Okay ya'll, I am not here to start **** or cause problems but I would like to express my disgust for this hypocrisy most of you call competitive Brawling. I am quite a good player in Brawl and usually Smash on normally anyone sent my way. It wasn't until recently where I began to look at other people's "skills" on videos, online, and even in tournaments. I doubt that me bringing this subject up will change anyone's playing but I am hoping you will open your eyes and realize that the glitching, repeating of the same moves over and over, and the jerk it grabs that are repeated also for a quick cheap win isn't the way Brawl was meant to be played. Honestly, I don't understand how you can even have fun playing this game when all you have in your move set is three cheap attacks. Each character has so many different moves and techniques and most of the people that are considered good just dumb it down. I've heard that people like Melee over Brawl simply because there aren't as many of these dumb *** moves in Brawl but that is exactly the reason I love it. The game is hardly competitive when these glitches are brought in which also makes me sad that anyone could even be considered good just because they can do King Dedede's down grab across the whole level only to finish off with a side hammer. This is just one of the many examples I'm sure you know what I mean. I know people like to do whatever it takes to win but come on, don't you get a little bored? In the end it is just a game so how about we start using all the aspects of it and not just little glitches? Wouldn't this bull **** be exactly like Street Fighter II and how you can just keep the other guy in the corner and do your ducking kick to keep them there and easily win? How is that even competitive let alone fun? I know most of you are most likely going to tell me don't play competitive if I have a problem with the way you play and for the most part, I probably won't thanks to a lot of you, but just don't think you are good when you basically cheated your way to the top. Thanks for reading.

Wow, I didn't know I'd be attacked for stating my opinion. The problem with most of you is how you think you can be all big bad tough guy over the internet. I'd love to see how you'd speak to me in real life. But that's another story, anyway I care what I think and I believe that I'm right in the end. You can keep playing how you play like I said, but just don't think you are good when all you've learned was how to grab all willy nilly. Chill out and don't try to talk down to me when you suck.

I use every attack, and don't glitch across the stage. Some moves I use a lot simply because they're so good. (Lucario d-air, b move) But it doesn't mean I won't ever use the other "not so good" moves because they're more useful in other situations.

1. How is repeatedly spamming the same move cheap? It's predictable, and if someone literally only uses 3 moves on you and it works, there's something wrong with the way you're playing.
Unless it's KevinM

2. King Dedede's dthrow is not a glitch. It's just really good.

3. Try winning against the best in the country when you're not using what is most effective. If you can do so, come back to me.

Well, I may not agree with some of the methods used to win, but if it is legal in a tournament people will always use it. You play to win and that means doing whatever it takes to win. I don't use any of them because I believe they are "cheap" and were not intended to be in the game, but that is just what I believe. However if I were in a tournament with a cash prize I'm sure even I would use these tricks to win. Either way people have the choice to play the game how they want, weather it be in a competative way or a casual friendly way.

I'd say "Money match me noob" then you'd whine and complain that you have no money, and I'd laugh and walk away.

1. Although it is predictable they come and get me right when I get up not even allowing my character to move and also I don't know which of the 3 moves they will be using.

2. I never said his down throw was a glitch, it was just an example of how cheap people can be in the game.

3. Yea but because they use the cheap moves doesn't make them the best in the Country, it makes them the best bot looking mofo in the country. Find me the best person who uses all the moves of the character or at least more than 5 moves and I will gladly accept defeat. I do accept defeat each time I am defeated as I am not some little punk ***** but whether they deserve that win or not is another thing completely.

There are ways to NEVER GET IN THESE so called "cheap attacks".
It's called SPOTDODGING!
And MOVING!
And ROLLING, and SO MUCH MORE!
OH NO!
But that would require......WORK!

You have a point and if you read closely to what I was saying then you'd notice that I know it's legal and they can do what they want. I just don't like the fact that they are glorified for their "strategy." And to Big Blue, you should really calm the **** down, I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't give a rats *** what you think but still have to see it. Don't be in here if you don't like what I'm saying or don't be an ******* in my thread.

Grab all the ****ing money you got, player and bring your worn out Game Cube controller. Don't type as if you know me son, because unlike a lot of you I actually have controllers made for the Wii, 4 Classics with 4 Wii motes and bought it all with my own money. Tell me who doesn't have money now ***** when I had all that **** before even getting Brawl, noob.

