllers. 4 controllers would make this only 25 hours instead of 100. If you're worried about overheating, put the Wii on its stand, let it out in the open, and put some fans around it.
- 2000+ KOs: Not hard at all. Do some sudden death matches or something. Just DON'T WASTE YOUR HAMMER!
- Any target test speed: These aren't hard either. If you're really having trouble, look up some videos where they beat the time by 10 seconds. You can do it without 10 seconds of error, right? If you need it, I'll send you some replays of my records which absolutely destroy the challenges with ease. It just takes some patience.
- Event matches on hard: There's only three, if I remember correctly; the Dark Link Duel, the Advent of the Evil King, and the Wolf Hunts the Fox.
The Dark Link Duel is a stamina match; keep trying until you get a hammer or smash ball and you'll beat it quick.
Advent of the Evil King is harder, in my opinion. I found it easiest to run away, actually. This allows for a one on one, instead of one on three (because Pit usually catches up first, then Zelda, then Link). Just spam some smashes and they'll die off.
The Wolf Hunts the Fox...this was easy to me, because I main Wolf. I just suggest spamming Wolf's forward smash and don't get surrounded. Reflect any items thrown at you.
- All of them?: Feel free to do every challenge. There's nothing better than a finished challenge board with 5 Golden Hammers still proudly glistening on the bottom.
- 100-Man Brawl with all characters: Not only is this time-consuming, it's also a litte challenging. Some characters just aren't fit for 100-Man Brawl.
- All-Star with all characters: Though I'm usually against non-challenging time-consuming challenges, this will easily take several hours of your time.
- All Stickers / trophies: This is just pretty tough. 700 stickers and over 500 trophies. Even worse, this includes character trophies. If you broke All-Star with all characters, then you will need to break this, because the trophies from each solo mode are necessary.
Have fun doing those challenges! ^.^
WHAT NOT TO USE THE HAMMERS ON
- All-Star on Intense: Seriously, you get as many continues as you want. Load up on a few thousand coins and roll through it. At the end, you do have to fight 6 pokemon in a row (because people in a series are all in one match) which is rather difficult, but a few continues and some lucky items later, you're set.- Classic mode on Intense: Same reason as All-Star on Intense, except classic is far easier.

SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO USE THEM FOR
These are just suggestions for perfectly reasonable uses, but that doesn't mean you HAVE TO USE THEM! These are challenges that should be left ignored. When there are 5 unfinished challenges left, you can hammer away at this if you wish.- 100-Man Brawl with all characters: Not only is this time-consuming, it's also a litte challenging. Some characters just aren't fit for 100-Man Brawl.
