Does "none" count as "other"?

I'm not atheist or agnostic, though. I believe in a greater harmony, a transcendent purpose to all things - I just don't believe in appropriating it with name or ritual. To each their own, of course: I have my beliefs, you have yours, and what a fine ol' world it is to share them in.

Roman Catholic here!

I personally do not take religion into account of what makes a good person. Instead, I just look at a person's morals and decide if that person is good or bad.

I'm not sure if this counts or not, but my mother forced me to go to this Christian (Or was it Catholic? I honestly don't know the difference.) school for about an hour or two for years. Of course, now, I'm as free as America. ...Well, not entirely. But you get the point; I don't know what religion I am. I don't even think I have one. So that's why I chose "other".

Also a Roman Catholic but I never understand conflicts about religion it seems such a small thing to fight for. We should all just judge people on how they behave etc, instead of religion.

I agree completely, and there's actually a verse in the Bible (Matthew 7) that talks about how you should not judge others, as you will be judged in the same way if you do.

I think that if there is some god or higher power or whatever you want to call it, he/she/it hasn't made contact with any person ever to have lived (unless it saw the rest of us and thought "these guys are idiots, I'm going to go and hang with the cool-looking tribe in the Amazon rainforest that these fools don't know exists"), and also lacks at least one of the three qualities usually assigned to the Abrahamic god (the one most people here will probably be familiar with) - omnibenevolence, omnipotence, and omniscience (in other words, I don't see any possible answer to the problem of evil). Personally, I lean more on the side that such a being doesn't exist (and I don't think I ever did truly believe, despite being raised by Catholics, and going to Catholic schools for 13 years), so for this question I fall under "none".

Our God Sakurai has been a fickle one.

In all seriousness I don't really follow a religion, I'm more agnostic. Nature and the Universe are random, there is a beauty in having a finite time on this Earth and not relying on anything else but yourself and others in reality. I don't understand the obsession with the after life either, enjoy what you have now the world is already beautiful and mysterious enough.

I'm also most fascinated with Greek Mythology and their deities. I actually think they made the most sense (having multiple Gods/Godesses, each with a job/responsibility, all actually human like in behavior, having to sacrifice something when people selfishly asked for divine intervention/assistance) and most of the stories were a blueprint to modern religions.

Agnostic theist. I figure we probably won't ever know what lies beyond this life until we get there, so I try not to undermine any religious beliefs or opinions. None of us really got any say as to who's right or wrong, so I figure we should just let people live the way they wanna live.

I'm rather apathetic about religion in general. It's an antiquated social construct that has little bearing on how society functions in this day and age. If you wanna believe in a faith, power to ya. I have no problems until oppression and violence come into play, but I know that's not as common as the internet would have you believe.

I don't care for religion. Some are blind followers. Some follow, but know humans are not perfect, also the bible was written by man. And man is not perfect.

I should add that, while the dogma of religion does not appeal to me, the philosophy is fascinating. I've read the Bible, I've read Homer, I've studied the Quran, the Torah, the Bhagavad Gita and the teachings of Buddha, Confucius, Jesus and Abraham, I've read Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Augustine and Aquinas, I studied Religious Education for six years in secondary school and I have thought long and hard about What It All Means.

Even if I don't believe in it myself, it's good practice to inform oneself. At least understand what it is you don't agree with and know why you feel as you do.

Oh, I also grew up Catholic, but I never really felt a connection to it. My family is very secular and I adopted that lifestyle after a while.

In my opinion, religious books and such are books on philosophy. It is really just a collection of rules to follow in life like Never sin etc. I was once Christian, but that's because I never knew what else could be plausible. Nowadays I just don't care for it. Religion also focuses on some higher being(s) that either love everyone or hate everyone, but if that were the case, people wouldn't be starving, or living in harsh conditions.

My user says Buddhist.
My heart says Christian.
Buddhism can also be a lifestyle. Buddhist rituals are actually really interesting. My good friend is a buddhist, and the things he does for it are really cool.

As for myself, I'm agnostic. I definitely think something's out there.

I don't believe in anything, my idea is that after death there is nothing more but the memories you left behind.

Well those and the physical creative legacy you left behind such as videos, music, art, books, anything on the internet, etc.

Can I say Psychedelics? Its very interesting to see your version of reality (consciousness being projected). Without the usual survival mechanisms in place that filter out all the reality or information your brain deems unnecessary (like light and energy from the more extreme sides of the spectrum) and brings the whole of your mind conscious, subconscious, and unconscious to the forefront of your human experience completely unfiltered. Which can be scary. Wouldn't call drugs a religion although their the only drugs used religiously and seriously within actual religions. South Americans and their DMT (ayahuasca use comes to mind).

Also quick humble brag. Became an actual god (of the 7th dimension) during a psychedelic trip in a 5 senses way. Meaning my sight, touch, smell, sight, and hearing were so engulfed in the experience (i.e. drugs tricking your brain). That I became a literal god for a time in my mind because it felt so real. Coolest thing ever. Hows that for religious experience. Your all plebeians and mortals.

I'm on the fence between being a Theist and a Non-Theist I guess. I don't deny the existence of a God potentially existing but at the same time i'm not really fond of most organized religions.

Agnostic, I guess. There might be something out there, but I don't know what it is, we'll probably never know for sure what it is, assuming it even exists in the first place, so I go on living my life free of spirituality and I'm okay with that.

Agnostic. I don't really care too much but if there's something out there then I'll find it whenever.

I'm agnostic. I don't believe in anything, but I do believe that there's a possibility for something to be out there. Who knows, maybe the flying spaghetti monster is out god. =3= In all seriousness, though, someone could probably convince me to join a religion if they used enough logic.

I'm a Buddhist. I occasionally go to Asian temples to pay my respects on special occasions like New Years or passed away relative's death anniversary. We also own our own little shrine at home where I burn incense daily as a ritual.