You should go hang out at The official tier discussion. They are a nice bunch of kids, especially to noobs like you!
What is the point of calling someone a noob? Does it bring you happiness? Not only did you insult him but you insulted other people. Don't bother replying to this cause I'm not going back to this discussion since it's kinda already dead

this is sad, but I'll answer it anyway.

If you play to win, it's completely different from playing for fun (although many people find it to be one and the same)

In Brawl, even with stale moves upgraded, people use the same moves, because they are good. If a move is junk, it will probably not be used unless people just feel like messing around.

Learn the true competitive scene before spouting off nonsense like this. Only then will you realize that it is more than just playing Smash with your group of friends, and it is the only way you will ever step your game up to the next level.

Realize, I could easily have flamed you instead, because seriously, this is stupid ****, but when you are over being annoyed that someone said your post was stupid, read it again, and understand. It's the only way you will get better

Isn't that the point of an opinion? Nobody cares what you think? Cause usually the opinion belongs to you and no one will really care. In reality no one cares about anyone unless their family. But I don't really care if anyone replies to this though.

Okay Timothy, I am quite certain I am good at the game and know I can use some work as this is the first year the game has been out. I main with Ike, Captain Falcon, and Sheik. I've only learned that Brawl could be broken recently because before that I was playing with people who did real moves. All of the sudden I see people doing the broken **** and I wasn't prepared for that. I don't have friends who play like that though and so I need to get more experience as far as those jerk it's. I know I am good, not the best, but good. Oh and could someone shut that 14 year old kid up, he's talking out of his *** and it stanks.

I know you, because all you're doing is talking trash like you own the place. That makes you a scrub. And scrubs suck, no exceptions. And "cheap" is a word noobs and scrubs use when they can't think of anything to counter something. /end

I'm really glad you decided not to flame me. I really would've been devastated. ANYWAY, know that I am not complaining about the god **** game, the god **** competitiveness, or even how I KNOW I can get better and beat these cheap *****. Take a second to re-read as you advised and know that I am just irritated that people who spam are considered good players. Only then will you unlock the true meaning of being a good reader. Congratulations! (When you have accomplished this.)

If that 14 year old is me, then I'm sorry....that you are.

Seriously, just don't get grabbed.
Punish those who DO try and grab.
I may not know you, but I can tell you don't think things through.

Oh, and many people DON'T spam.
It's called using all of your attacks a lot.
Lasers in between punches and kicks isn't spamming, it's opportunity to follow up with another attack.

If you were good at the game, you wouldn't be complaining. Also, please stop making those eyesore blocks of text, take a lesson from PCHU.
@Chibi: Yes, I actually LOVE calling people noobs who are true noobs. Nothing makes me happier.

Oh please! Did you just wake up today and want an internet fight or something? Really, what's your deal? Never did I talk trash to anyone. I talked trash to the way someone plays which most likely is someone like you, getting all butt hurt and what not. Calm the **** down! Read my posts and pop your zits, boy. You are looking sillier and sillier trying to squabble with me.

Can we just go ahead and settle that I am not complaining? Can we please? I am tired of you guys saying that as your little come back. Well whatever, most of you seem so one-sided and go with popular opinion so I guess there it is. I came to express an opinion and you just like to **** on it. I guess this must be the highlight of your day, that you can team up and attack someone who just wanted to speak his voice. You are really really super cool and awesome. Whatever, you guys are the noobs and if you'd like to see how noobish I am we can always Brawl, biatch. Oh and stop reading my **** if you don't like the way I type, in fact just bounce out. Learn to accept not all people think like you and before you ask me to do the same, realize that I am well aware of that. Quit acting like such a girl Tim.

Don't act innocent.
You basically poked a lion, calling it cheap for using it's fangs.
And you don't expect the REST of them to respond to that?

I was going to say something else, but I'm pretty sure someone else will say it better than I will.

Um, if I am not mistaken that is a place to complain about the great game that is Brawl. Please show me the place where I can complain about your type of players and how not good they really are. :bee:
Basically you have a problem with the game since you obviously can't compete. I'll just let the mods handle the rest of this for now.
