what would happen to Pt on norfair

@COURTE; I believe thats a method of transportation to protect himself from the hazard(s); Alakazam= Forcefield, teleportation. Lapras=Surfing, wait...ice sliding, Pidgeot=Flight, airborne.

This is Red. He's not gonna use Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh pokemon. And out of all the Kanto-native pokemon, those three are the best matches for those tasks.

if you really look at the stage, it does seem like there are a few areas where he could go and not be burned.

Granted they may be a bit far away... But they can always give him a megaphone

That sounds like the most likely option for most of the hazards/flying levels (or some upgraded version). Again, I say most, I think Sakurai will still send a few curve balls regardless.

He will probably ride a Pokemon, I haven't ever played Pokemon Snap so I can't say anything about Zero-One.

Mew will come out, use barrier and return to his pokeball state.

He has a variety of entrances, if its somethings like Rumble Falls he spawns riding a Pidgeot, if theres water he spawns on a Lapras, and if its Norfair or something it will be something that can Protect himself like Mew, or Alakazam as someone suggested.

I've been thinking that in delfino plaza, he stays in the middle of the town. That way he's about an equal distance each time you fly.

I suppose this is one of the reasons why he wasn't in the demo. Nintendo is working the mechanics of PT like this, Rumble Falls, or pratically any stage that changes during the battle.

Heck yeah, you'd think it'd melt due to the intense heat in Norfair. And in Delfino Plaza.

"Breaking news! A gigantic iceberg has appeared out of nowhere from within the middle of the town's warm waterways!"

But this is Smash Brothers we're talking about, so you can always expect things to be more then a little messed up.

You never know, the iceberg itself might be cold enough to freeze both white-hot lava AND warm tropical seas.
