How would Ridley even work as a mii :/

Look at the K. Rool Mii Costume. Replace K. Rool's upper jaw with Ridley's upper jaw. Change the Mii's K. Rool body-costume into Ridley's SSB4 design, while keeping in mind the proportions to the Mii. Then add in a cosmetic pair of (small) wings and a little tail and you have a Ridley Mii Costume.

As for other potential costumes, Impa, Takamaru, and Black Shadow come to mind.

The Fighters from Kid Icarus Uprising. There could be one version for each Mii Fighter type, each with a different weapon from the game, and the armor would be the Mii's favorite color, like how it worked in Free-For-Alls with the Mii assigned to your save file.

A mii cosplaying as Krystal is an absolutely horrifying mental image.

I suppose since the odds of Captain N aren't exactly great (as in I wouldn't bet on him getting into SSB12 at this rate) I could settle for a CapN costume. Or at the least any costume with a NES Zapper, or even the Wii Zapper.

Pokemon I doubt will get any because the Pokemon company are ridiculous picky over their IP, hence why Yoshi can't get a Pikachu skin in Wooly World.

Though it makes sense that the Megaman characters/costumes literally look like an armor, if not already an armor. Same wouldn't really work too well for Sonic characters.

I totally dig this thread. And it already looks like Sakurai is using the costumes to add characters without breaking his "rules" for new fighters. Isabelle was already an assist trophy before she got in as a costume. So I'm definitely hoping for at least Takamaru as well. I also really like the thoughts about the indies, especially Shovel Knight for swordfighter.

And I'm kinda nervous about bringing this up because I know it might be controversial for many reasons, but if fan demand is too strong for a character but Sakurai doesn't want to put him in, then that character could become a Mii costume...

...so what about Goku's clothes, Goku's hair, Saiyan armor, and a Saiyan scouter?

And I'd counter with "Namco Bandai does teh anime gamez" that so many are saying for why Goku has a shot as a fighter...and we all know he doesn't...

I don't think turning ICies into Mii costume would work, and so doesn't any veterans in general. There's no class ICies are compatible with to begin, and reducing a veteran into a Mii costume will probably make the Smash fans rage like K Rool thread's first impression when they found K Rool being a costume.

Yeah, releasing veteran Mii Fighter costumes is far worse than potential characters later. Fans would not at all except a replacement for a playable fighter, and Sakurai I don't think would do it either. The potential for a Mii costume to be added as playable later is there, but for veterans I don't think he'd do that BEFORE they are brought back. (After they are brought back, maybe.)
