Won my first touney with fox xD.

Ok, it was a college freindlies but alot of people who use to **** me hardcore in Melee lost to me xD. Stuff is fun as **** but i don't have much time for a real tourney, prolly wont get half as far.

Some general questions i want to ask, i ran into some problems while playing in the tourney so i was wondering what the fox community thought.

Snake, Luigi and too many falcos... oh my.

Luigi first of is a major !#%!%^... can't combo, hard to get close to, never dies and hurts like a mother !@%^@. Anyone got anytips for this dude when it comes to a real luigi player?

I've noticed a huge abundance of falco players, playing at my college, even with a reflector his SHDL, Chaingrab and air priority makes him a pain in the *** to advance on. Any ideas?

And I've learn Dair'ing into a snake is bad... Between him dropping grenades his up Smash and other silly tricks he's another one hard to advance on.

Has anyone else been doing any tourneys that would know how to ease a match up with these three? Would make my life easier next time i show up :S.

Luigi: though all characters are more floaty in brawl compared to melee, i think you can **** luigi a la juggle style in the air. For his survivability, well, he has a lot of that. Just keep at it, I guess. You have more damage output anyway.

Falco: you move faster. use it against him.

Snake: you move faster. his attacks really hurt and can camp a lot, so try to do it up close and personal and fast attack. Not much you can do with his myriad of tools. :|

Add Pikachu to your list. Probably worse than Snake. Out camps you with Thunderbolt, cant approach from air you'll get Thundered, cant even jump behind him/her you'll get Thundered, cant just rush them head on, you'll get fsmashed or dsmashed into oblivion. Pikachu owns ground with his F and Dsmash and completely dominates aerial fights with Thunder. Not to mention Thunder also serves as a "gtfo me" move when you're trying to combo. And a good Pikachu can probably hit you with thunder 3x in a row in the air even if you're DI-ing away, and at that rate you're already dead.

Shine > Thunder, the only thing that drives me nuts about Pikachu is dsmash.

Plus dthrow chaingrab from 0-80% [I hope the reason I get caught till 100% is cause of bad DI, but no one ever answers the question.

Thunder is easy to dodge though, shine >>>.

Played another tourney today, must've been a ****ty day ... losen all day lol.

But i got trashed 1st round by a sonic, i couldnt land a god **** Dair on the dumb blue thing. And every time i missed something cus of his speed i got F smashed or somthing it was irritating...

You can just camp sonic lol. SHDL ftw and mind games. He's light too, so when he's ripe and ready just let loose with a smash.

Might of taken the loss to hard... i three stocked the same sonic player in another match w/ falco, i just found him harder to handle w/o stun lasers.

It's really not a problem ne more, just pressure.

I like to see people use fox in brawl, a lot of the people I know that main fox in melee say that he's unplayable now.... But I think he's still got a lot of potential

Toon link is a terror if played well. Worse than anything except wolf from my experience so far.

eh ive been only playing nub toonlinks, i have yet to play a really good toonlink. the ones ive been playing are almost as predictable and bad as kirby nubs who spam their down b. except in toon link's case it's spamming dair. ive also been able to outcamp these toon links which was lol-able. but i can also see a good toonlink player completely ****** my nub arse
