You might wanna update the 1st post a little bit. US prices for VC games are as follows: $5 for NES, $8 for SNES, and $10 for N64, and then there's all the rest of the speculation that can now be turned into fact.

does it actually come with everything that the US one comes with, or is it the same deal as in Japan, where there's no Wii Sports? b/c if it is the same package as the US one, then I'm headed for the border!codenamerevolution.com
UPDATE 17: Canadians get the Wii on November 19th for $279.99 CAD (its the best deal in the country compared to 360’s Core priced at $399.99 CAD). Wii is now confirmed to be REGION-FREE on First-Party, Third-party it is up to them to lock or not.
yea your right. it just was a big thing for me. i really wnat to watch the DVD Hook on my WiiAh, according to IGN, "...Pokemon Battle [...] will be launching during their launch window in Japan. When can you expect that here in the US? Shortly thereafter." Weither that means soon after our launch this year, or early next year, is not implied.
And no DVD playback is a minor thing. Sony lobbiests wouldn't let us hear the end of it if we had it mind you. (them and their primary-coloured laser)
This is probably pretty old, but I just had to post this... it sums up my feelings with all these anouncements:

Sadly, yes. It'll come out in 2007. I'm stuck with Twilight Princess, then, which actually looks good. (Don't mind me, I dislike Zelda games.)Donut, Why did you say MP3 won't be released a t launch? Was there a delay?
its ok. MP3 will be godly anyway.
True. To all of you Zelda fans out there, let me say that Metroid > Zelda. Believe it.MP3 looks awesome.
Quoted for truth. To all of you Zelda fans out there, let me say that Metroid > Zelda. Believe it.

Wow, I thought I was the only Monkey Ball fan in Smashboards. I loved SMB 1 & 2, and I'm still a proud owner of 2. I've played Adventure in Best Buy, and I agree that it wasn't all that hot. 50 minigames for Banana Blitz?! All of them with multiplayer?! *Plans to save money*Am I the only person excited about Monkey Ball Banana Blitz? I had so much fun with the GC versions (except for Adventure, which I've avoided), and can't wait for not only the 50 (!) minigames of Blitz, but also all of the new 1p levels.
No third party games will have online until 2007 when Nintendo shares the necessary information with them. This was announced a few weeks ago. Ubisoft said they may add online at another time.I have a question:
On the title post of this thread, it says that the first game that will feature online play will be Pokemon... What about RED STEEL? Or was that only considering First-Party games? UbiSoft has said on many occasions that RED STEEL would have online play, and that they were building on online engine from the ground up for the Wii, and such. Did they have to cut it out to save time, I wonder.
