Wow, I didn't know I'd be attacked for stating my opinion. The problem with most of you is how you think you can be all big bad tough guy over the internet. I'd love to see how you'd speak to me in real life. But that's another story, anyway I care what I think and I believe that I'm right in the end. You can keep playing how you play like I said, but just don't think you are good when all you've learned was how to grab all willy nilly. Chill out and don't try to talk down to me when you suck.

Yeah, I agree that chaingrabbing with Dedede is cheap, but I'm not gonna complain because you can find ways round it.

You have to realize that the game was created like this, we're just using what the game was created with. Your posts tend to be EXTREMELY ironic, it's not cheating, it's taking advantage of what the game is made like.

Learn to play a game before you try to insult it. You basically seem to be calling all of us cheap for using techniques and moves that we've all spent quite a bit of time practicing. I get the feeling you wouldn't be calling it cheap if you understood how the game/competitive scene worked.

And by the way, who told you the game wasn't intended to be played to the fullest extent that it can be played to. I think you're playing the game wrong if you don't get the most out of it you can. I believe that sakurai didn't want us to use anyone except mario, and you're not playing the game the way it was intended to be played if you use anyone else. (just kidding I'm not an idiot)

That's pretty much what you're saying! They spent years developing and balancing this game. If there are moves that you can use in a cheap way, chances are they knew about it, and don't care. So please don't come in here and tell us that we're playing the game wrong. And if you do, try to back it up with an argument that can't be summarized as "People beat me using moves that I didn't know how to use."

I advice you to read my first post over and over until it gets into your thick skulls that I KNOW people will play how they play. Seeing these cheap tactics was new to me as I stated before and I KNOW I need more practice with I guess most of your type before learning how to beat them. Were you an excellent crazy *** Brawler or cheater when you FIRST got the game or even first played someone new who handled you? I really doubt it. Enough is too much so allow me to try and be the bigger man on this now ridiculous thread when I say, quite attacking me and read that cheaters aren't good Brawler's! They exist, they will play the game, you might be one of them and rest assured that I WILL find a way to beat you in TIME. You guys are so tough and great at Brawl, I get it. With that said can we get back to the real point of my thread being how can you consider that way to be good at Brawl? What I meant was that the lion had fangs- teeth that go through you body, rather than the person calling it cheap, the one with no fangs (fangs representing chaining and various other 'locks), thinking that the lion sucks because it's not playing 'fair' or 'by the rules'.

I'm finding the whole point of this thread so useless now. Here I was foolish enough to think I could ask simply how you can consider spamming moves good fun play or even do it in tournaments without getting so bored and I get people thinking I hate the game or hate the people who play and yatta yatta yatta. Obviously mostly none of you fools have read my posts thoroughly enough to see where I am coming from and I guess I'll just have to deal with that. As a closing statement I have played people on here quite a few times, have handled and gotten handled but have never given up. Never ever did I insult the greatness that is my absolutely favorite game, Brawl in any way shape or form but i guess have insulted the mindless people who see that I don't think they are good for repeating their "practiced" moves and get all crazy with me for that. I'm sorry I won't disgrace myself and use your methods with those and indeed cheap tactics as I know these forums explain exactly how to do them. I've always been really into all of the Super Smash Bros. games but have refused to make my character look like some drone doing the same thing over and over again. It looks ugly to me and doesn't sit right in my opinion. If I do recall right, the creator even tried to get rid of a lot of the glitches so the game could be fun for everyone but of course you poke enough to find a way to just bring that all back. Whatever, you people = **** that saw that I don't think you are good for doing that and tried to get on my back about it. At least I know how people are who play Smash Bros. A bunch of little *****es who will gang up on anyone who disses the way they will play instead of just trying to see where I am coming from. BJ threw his controller into the TV.
"CHEATER! HE'S JUST A NO GOOD CHEATER!" BJ Shouted.
He decided it was time for one last round against the mean, evil cheater. Within seconds, the opposing Marth charged his defenseless Ike, slashing him with tipped F-air after tipped F-air, and then a Tipped Down air off the ledge. BJ lost his first stock.
"IM TIRED OF THIS CHEATER! I'M GOING TO FIND OUT A WAY TO DESTROY EVERY CHEATER ON EARTH!" BJ screamed.
He threw his Custom-Built Wii controller at the TV, but it missed and it hit the Wii, breaking it, and his brawl disk. Not even Ike, his big, strong warrior Ike could destroy the cheater war machine.
BJ started crying softly, he facepalmed and ran out of million dollar theater.
BJ's boyfriend crossed him in the hallway. "Hey...hey now BJ, it's no big deal, you're still the biggest, toughest man I know!" He said.
"ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" BJ Yelled.
"I can play Brawl with you. We can both be Ike. Because he's big and strong, we can take the cheater down together! As teammates!"
"No thanks. BJ replied. I think I know what must be done."
After a quick kiss with his boyfriend, BJ was off.
BJ Speedwalked into his computer room.
"Computer on." BJ Said, he was so rich that he had a custom voice-activated computer.
BJ slammed his keyboard.
"No time for paragraphs," BJ stated to himself "I'm in the zone."
When it was all done, BJ pounded his spacebar, to get out the last of his frustration.
BJ knew this would destroy the evil cheaters once and for all.
He took a sigh of relief, and sat back in his chair, content.
He had completed his mission.

