Now that HugS and Hylian have strayed from the true way who is the best? i know its a bit early to say but there has to be a clear frontrunner. and please dont say that Xyro guy. he seems like a douchenozzle. Any ideas?

*nudge*It's a general consensus that Tudor is the best Samus main in Brawl. You also have Rohins and Xyro. I don't know who this "Kyne" is, though. I hope that's not a spelling error of Hylian.

Xyro is no more of a douchnozzle than the next guy.... XNow that HugS and Hylian have strayed from the true way who is the best? i know its a bit early to say but there has to be a clear frontrunner. and please dont say that Xyro guy. he seems like a douchenozzle. Any ideas?
Lets help each other ^^
*Didn't hit cause tudor was airdodging like a good Samus would and then zairs xyro out of his airdodge**Z-airs tudor in the face*
Then I'll have to say Xyro has the best Samus....Now, now, girls, you're getting off topic.
Anyways, I'm just going to say Tudor has the best Samus off of sheer principle and experience. >>
See, i like this, nowhere do you claim to be the "best" but instead "one of the best" i like that. that is something that defines a great player. one of the thing's i've noticed about great players(Taj told me something along thes lines about 6 years ago when i met him)"A great player know's he's not the best but a bad player will claim to be." I can't count the people i 4-stocked in melee who claimed to be "the best"Personally, I really don't think there will ever be a BEST SAMUS. And if someone is given that title, then it's not fair to all the other Samus mains. I like to think I am one of the best, and a lot of other people would probably agree with me, but that's not the point. What's important is that we all keep getting better with her. I hate seeing people brag about placing, I consistently place top 10 every Monday at PnT but you don't see me making a new thread (I play with the best in Vegas, which are some of the best in the country). I also consistently place first or second in teams with TKO. Who cares. Placing is good, but it isn't everything and it doesn't prove everything. Those of us who dedicate our time to Samus have good Samus's, but we all have room for improvement too. Lets help each other ^^
True, but also think about the fact that just because Samus-A beat Samus-B doesn't mean that Samus-B wouldn't beat player-X when Samus-A lost to player-X.the best samus is subjective, some ppl say its based on who wins the most and some say its who has the most unique playstyle.
Hehe, if you're ever in the Gilbert/tempe area, or i went to the coolidge area. i would love to play you. I would try to get a bunch of people together for the occaision of course.aright this was what i was looking for. Kyne i am also an AZ samus main. I would love to learn from you man. Sounds to me like Tudor has general consensus of being the best. Now i agree with him that with different playstyles and matchups there is no sure way to know who is the best, but come on... We all knew in Melee that no matter what matchup, HugS would pwn our faces in a match. (I had it done to me.....oh it hurt....) But its good to see Samus players placing high and doing well. Really the reason i started this thread is because I want to get great at Samus like I was in melee but i can't seem to find the nitch. So.... I'm trying to find who has found that nitch and hopefully get some inspiration. Capiche? Alright. And Xyro, i've seen your vids and you play a mean Samus i will give you that. But dude, a little humility never killed anyone... lol
Just my luck! I've lived here my entire life and i finally find a good samus main in AZ and I'm moving. Anytime I am in the Gilbert/Tempe area i'll be sure to let you know. I'm moving down to tucson. From what i hear Froward holds tri-weeklies. so hopefully i can up my game there.Hehe, if you're ever in the Gilbert/tempe area, or i went to the coolidge area. i would love to play you. I would try to get a bunch of people together for the occaision of course.
Were you by any chance at Critical Hit 3? I think you might have met a bunch of my crew members (Toasty or Slash ring a bell?) I really wanted to go to meet some more Samus players but no dice.See, i like this, nowhere do you claim to be the "best" but instead "one of the best" i like that. that is something that defines a great player. one of the thing's i've noticed about great players(Taj told me something along thes lines about 6 years ago when i met him)"A great player know's he's not the best but a bad player will claim to be." but I can almost guarantee you are the best Samus in NV, and i can almost guarantee i am the best Samus in AZ. however, there is no way to be sure. there might be a group of people in our respective states that are incredible at the game, but don't go to tournaments(they're out there)anyways, i like your additude Tudor.
True, but also think about the fact that just because Samus-A beat Samus-B doesn't mean that Samus-B wouldn't beat player-X when Samus-A lost to player-X.
Player-A>Player-B>Player-X>player-A.
So until there is a player-A who beats player-B and every player-X. then there won't truly be a best, but instead a great proud few.
One of the great thing's about Samus is the options she has in each situation. what people do in different situations is what defines thier style.(obvious statement etc)
Anyway's, i forgot to state my opinion on the subject in my earlier post.
Tudor, cool guy, great Samus. most commonly spoke of as "the best" therefor probably the most well known.
Rohins, never met him, interesting style of play, also great samus.
Xyro, reminds me of coreygames(always trolls people and claims to be better than everyone) don't like that. his samus reminds me of Mike Nasty. showy, and amazing on occaision. but might turn up a bit short.(still not bad though <3)
And Me. but i don't judge myself. you would have to talk with Dookdigity, Glide or other AZ locals for a truly unbiased opinion.

