I'm not weeaboo, I favor all the world's animation over Americans. American animation is 60 years behind. It can be summed up easily as talking animals redoing old stories with racial profiling inserted. Pixar, Disney, its all a joke in comparison to the beauty of animation that exist outside of this country. We don't take animation seriously, and until we do, I won't take American animation seriously, because its a ****ing joke, nothing more, nothing less.You're...you're kidding, right?

And just because the movies have tropes in them doesn't automatically make the movies bad (even if they all were to have the same trope), as long as they aren't relying on a single trope for their entire success.
I still think it's a tremendous stretch to discredit the entirety of Pixar (much less ALL American animation) based on the continued use of a single, accessible trope.
Also, when you talk about the asian kid in Up, what racial characteristics are you referring to, exactly? More importantly, what about him made you think that his character revolved solely around racial profiling? I'm not exactly sure how you could even come to that conclusion; he seemed very race-neutral to me (other than his appearance). I don't know what part of him as a character you thought they drew from his being asian.

The difference between old school Dreamworks and Pixar is that while both often use the talking animal trope, Dreamworks repeatedly abuses and relies on it to sell their films. Hence the previous image "And they all make this face"
I'm hoping How To Train Your Dragons means a new future future for the company. Hopefully they will continue to take film making seriously, rather than the easy cash-ins they've been getting away with for the last decade or so (which is what I assume is the cause of all this bitterness you have towards American animation).

Find me a single American animation whose visual creativeness comes anywhere close to that of the film Mind Game. The subject matter explored by American animation is mother ****ing pitiful, and the closest thing to inventive animation is coming out soly from the creators of Flapjack and Adventure Time. American animation has remained unchanged for decades now, telling the same old tired stories, and nearly void of any sort of innovation. Its ****ing child play compared to the rest of the world, and you can excuse it as "making a profit" or sticking to a valid formula, because both simply go to prove my point, that American animation doesn't take itself seriously. It sees no reason to invest in itself, and so it has stagnated into a ****ing cess pool of mediocre **** that lacks in any sort of artistic spirit.

Flapjack and Adventure Time are amazing shows, but uhhhh it's hard to tell if you're being sarcastic or serious.
