Who do you think would be a better team-mate of marth when playing 2v2?

Could it be someone who will build damage easy such as MK or someone who kos well such as ike?

pls discuss

I'd say Mario, or King DeDeDe would good teammates for Marth. Mario helps a lot with spacing and his fireballs are good spammable projectiles. King DeDeDe is simply a powerhouse with a good spammable projectile as well.

Ike is a good partner as he is more powerful and has "more chance" of landing the Ragnell swings. Although the soul weakness is versus projectiles.

Definitely the latter - Marth is great at spacing and racking up damage, but lacks the swift multiple KO ability of a character like Ike.

Directly above you tipping a dair.
I think wolf is a good partner for marth because he handles the projectile problem along with helping marth rack up kos with his side smash. Ike and marth go without saying. Link is good because he helps counter projectile spam with his own projectile spam. Pit (tho i hate him) helps because his "sparrows" alllow you to force the enemy to close in where they can both excell in ko potential.

^ "Sparrows" lol =)

Just out of curiosity, how well do you think Olimar would work? I have no idea, but I am thinking Marth's great edge game could help protect Olimar's poor one.

The great thing about Marth is, he's a character that is easy to keep track of on the battle field. He's a -great- team mate, because he has no projectiles. I find he works great on a team with characters that require set up time on the ground. He's a pretty **** great team mate for Snake. Marth wielding grenades is scary.

With Sonic, Marth can get a limited time [four or so seconds] of total invulnerability via the Spring -> Counter spam.

Snake is a good teammate for Marth. He got the projectiles Marth lacks, plus he can soak up damage like a sponge *and* recovers well. I think Dedede has been mentionned for these reasons. The last two characteristics also apply to Wawawa, but sadly, the big money grubber lacks projectiles aside from tires... baaawww.

Definitely Ike, he is a powerhouse that is devastating in a Marth doubles team. I've also had good experience with TL because of his projectiles and balanced aerials.

Snake, MK, D3, Ike, Sonic, Wolf, Zelda, and Toon Link have been mentioned so far. I personally say team Marth with a good Jigly.

Teammates

Is it just me or has no one mentioned the fact that two Marths (one in the Wedding outfit for obvious reasons) would be a force to be reckoned with. Take everything you love about Marth and double it, and that's the type of team you would get out of two Marths.

Other than that, I immediately thought of Zelda as a great teammate for Marth when I read the first post. Great grabs, solid KO moves (sweetspotted aerials) and a godly projectile.

Final verdict: Zelda and D3 would be absolutely devastating paired with a good Marth for similar reasons.