As for the HugS thing, yeah, he was known as the best. and many came close, including myself, I almost won a 10$ MM ditto against him, it was so close(last stock every match, over 100%) He was safe, smart and deadly at the same time.
And the "niche" statement. everyone has thier own style, and there really is no "Best" but there are the great, the proud few who love the character and do her justice.
I just don't like Xyro's attitude. If you meet people like Azen or Tudor, they're usually a bit more humble, and don't go around bragging about how they're the best Samus/Lucario/Peach/Ike/Azen user in the world. He's good, but the only reason he's not getting real recognition as one of the best is because of his attitude.Tudor for top tier.Xyro is pretty good, too. He got 7th place with Samus at a tourney in Texas. There was no Samus higher than 7th place. And with Xyro reaching at least that high with Samus, I'd like to think he's pretty good.
F being humble when you're the best..... Ain't nothing wrong with having confidence...I just don't like Xyro's attitude. I guess we are all going to ignore dope, the only guy here who was in my opinion a semi pro level melee player.hey guys i was goofin around last night and i tried doin some stuff with beams and platforms, i found if u drop down off a platform and immedietly shoot the beam and hold the z button after shooting it, ull go back onto the platform with your shield out, and it seemed like i was invincible for a sec, im sure u can get grabbed out of it and hit maybe, but i was doin it REALLY fast so i dunno. if anyone has tried this, someone lemme kno what u think. i got no vids of it so i cant show u =(
K this has already been quoted but holds my sentiments exactly. IMO Rohins, Tudor are the best Samus players but share a quality between them besides from being great with Samus, and that is their modesty and willingness to help others. I have placed well in tournies I have entered with Samus but am always looking to improve and help others improve so the Samus community can grow as a whole and we can all up our game.Personally, I really don't think there will ever be a BEST SAMUS. And if someone is given that title, then it's not fair to all the other Samus mains. I also haven't seen Xyro spiking a ROB 7 times until his fuel ran out. (I really need to get a replay of that. xD)
Great post and you have a good attitude too. I really like Rohins and you (Kyne). You are both good Samus's and have great things to offer the community. As for Xyro, I think I would need to meet you in person because the internet often makes people act or seem more immature than they really are. Then again it could just be something about Texas smashers that makes them think they are the best no matter what... not naming any names. I did meet a really nice guy from Texas at Nexus though so it would be very unfair to form a negative opinion about Texas as a whole. I have also talked to a lot of Samus main's online and they are all very nice! Especially Dryn, koikaze, and sarahharp.Tudor, cool guy, great Samus. most commonly spoke of as "the best" therefor probably the most well known.