Why does it matter how they play the game, one person enjoys something you may find stupid or cheap. This isn't against anyone either, a good chunk of the people on this forum play competitively and will do what it takes to win.

Seriously, go to a tourneyment and spam the same three moves and chances are you're gonna lose. So basically...some people do things their way, if you don't like that they spam or think it's cheap, just don't play those people. It's a game, just have fun.

I laughed really hard at this. That's an amusing tale and I am being honest when I say that. I am done trying to make my opinion be heard. I just wanted to post this because I honestly cracked the **** up. Good job mate. Now in an effort to not make me completely hated on this thread is there a way I could erase this bogus thread? I wouldn't mind keeping it on, especially because this **** was pretty funny, but I really don't think people are getting why I posted this thread and I am honestly in fear that no one will want to play with me thinking that I can't take defeat when I have so many times. I am quite a good player in Brawl and usually Smash on normally anyone sent my way.

Tournament experiance?

It wasn't until recently where I began to look at other people's "skills" on videos, online, and even in tournaments. I doubt that me bringing this subject up will change anyone's playing but I am hoping you will open your eyes and realize that the glitching, repeating of the same moves over and over, and the jerk it grabs that are repeated also for a quick cheap win isn't the way Brawl was meant to be played.

The bolded text is the only part that I can wholeheartly agree with you.
Glitching? Unless your opponent is using a USB Geeko or other hacking device that I'm forgetting or not aware of yet, these are just techniques used to the best of Brawl's metagame (the small amount Brawl has). As said numberous flammed threads, no moves are cheap except specific infinates that require no skill, such as Marth's chokegrab against Ness and Lucas.

Honestly, I don't understand how you can even have fun playing this game when all you have in your move set is three cheap attacks. Each character has so many different moves and techniques and most of the people that are considered good just dumb it down. I've heard that people like Melee over Brawl simply because there aren't as many of these dumb *** moves in Brawl but that is exactly the reason I love it. The game is hardly competitive when these glitches are brought in which also makes me sad that anyone could even be considered good just because they can do King Dedede's down grab across the whole level only to finish off with a side hammer. This is just one of the many examples I'm sure you know what I mean.

The reason Smashers (not all of them) prefer Melee is the fast pased, punishable metagame that it offered. Combo's existed in Melee. In Brawl, it has reached a point where spamming is 'super effective', chain-grabbing is one of the most advanced technique (slightly groans), and the removal of useful techs/addition of useless add-ons (give me a T, R, I, P, P, I, N, G). DI is still in Brawl, so there are plenty of ways to get out of DDD's chaingrab, only a few characters are infinates.

I know people like to do whatever it takes to win but come on, don't you get a little bored? In the end it is just a game so how about we start using all the aspects of it and not just little glitches? Wouldn't this bull **** be exactly like Street Fighter II and how you can just keep the other guy in the corner and do your ducking kick to keep them there and easily win? How is that even competitive let alone fun?

Exactly why we need to bring back Melee, because Brawl is no fun. Play to win hasn't died and will not die when money is on the line.

I know most of you are most likely going to tell me don't play competitive if I have a problem with the way you play and for the most part, I probably won't thanks to a lot of you, but just don't think you are good when you basically cheated your way to the top. Thanks for reading.
